The Return Of The God Level Assassin

Chapter 1211: TEAM CELESTIALS ON THEIR WAY

AT B Cityʼs airport...

The five main members of Team Yunyue settled into their first-class seats aboard the flight to S City. Theyʼd been seated close together, and given the short two-hour domestic flight, the first-class cabin remained nearly empty - just their team and a handful of other passengers scattered throughout the section.

After dinner, they headed straight to the airport. Though the finals werenʼt until tomorrow, theyʼd all agreed to fly to S City tonight. The flight itself was only two hours, but unexpected problems could always arise. So, itʼs better to arrive early and have time to adjust if needed.

Qiu Ming, the youngest member of team Celestials, pulled off his hoodie, revealing tousled black hair. He tugged his headphones down to rest around his neck, the movement causing his overgrown fringe to fall across his eyes—partially obscuring the faint dark circles beneath them. His pale skin showed just how rarely he spent time outside.

”Why do we have to travel this far just for one match?” he grumbled.

Song Liuli turned her head slowly to stare at him, her expression flat. After a deliberate beat, she rolled her eyes.

”Xiao Ming,” she said, her voice laced with exhausted patience, ”itʼs the finals. Two hours is nothing. You spend longer than that sitting in B Cityʼs disgusting traffic just to get to your university.”

Qiu Ming folded his arms, his bottom lip jutting out slightly. ”Itʼs not *that* long,” he muttered. ”Sister Liuliʼs being dramatic again.”

The corner of Song Liuliʼs eye twitched. ”You brat--!”

”Now, now, letʼs not fight,” Li Xu Min said in an appeasing tone to prevent the two from fighting.

Zhong Hui tugged Li Xu Minʼs sleeve. ”Donʼt bother, Ah Min. Theyʼll stop on their own—itʼs not like weʼre babysitting actual kids.”

His sharp glance at Song Liuli and Qiu Ming carried a clear message: ʼKeep squabbling and youʼll prove me right.ʼ The pair immediately fell silent.

This made Duan Yu laugh a little. ”Ah Hui, donʼt be too harsh on them. Liliʼs still tired from the earlier match. And Xiao Ming is... well, heʼs probably just sleepy.”

Song Liuli turned to Duan Yu and fake-sobbed dramatically. ”Only Ah Yu treats me well.”

Qiu Ming gagged. ”Please stop. Iʼd like to keep my dinner down.”

Li Xu Min chuckled as he watched them. He was glad everyone was so energetic. Then he remembered something, and his expression suddenly turned worried. ”Guys... are you really okay with me facing YUN alone tomorrow?”

Earlier, when they were strategizing for tomorrowʼs final match, he had asked if he could fight against YUN one-on-one if the situation allowed it. This was something heʼd wanted since he first started playing Arcadia. YUN was the reason heʼd even chosen ʼSwordsmanʼ as his in-game class. But after the first Arcadia Cup, YUN had rarely been active in the game. Of course, the other player was probably still grinding and clearing dungeons privately. But since he wasnʼt doing it openly, it just felt like heʼd become less active.

Thatʼs why Li Xu Min couldnʼt challenge him to a PvP fight without making it public. Even if he messaged YUN privately, he knew heʼd be ignored—heʼd tried before, and thatʼs exactly what had happened. The only way to issue a challenge was to do it publicly, but Li Xu Min didnʼt want that. He wasnʼt trying to prove he was better than YUN to everyone else. He just wanted to test his own skills against him.

But tomorrow, the match heʼd been waiting for might finally happen. He felt both excited and anxious at the same time.

”Donʼt worry, Ah Min. Weʼll make sure you get your chance to fight YUN,” Zhong Hui said, his gaze full of gentleness as he looked at Li Xu Min.

”You can have your shot at that guy—I donʼt mind at all,” Song Liuli said.

”Now Sister Liuli and I finally agree on something,” Qiu Ming remarked.

”As long as we stick to the plan, there shouldnʼt be any problem letting you fight YUN alone,” Duan Yu added.

Li Xu Min glanced at each of his teammates, a quiet appreciation showing in his expression. ”Thank you.”

After a while, Qiu Ming asked, ”But why do you think they suddenly moved the finals to S City? Itʼs always been in B City, right?”

Duan Yu shrugged. ”This whole finals have been full of changes. Moving the venue isnʼt even surprising anymore.”

But if Duan Yu had known the real reason the venue was moved to S City—because a certain young man had asked his uncle to arrange it so his boyfriend wouldnʼt need to travel to B City—he would have been more than surprised.

That night, as always after an Arcadia Cup match, Weibo and the official game forum buzzed with discussions. Most users analyzed the semi-final matches, while others shared their excitement for tomorrowʼs finals.

[What did you think of the semi-finals?]

- Definitely not what I expected.

└ Right? Never thought it would be literal RPG.

└└ True! Which match did you prefer?

└└└ Not big on Western themes, so the Orient Express one didnʼt click for me. Preferred the Wuxia battle between Celestials and Mozu.

- Too much dialogue for my taste.

└ Fair, but the gender-swapped acting was hilarious.

└└ Michael and Noctis nailed their roles.

└└└ How could anyone forget Young Master Jinʼs performance?

[Whoʼs excited for tomorrowʼs finals?]

- Me! Me! Me!

- I wish tomorrow would hurry up.

- I canʼt wait to see Team Yunyue in person. Iʼll be lining up at Dragon Dome first thing - perks of living in S City.

└ Lucky bastard. Iʼm stuck too far from S City. TT__TT

└ I wonder what Team Yunyueʼs members really look like. Since I canʼt go, Iʼll settle for the livestream.

└└ You think Noctisʼ real face matches his avatar?

└└└ Honestly, I think it would,

└└└ No way. He definitely tweaked his avatarʼs looks.

- Tomorrow weʼll finally see whoʼs the better swordsman: YUN or Michael.

└ Is that even a question? Xu Min obviously.

└└ LOL keep dreaming. Did you forget who holds the #1 Swordsman rank?

[Who do you think will win? Yunyue or Celestials?]
