My Cards are Infinitely Refreshed

148: 【Red Knife Princess】 Enhanced, batch strengthening unique cardsChapter 148: Red Blade Maiden Enhanced, Batch Strengthening of unique Cards

It must be said, this was absolutely a wonderfully famous scene of this Torch Raising Ceremony,

and it happened in the finals.

On one side, they wanted to heal the enemy’s Character Card to revive the opponent, while on the other side, they wanted to prevent the enemy from Healing their own Character Card.

Ultimately, Shi Li won, and he successfully revealed his trump card as he wished.

The Barrier of cloud river and the powerful output of Red Blade Maiden had already completely secured Shi Li’s victory.

So, this round, he didn’t send out the strongest Flower Cudgel Leader, which was the only remaining card in his deck, but instead brought out Thunderhorn Deer.

In this situation, this Character Card was also very powerful as a trump card.

A Double Strike of 120 damage plus Flaw meant that ordinary cards with a hundred health couldn’t withstand it at all.

Even without considering skills, just with normal attacks, Shi Li’s three cards could deal a high output of 60 + 40 + 60 = 160 in one round.

A Ya Jun’s side Still didn’t have a single card that could withstand it.

So, when A Ya Jun’s four regular cards were cleared and he revealed his trump card, Shi Li’s cloud river and Red Blade Maiden were Still standing firmly on the field.

Red Blade Maiden had even recovered from 5 points of skin health to 55 points of health. Even if A Ya Jun’s trump card was a five-star Character Card and came with a natal hand card, Shi Li didn’t think he would lose in this situation.

As expected, the final result was as he predicted.

”I announce that the champion of this Torch Raising Ceremony is Shi Li from Blue Star!”

Although extremely reluctant, the host Still announced Shi Li’s victory.

He thus became the first outsider in the history of the Banlan Tribe to win the Torch Raising Ceremony and obtain the qualification to personally light the sacred fire, which all Banlan Tribe members yearned for.

The faces of the elders below the stage were quite grim, and the ordinary audience members were filled with both astonishment and a lot of curses.

In this situation, Huo Guang, who originally wanted to celebrate enthusiastically, could only tuck his tail between his legs.

Because he was afraid of being hit in the head with a wine bottle by the locals.

However, having said that, the necessary procedures Still had to be followed.

After the third and fourth-place matches ended, the award ceremony proceeded as usual.

However, due to various factors, the venue had changed.

It moved from the main arena, where tens of thousands gathered, to the inner hall of the palace.

Besides Shi Li and A Ya Jun, another Banlan Tribe card player named A Luya also ranked in the top three.

She was also Shi Li’s defeated opponent; she had a chance in the 4-to-2 match but lost due to Shi Li’s ”sweet talk.”

Standing opposite the three of them at this moment were the three Great Elders.

All of them wore Emerald, and Shi Li couldn’t tell their specific ranks.

The three Great Elders had varying expressions; the Great Elder looked kind and amiable, the Second Elder’s expression was cold, and the Third Elder had a look of utter disgust.

”Shi Li Lan, congratulations on winning first place in this Torch Raising Ceremony.”

The Great Elder smiled kindly, even using the Banlan Tribe’s respectful address.

”Thank you, Great Elder. It is because of the Great Elder’s good teaching.”

Shi Li lowered his eyes submissively.

It goes without saying that someone was about to give him a reward, so what’s wrong with a compliment?

The Great Elder was slightly stunned. Could it be that this young genius from Blue Star once had some connection with him?

He couldn’t remember.

If he couldn’t remember, then so be it. He began to announce the rewards.

”First, you will receive a reward of 300,000 cubic coins.”

First place was 300,000, second place 200,000, and third place 100,000.

”Then, you will be able to enter the Royal Palace Treasury and choose any three three-star material cards.”

The value of this reward might not be lower than the prize money.

Three-star material cards vary greatly in price depending on their quality.

The ordinary cheap ones are just over 10,000 cubic coins.

But if they are top-grade, they can be as high as 100,000.

The Banlan Tribe’s Royal Palace Treasury certainly has no shortage of top-grade material cards.

So, just these two rewards combined could be worth up to 600,000.

