Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

The Abyssal Shadow Demon died.

Following their boss’s death, the remaining Abyssal Demons fell into despair.

They were cut down amidst miserable screams.

The military badges of Lin Moyu and Ning Yiyi kept shining as military merit accumulated.

In this clash, the two gained 1,200 military merit each.

The Abyssal Shadow Demon provided the most military merit -- 1,000 in total or 500 per person.

The other 14 Demons, who were below level 40, provided 100 military merit or 50 per person each.

At this time, Lin Moyu’s military merit exceeded 3,000.

Ning Yiyi’s military merit reached 1,800.

In addition to military merit and EXP, they also obtain a Demon Crystal.

This is also one of the requirements of the mission issued by Bai Yiyuan.

The mission requires Lin Moyu to kill Abyssal Demons and obtain Demon Crystal.

Bai Yiyuan seems to have predicted that Lin Moyu would encounter Demons above level 40 and thus included it in the mission.

Ning Yiyi smiled and said, ”In the future, I will pretend to be scared and draw them to us, so that they don’t run away.”

This is indeed a solution, but it’s not foolproof.

Lin Moyu said, ”But, if we encounter Demons with long-range attack ability, it’ll be troublesome.”

There are countless kinds of Demons, including many with long-range attack ability.

If you encounter them, they can hide at high altitudes and release their skills. They can run at any time, making them quite troublesome.

Demons aren’t monsters. They are intelligent, and they will run if they’re no match for the opponent.

”I hope I’ll get a suitable skill at level 30.”

At present, his EXP reached level 26 (89%). He’s about to level up.

Once he has reached level 30, he can consume elementary skill scrolls and learn and master new skills.

Perhaps things will improve then.

...

Xiajing Academy, God Bai Courtyard.

Meng Anwen stared at Bai Yiyuan in a daze.

He is usually calm and rarely shows such an expression.

”Are you crazy?” He muttered a question.

Bai Yiyuan chuckled, ”What do you mean crazy? I want to see where the kid’s limit lie.”

”Tyrant Desert, a large-scale dungeon, couldn’t hold him back and instead allowed him to earn a large amount of points.”

”Dragonkind Frontline Outpost dungeon, hell rank difficulty, posed no challenge either.”

”Thousands of Hell Hounds just gave away their lives.”

”I think the Elemental Secret Realm won’t be able to stop him either.”

Meng Anwen creased his eyebrows and asked, ”Do you think it’s the same? What is the level of the Elemental Secret Realm, what is the level of those dungeons?”

”The Elemental Queen is comparable to a level 40 high-level Demon in terms of attributes, and its skills are even more powerful. It’s not like you don’t know this.”

”Lin Moyu does have many skeletons. But, the Elemental Queen doesnt fear crowd attacks.”

Bai Yiyuan was completely relaxed, ”It’s okay. If he can’t defeat it, he can always escape. It’s good to occasionally suffer a loss. At least, we’ll know where the kid’s limit lies.”

”If he doesn’t suffer any losses, won’t that make me seem superfluous.”

”Besides, even if he dies, it doesn’t matter. With the brand in the Hall of Heroes, he won’t really die.”

”And it’s not just the Elemental Secret Realm, I also sent him to the Third Battlefield, to kill Demons at the Abyss’s boundary, and to go to the Abyss’s outpost dungeon located there.”

Meng Anwen stared at the nonchalant-looking Bai Yiyuan.

He suddenly smiled and asked, ”Didn’t you forget something?”

”What do you mean?”

Bai Yiyuan doesn’t like he forgot anything.

”Old Ning’s granddaughter is with Young Lin, and she hasn’t left a brand in the Hall of Heroes. If she dies...”

”Old Ning will probably fight you to the death!”

Slap!

Bai Yiyuan slapped his thigh and said, ”Crap, I forgot about this.”

”What now? I’ll go look for them and bring them back.”

Seeing Bai Yiyuan lose his composure, Meng Anwen’s smile widened, ”Now you know fear? But it should be okay. Although Yiyi didn’t leave a brand in the Hall of Heroes, but Old Ning should have placed a Soul Protecting Charm on her.”

Upon hearing the words Soul Protecting Charm, Bai Yiyuan breathed a sigh of relief, ”Why didn’t you say so earlier?”

”I’m just saying, but the next time you should be more careful and thorough,” Meng Anwen said softly and closed his eyes again.

At this moment, Bai Yiyuan relaxed completely and grabbed his tea cup. ”Then things should be okay. Even if they come across high-level Demons at the Abyss’s boundary, at worst they’ll come back from death.”

”What do you mean by come back from death?” A voice suddenly rang out, and Ning Tairan walked in.

He sat down and asked again, ”What do you mean by come back from death?”

