Almighty Sweet Queen is Really Rich!

Chapter 336: Chapter 337: Ha, This Is Fake Too

The two of them arrived at the cinema and checked for the latest horror movie, ”Ghost Store Horror.” The earliest showing would be at 10 PM.

Feng Huaijin glanced at the realistic poster and couldn’t help but furrow his brows slightly, remarking, ”It’s too late, let’s watch another movie.”

Feng Huaijin wasn’t interested in horror movies; he usually watched documentaries during his free time.

Feng Huaijin glanced at Su Li, figuring that girls like her probably preferred those mushy romantic films, right?

Su Li, excited, quickly responded, ”No, I want to watch this one. Besides, the tickets are for ’Ghost Store Horror.’ If we don’t watch it, they’ll go to waste.”

Feng Huaijin’s brows furrowed tightly, and he reminded her in a deep voice, ”It’s too late.” It will be midnight by the time it’s over.

Su Li didn’t care much, patting him on the shoulder, she said, ”Let’s grab a meal downstairs first, then the timing will be perfect when we get back. I’ll treat you to dinner.”

Feng Huaijin secretly grumbled in his heart, who needed her to treat? When had he ever let her spend a dime?

The two went downstairs for a meal. Su Li ate happily, but she noticed that Feng Huaijin opposite her seemed a bit indifferent to the taste.

After dinner, they lingered around the cinema for a while until the movie was about to start.

Su Li suddenly remembered and quickly said, ”I think it’s a couple’s seat. How about we switch to regular ones...”

Feng Huaijin strode in with his long legs, his figure upright and tall as he entered the cinema.

She didn’t want to switch earlier, and now she wanted to? Too late!

This was a special couple’s private room, and Su Li felt a bit uneasy as she stepped in.

He sat on the soft sofa, one elbow resting on the armrest, watching the stiff Su Li with interest, his voice deep and smooth like water, ”Come sit down, why are you standing there? Isn’t this what you wanted to watch?”

Su Li hurriedly sat down beside him, and then heard him say softly, ”Why sit so far away? Do you think I’ll eat you?”

Su Li chuckled awkwardly and scooted closer to him.

The atmosphere in the room, just the two of them, was somewhat ambiguous, and Su Li found herself nervously anxious, but fortunately, the big screen in front had already started the opening scene.

Su Li hugged the popcorn she had bought in advance, her eyes fixed on the screen without blinking.

It was indeed worth her anticipation; the plot was tense and unexpected, the horror elements popping up now and then made her hair stand on end.

Su Li was engrossed when she faintly heard someone nearby chuckle coldly, ”Fake.”

”Ha, this is fake too.”

Su Li turned her head in surprise, using the dim light from the screen to look at Feng Huaijin’s profile. It was slightly pale, and his fingers were gripping that cup of icy cola, the distinct joints a bit white.

Seeing this, Su Li couldn’t help but stifle a laugh, suddenly realizing he had moved a bit closer to her.

He was afraid of ghosts.

Su Li gave a mischievous smile, ”Mr. Qi, scared? Want me to hug you?”

Feng Huaijin turned his head to look at Su Li, ”...”

Feng Huaijin turned away, huffed coldly, and asked, ”You don’t believe in these things?”

Su Li thought for a moment and replied, ”It’s not that I don’t believe, it’s that I haven’t done anything bad, so if they exist, they shouldn’t be after me, right?”

Feng Huaijin’s long eyelashes gently lowered, covering the gloom in his eyes, and his aura grew colder.

He had committed quite a few wrongdoings.

In the quiet booth, it seemed only the movie played on, the air conditioning set a bit low, making it slightly chilly.

A WeChat notification sound broke the tense atmosphere.

Feng Huaijin looked at Su Li, frowned, and said, ”Did you not mute your phone?”

Su Li was puzzled, opened her small bag and took out her phone, ”I muted it earlier, where did this notification come from?”

Su Li clicked it open to see.