”Finally, in five days, you will enter the Sacred Fire Hall and qualify for the Sacred Fire baptism.”

However, in reality, this last item was the most important part of the reward.

Receiving the Sacred Fire baptism was not just a simple honor for the Banlan Tribe people.

The Sacred Fire bestows a blessing upon everyone who undergoes the baptism.

Historically, there have been outsiders who entered the top three and qualified for the baptism, and the final blessing was a four-star token card.

Although it wasn’t a unique token card, it wasn’t a three-star upgrading to four-star, but a token card that could directly produce a four-star.

Card players above Platinum 10 who get this item basically have a direct path to Emerald.

After the prize money was distributed, Shi Li felt comfortable.

After all, he had spent a lot of cubic coins to refresh the simulation mission of Mountain and Cloud.

Now, with 300,000, his assets reached nearly 400,000.

Comfortable.

Then, following the footsteps of the three elders, they arrived at the Royal Palace Treasury.

Regarding the scale of this treasury, Shi Li could only say that the Yu Clan’s sacred treasury was like a younger brother in front of it.

Finally, at the suggestion of the Great Elder, he selected three material cards corresponding to Red Blade Maiden, cloud river, and Flower Cudgel Leader, respectively.

The quality of each card was good, conservatively estimated to be worth over 300,000 combined.

After receiving the first two rewards, Shi Li’s next task was to wait.

Waiting five days to enter the Sacred Fire Hall and receive the baptism.

Taking advantage of having money and material cards, he devoted his time to card making.

After five days, just as his funds were almost depleted, he successfully converted the three material cards into tangible entries.

First, the new entry for Red Blade Maiden was definitely a significant improvement.

Red Blade Maiden

Berserk, 40 points, three-star attack 40, 100/100

Tenacity - Characteristic: Red Blade Maiden has the effect of Overlord Body. Unceasing - Passive: Red Blade Maiden gains 10 points of Healing each round (T1).

Vitality - Passive: Red Blade Maiden gains 10 points of Healing each round (T5).

Abundant - Passive: Red Blade Maiden’s maximum health + 50.

Crimson Blaze - 40 Health Points: Red Blade Maiden attacks one target, dealing Fixed Damage equal to 20% of the target’s maximum health (T4).

Vast - 20 Health Points: Red Blade Maiden attacks one target, dealing True Damage equal to 20% of her own maximum health (T4).

(Overlord Body: Immune to all control.)

Previously, Red Blade Maiden had a small problem.

That was, Unceasing took effect in T1, but the skill’s energy cost occurred in T4.

This caused her to lose 10 points of Healing in the round she was revealed.

Vitality, taking effect in T5, could perfectly fill this gap.

Additionally, carrying both entries together would be the strongest.

Recovering 20 health points in one round could directly make Vast a no-cost skill.

As for cloud river, it gained a survival entry.

Static Armor - Passive: When cloud river is Still, damage taken from attacks - 10.

In some special situations, this allows it to have damage-absorbing capabilities while Charge.

Finally, Flower Cudgel Leader gained a damage-increasing entry.

Crushing - Passive: When Flower Cudgel Leader attacks a target with a lower score than itself, attack power + 10.

This entry was originally a relatively common Momentum-type entry.

But as an unconventional Unique Character Card, it was not easy to give it such an entry.

Even with top-grade material cards, it cost Shi Li a lot of refresh fees.

It should be noted that entries like ”When XXX, attack power + XX,” ”When XXX, health + XXX,” ”Damage taken - XX” also follow the principle of non-stacking and highest value priority.

However, the bonuses from Characteristics and entries can stack.

Therefore, in terms of rules, ”Awaiting Blossom” and ”Crushing” have a conflict.

However, Shi Li created the latter more for sustained output.

The burst period of Crushing is short; if not for a quick attack, as long as the number of rounds increases, the benefit of Crushing will be higher.

It is a choice between two different tactics for different card game needs.

Having completed the creation of the new entries, Shi Li read a book for a while and then went to bed to rest.

Next, he had to wait for tomorrow to enter the Sacred Fire Hall and receive the Sacred Fire baptism.

At the same time, in the Show Card Hall Research Base in Hua Du City.

