1 - The Class Awakening Ceremony Begins

Shenxia Empire, Jiangning Province, Xihai City.

Xihai City’s No.1 High School, at the sports field, there are several class users setting up a formation.

Third year students of Xihai City’s No.1 High School will undergo class awakening today.

More than 100 third year students, sitting still and upright, are listening to Principal Lu Yun’s speech.

”Dear students, after three years of studying, you have learned and mastered the theoretical knowledge regarding class users.”

”Today is the day you awaken your class, as well as the day that will determine your future.”

”I will spare you the pleasantries and empty words. I hope you can reach Su Qianxing’s level and become pillars of humanity.”

Su Qianxing, a former student of No. 1 High School, awakened the class Holy Mage. At present, he is a level 80 big shot.

Lu Yun often talks about him to inspire the students.

Lin Moyu looked at the not yet complete class awakening formation on the sports field, a smidge of graveness and anticipation in his eyes.

Having walked this earth for years, Lin Moyu knows what kind of world this is.

This world is a combination of reality and game, where students awaken a class during their third year of high school.

Where EXP [1] can be obtained by clearing dungeons, exploring secret realms, joining battlefields, or killing mobs in the wild.

To raise levels, upgrade skills, and enhance strength.

And fight monsters and create living space for humanity.

Countless brave men and women shed blood, sweat, and tears and sacrificed their lives to achieve the current status quo.

At present, class awakening has a success rate of 100%. Only the question of the quality of classes remains.

The most popular classes are naturally combat classes, followed by support classes and then livelihood classes.

But this is just a rough classification. Although combat classes are popular, it doesn’t mean that support and livelihood classes are necessarily inferior.

Powerful support classes are also coveted. Whether it’s clearing dungeons, raiding secret realms, or joining frontline battlefields, support classes are indispensable.

At times, a support class can be far more important than a combat class.

The same applies to livelihood classes. Class users with incredible livelihood classes are also formidable.

According to Lin Moyu’s understanding, whether a class is amazing or not isn’t directly correlated with its classification.

There are garbage combat classes and incredible support classes.

As a beam of light rose into the sky, the class awakening formation was finally completed.

Lu Yun waved his hand and said, ”Follow me!”

He took the more than 100 students to the sports field.

As he followed the crowd, Lin Moyu wondered what class he will awaken.

There’s no way to tell what class one will awaken.

Some mediocre individuals will awaken powerful combat classes.

Conversely, some outstanding individuals will awaken livelihood classes.

Although he and Xia Xue are known as the two most outstanding geniuses of their school. However, prior to entering the formation, it is unknown whether the class they will awaken is any good.

At this time, Lin Moyu felt a pat on the shoulder.

Gao Yang walked over and asked, a smile on his face, ”What class would you like to awaken?”

Lin Moyu looked at the other party and shook his head, not diving an answer.

Gao Yang carried on with a smile, ”You can tell me, it’s alright. I, for one, want to awaken as a Knight. As you can see, I have the makings of a Knight. By then, I will be able to protect girls.”

His physique is indeed quite suitable for the Knight class.

However, it is not easy to awaken a combat class.

As far as Lin Moyu can tell, there’s only a 10% chance that one will awaken a combat class.

As such, of the more than 100 students, no more than 15 individuals will be able to awaken a combat class.

While Gao Yang prattled on, Lin Moyu only listened quietly, a faint smile on his face.

Lin Moyu is a quiet and reserved person. Although his grades are good, but he doesn’t have many friends.

Many think that there’s something wrong with him.

After he was done speaking, Gao Yang went to talk to someone else.

Someone pulled Gao Yang by the arm, ”What are you doing talking to the mute? He won’t answer you anyway.”

”That’s right. He just has better grades. It’s nothing impressive.”

”Who knows what class he will awaken. Maybe it will be a livelihood class.”

Lin Moyu isn’t too popular among his peers. In fact, many think that he is cold and arrogant.

That he is looking down on others because of his good grades.

Gao Yang smiled and said, ”Actually, Moyu just doesn’t like talking.”

It’s a pity, but no one believed this.

Lin Moyu didn’t explain himself; there’s no need for it.

When the crowd reached the formation, Lu Yun walked up to an old man and said respectfully, ”I’m sorry to have troubled you, Master Zhang.”

Master Zhang shook his head, ”It’s fine.”

Master Zhang didn’t hide his information.

[Zhang Qian, level 52, Formation Great Master.]

Lin Moyu was startled. Formation Great Master, level 52 to boot.

Formation Great Master is a superior class, a superior support class, in fact, and it is rare.

Formation Great Masters are very popular on the battlefield. Once they set up a formation, anyone who enters the area will die.

After exchanging a few pleasantries, Lu Yun and Zhang Qian walked back to the formation.

Lu Yun took out a list and looked at the students, ”The students whose name I call out are to enter the class awakening formation.”

”You have been taught everything you need. Don’t be nervous and just relax.”

”Xu Da, go up!”

Xu Da responded and walked into the class awakening formation, feeling nervous.

The formation started with a rumble. Along with a burst of brilliant light, Xu Da’s class awakening concluded.

[Livelihood class: Farmer]

Xu Da’s face turned slightly pale. Who would have thought he would become a Farmer.

”Xu Da has become a Farmer.”

”Farmer is still okay. If it is upgraded to Great Farmer or even Holy Farmer, it will be a pretty good class.”

”Mhm. Among livelihood classes, Farmer isn’t half bad.”