Bai Yiyuan quickly shook his head and said, ”It’s nothing, you heard wrong.”

Old Ning mustn’t learn about this.

Otherwise, his courtyard house is unlikely to be devastated.

Ning Tairan asked, ”Where did you send the stinky kid this time?”

Although Ning Tairan asked about Lin Moyu, but in fact, what he wants to know is where Ning Yiyi has gone.

Bai Yiyuan replied, ”I sent him to the Dimensional Battlefield. Don’t worry, with Young Lin around, your precious granddaughter will be fine. Besides, you’ve placed a Soul Protecting Charm on her.”

Ning Tairan snorted coldly, ”If anything happens to my granddaughter, I’ll make you pay.”

Bai Yiyuan said with a smile, ”Don’t worry, nothing will happen.”

He doesn’t dare to tell Ning Tairan the true whereabouts of Lin Moyu and Ning Yiyi.

Meng Anwen closed his eyes and forced back a smile, the corners of his mouth twitching.

...

The Third Battlefield, the Abyss’s boundary.

The mist suddenly dissipated and a black portal appeared.

Pairs of crimson eyes emerged behind the portal.

The Abyss’s energy entered the Third Battlefield without any obstacles.

The Abyss’s energy scattered on the Third Battlefield, and Abyssal Maneaters promptly appeared on the battlefield.

In the blink of an eye, thousands of Maneaters appeared in different locations of the Third Battlefield.

At this time, the masters of the crimson eyes rushed out of the black portal.

In the blink of an eye, a total of 20 Demons appeared on the Third Battlefield.

”Ha-ha-ha, I’ve arrived at the Human World!”

”The delicious human flesh of legend, I’m here to taste it!”

”Humans, wash your necks and wait for me!”

The Demons let out grating laughter.

All of a sudden, a massive amount of magic attacks rained down and submerged them.

The Abyssal Demons were stupefied at first, then bellowed.

”Who!”

”Who dares to attack me!”

”Ah! It hurts! I’m going to kill you!”

”You’re dead!”

With a buzzing sound, red light descended.

A red chain pattern appeared on the heads of the Demons.

The bellows came to an abrupt halt.

Subsequently, Skeletal Warriors jumped up high and landed on the Demons, and then rapidly restrained them, so as not to allow them to escape.

After they were cursed and restrained, these Demons became sitting ducks.

The Skeletal Warriors brandished their large blades. Consequently, blood shot into the air, and the Demons released cries of agony.

Limbs and wings were severed, and Demon blood gushed out as if from fountains.

In response, the Dimensional Battlefield’s black earth has become even more abstruse.

At this moment, several Abyssal Maneater corpses were thrown into the middle of the Abyssal Demons.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Skill: Corpse Explosion!

Lin Moyu faced the sky and detonated the Abyssal Maneater corpses.

Although the Abyssal Maneaters can’t compare to Abyssal Demons in terms of attributes, bzt their health isn’t low.

After being amplified by 30 times, Corpse Explosion will deal 600% of the Abyssal Maneaters’ health as damage.

If it were only one Abyssal Maneater, the Demons might still have been able to withstand it.

Yet after being battered by a number of explosions in a row, the Abyssal Demons had no choice but to fold.

...

Following the explosions, the group of Abyssal Demons that just entered the Third Battlefield died.

They didn’t even have a chance to fly away and escape and were killed almost in an instant.

They were extremely unlucky to have appeared in front of Lin Moyu.

After killing the 20 Abyssal Demons, Lin Moyu and Ning Yiyi each gained 1,000 military merit.

”This is a spatial channel between the Abyss and the Human World.” Ning Yiyi looked curiously at the black portal tens of meters away.

The black portal, which is about 10 meters tall, shimmered with pitch black light and occasionally streaked with lightning.

The space around the portal distorted and fluctuated as if waves in water.

This is the first time Lin Moyu has seen a spatial channel -- a node where the Abyssal World and the Human World collide and come into contact -- with his own eyes.

In addition to designated channels, temporary channels will naturally arise from time to time.

Most temporary channels can only last for a few minutes if not less.

Furthermore, such channels are very fragile, and can only accommodate the passage of weaker Demons.

Lin Moyu and Ning Yiyi are both curious about the spatial channel and the Abyssal World that lies behind which it.

The Abyss’s energy continuously flowed into the Dimensional Battlefield from the spatial channel and turned into Abyssal Maneaters.

”Oh, there are more Demons coming.”

Pairs of crimson eyes appeared in the spatial channel again.

Lin Moyu willed, and a Skeletal Warrior immediately threw a Demon corpse into the spatial channel.

At the moment when the corpse entered the spatial channel, Lin Moyu activated his skill.

Along with a loud explosion, the spatial channel shook violently.