Xiu Qinghe looked at the two documents on her desk, her brows furrowed into a frown.

The Abyssal Kind imprisoned in the laboratory had actually escaped.

And it escaped silently, without anyone noticing.

One must know that it was the only rare example of an Abyssal Kind that survived after the war, making it highly valuable for research.

But compared to another matter, the escape of the Abyssal Kind seemed insignificant.

“At 0:00 AM yesterday, a total of 100 Abyssal entrances suddenly descended without warning. Among them, our Xia Country had 12.”

To be honest, Xiu Qinghe had anticipated this.

The descent of the Abyss was a consensus reached by all major forces on Blue Star that had encountered the Abyss.

However, the timing of such a large-scale descent Still caught everyone by surprise.

And through special intelligence channels, she learned that this situation was not only happening on Blue Star.

All civilizations that had discovered traces of the Abyss experienced similar situations.

Even one world that had experienced large-scale Abyssal descents earlier had already seen individual cases of Abyssal Kind invasion.

For Blue Star, the good news amidst the bad was that the Abyssal entrances here currently showed no signs of further expansion.

No Abyssal Kind had emerged from them either.

“It really feels like some people say, this is like a test sent down by a higher-dimensional world to various Card Player civilizations.”

Looking at the initial exploration report of the Abyss, Xiu Qinghe murmured to herself.

Having developed to this point, it was no longer a situation she could make decisions on her own.

“Twelve Abyssal entrances, with three in each of the four major regions: Southeast, Northwest.

One of them is in Jiangnan Province, Durian City.”

The distribution of the Abyssal entrances reminded her of Shi Li.

“Perhaps I can let that kid give it a try.”

So she opened the internal system to check the list of personnel for the first deployment.

As it turned out, without her even needing to do anything, Shi Li’s name was already prominently listed.

Early the next morning, Shi Li’s door was knocked upon.

He was dressed in the traditional attire of the Banlan Tribe, of the highest possible standard.

Then he was taken to the Sacred Fire Hall, located on the central mountain peak of Blueberry City.

Huo Guang, Principal Su, and Chang Zhun had expressed their desire to attend the ceremony the day before, but were told that due to their status as outsiders, it was inconvenient, and they could only wait at the royal palace halfway up the mountain.

“If anything unusual happens, just crush this card, and I’ll be there immediately.”

Before leaving, Principal Su handed Shi Li a communication tool card.

After all, entering the sacred land of another tribe, it was better to be careful.

So Shi Li followed the procession, and after a series of strange rituals, arrived at the mountain peak.

What greeted his eyes was a rather magnificent and huge stone hall.

The main gate of the stone hall was open, but it was blocked by a colored Barrier.

The person in charge of the three previous stages stood before the Barrier, awaiting the three of them.

“The Sacred Fire Hall is a sacred temple, and no one is allowed to enter on normal days.

Today, an exception will be made for the three of you.”

The person in charge introduced them: “Next, I will Still lead you. Once inside, every action must follow my instructions.

Do not be presumptuous.”

After speaking, he looked at the three elders.

The three elders said nothing more, but each took out one-third of a damaged tool card and put them together.

The completed key card vibrated slightly, and soon resonated with the Barrier.

Finally, an opening just large enough for one person to enter by bowing their head was created.

“Those who enter the Sacred Hall must bow their heads to show sincerity.”

The person in charge demonstrated first, bowing his head and stepping through the opening.

The three then followed suit. After they entered, the key card automatically separated into three parts again, which were then collected by the three elders.

Upon entering the main hall, there was a mural screen.

It depicted some origin myths and legends of the Banlan Tribe related to the Sacred Fire.

A Ya Jun and A Luya had grown up immersed in these stories,

while Shi Li, as an outsider, was not particularly interested.

So, their steps and gazes did not linger for too long.

Bypassing the screen and continuing forward, more murals appeared along the way.

Whether they wanted to listen or not, the person in charge began to introduce them ceremonially.

Shi Li was so sleepy listening that he just wanted it all to end quickly.

After nearly an hour of this, he finally, with great difficulty, saw the Sacred Fire.

In an inner hall, the Sacred Fire burned quietly on an altar.

The pure blue flame gave him the illusion of smelling gas.

Just as Shi Li thought they could finally get to the main point, the person in charge led them into a side hall.

Inside the side hall was a crystal ball suspended above the ground, with several energy-textured lines connected to its surface, buried within the walls.

He didn’t know what it was for, only that the color of the energy was identical to the color of the Barrier outside.

“Go.”

The person in charge threw a card towards the crystal ball. *Crack!*

The crystal ball then vibrated violently, and several obvious cracks appeared.

And the connecting energy lines also weakened immediately.

It looked like they were about to extinguish at any moment.

“Next, we just need to wait 20 minutes.”

There was a hint of excitement on the person in charge’s face.

Shi Li originally thought this was another special ritual, but out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of something familiar and black.

A black energy flashed past the tag above A Luya’s head.

Then she changed from Platinum 7 to Platinum 8.

What’s going on?

Just then, the person in charge’s tone unexpectedly turned cold.

“Deal with this outsider, lest he cause trouble.”

“Yes!”

A Luya sent a light beam towards Shi Li.

However, before it could reach Shi Li, it was intercepted by a light beam coming from the other side.

The one who struck was A Ya Jun.

“A Ya Jun, what are you doing?!”

A Luya’s eyes widened.

“You want to betray Blacklight?”

The person in charge reacted, staring at him and saying each word slowly.

“Fel Energy is Fel Energy, don’t try to glorify yourselves.”

A Ya Jun’s eyes were clear.

He pulled out a card and disdainfully threw it on the ground.

The chaotic pattern in the card twisted incessantly, as if stained black with ink.

His previous Fel Energy state was disguised using this card.

“If I didn’t pretend to join, how could I expose you all?”

“You!”

Listening to their conversation from the side, Shi Li vaguely understood the current situation.

It seemed the Blacklight Society wanted to cause trouble, and A Ya Jun was an undercover agent.

Not to mention, the way that guy threw the card just now was quite cool.

“Shi Li, I’ll leave this guy to you.”

“?”

“After all, I’m just the runner-up, and you’re the champion with even greater strength.”

...”

Shi Li immediately retracted his comment.

Weren’t you quite impressive just now? You’re giving up so quickly.

“I’m fighting a Platinum 9?”

Platinum 9 was three ranks higher than him, which was exactly the critical line where Pulse Suppression would not be effective.

So his first reaction was, of course, to crush the communication card given by the principal.

The card transformed into a ray of light and immediately flew away.

However, what he didn’t know was that no matter how fast the light was, it was useless, because it would be blocked by the Barrier of the main gate.

In the next 10 minutes, he would have to face this Platinum 9 enemy alone, no matter what.

“Hehehehe—overestimating yourself.”

Black mist swirled in the person in charge’s eyes, and with a sneer, he walked towards Shi Li step by step.

What if a mere Platinum 6 could defeat A Ya Jun, a Platinum 8?

He was a Platinum 9, and a Platinum 9 who had received the Blacklight’s blessing.

He was definitely not someone a Platinum 6 could challenge.

Whoosh!

Giving Shi Li no room to dodge, the person in charge sent a light beam over.

Buzz—

Since things had come to this, Shi Li had no choice but to fight.

So both sides laid out their decks.

When the reveal phase arrived, Shi Li was the first to reveal his deck.

Bouncing Guard + bo shan.

But unlike before, cloud river did not reveal itself along with them this time.

Bouncing Guard carried Stasis + Delayed Stasis + Big Jump.

bo shan carried Shield + Damage Reduction + Defense.

“Heh.”

Seeing this hand, the person in charge couldn’t help but chuckle.

“You don’t seriously think a deck like this can contend with me, do you?”

He had seen Shi Li’s card plays too many times.

He had been present at every duel of the Torch Raising Ceremony.

So, in his eyes, Shi Li’s current deck held no secrets whatsoever.

“I will let you witness the power of a Blacklight Card Player.”

Saying this, the person in charge flicked his fingers repeatedly.

Three first-row cards were successively revealed.

“Roar!” “Howl!” “Caw!”

Three card projections, contaminated by Blacklight, appeared before Shi Li’s eyes.
