Tyrant Sky Martial Soul

Chapter 868: Chapter 868 Divine Phoenix Continent

After lengthy discussions, the high echelons of the Moon Hua Sect concluded that having the Sect dispersed was detrimental to its development. Hence, they planned to consolidate the Moon Hua Sect, Divine Sword Sect, Spiritual Medicine Manor, Beast King Palace, and the Royal Family of the Northern Han Kingdom into establishing the ”Chosen Academy.”

Everyone understood that the Chosen Academy was being established because of the presence of Ling Xiao, the Chosen Son of Heaven.

Moreover, with Wu Xiang, the Moon Lady, the newly appointed Crown Prince of the Northern Han Kingdom, Daniel, and the Sect Leader of the Divine Sword Sect, Ling Wuheng, among others, they all agreed to elect Ling Xiao as the master of Chosen Academy.

However, Ling Xiao refused.

Although he needed such a force as a backing, pursuing the limits of Martial Arts was his true pursuit.

Therefore, he only accepted a nominal position as Elder and proposed Wu Xiang as the Dean of the Chosen Academy.

This was essentially his force.

Despite some dissatisfaction in the Northern Han Kingdom, it was futile; the current Northern Han Kingdom could only exist under the protection of the Chosen Academy, and it was fortunate that the Chosen Academy did not directly overthrow the rule of the Northern Han Kingdom’s Royal Family.

Additionally, the Sacred Emperor ultimately did not survive and succumbed to his severe injuries; before dying, he passed on his position to Holy Son Victoria Mingkong.

No one opposed this, as the present Sacred Emperor was merely a figurehead no one cared about anymore.

The title of Chosen Son of Heaven was, after all, more prestigious than that of the Sacred Emperor.

The scene where he, at the Martial Arts Festival, drove away numerous Sea Warriors with a single stroke of his sword was truly astonishing.

Victoria Mingkong also chose to join the Chosen Academy; she was a smart person who no longer meddled in power, focused solely on cultivating Martial Arts, and was determined to avenge her father by killing Si Kong Zun.

Ji Mingfeng became a general of the Northern Han Kingdom and continued to be in charge of guarding the border, a task he was already accustomed to; staying in the Imperial City would have been less enjoyable for him.

The Grand Holy Emperor chose to retreat for healing and no longer involved himself in political matters, likely severely injured; it would be a long time before he could emerge from retreat.

The Moon Lady cared even less for these idle affairs and continued to live a carefree life within her Moon Palace.

As time went on, battles continued across the Heavenly Dragon Continent.

The True Demon Empire was on a path of conquering cities and capturing strongholds, having fully occupied all territories on the Heavenly Dragon Continent except for the Heavenly Principle Country and the Northern Han Kingdom.

Their momentum was not inferior to that of the past.

However, overall, they were not as strong as before, especially since there was no True Demon Emperor now, and among the current Nine Great Demon Kings, only the Yin-Yang Demon King and Lightning Demon King had revealed themselves, and their cultivation levels were far from those of the past.

Thus, at this time, they halted further attacks and announced a peaceful coexistence with the Heavenly Principle Country and the Northern Han Kingdom, sharing the Heavenly Dragon Continent.

These statements were eloquently put, but many knew it was because the Yin-Yang Demon King and Lightning Demon King were injured, and the True Demon Empire lacked the overall strength to conquer the Northern Han Kingdom and Heavenly Principle Country, leading to the ceasefire.

Given that the Moon Lady was now with the Northern Han Kingdom, not even the combined forces of the Yin-Yang Demon King and Lightning Demon King could likely rival her.

So, they were temporarily ceasing hostilities, probably intending to quickly revive the rest of the Demon Kings, and perhaps even the True Demon Emperor.

At this moment, Ling Xiao felt it was time to leave, as he must seize this rare opportunity to enhance his power!

The Northern Han Kingdom was too small a place for him, and the paths of Martial Arts cultivation he, the Moon Lady, and the Grand Holy Emperor pursued were not alike. His Master, Charles Yuanzun Dao, could guide him, but under the blockade of the True Demon Empire and Heavenly Principle Country, resources were scarce.

Staying here would completely block his path in Martial Arts; even if he could recover his cultivation level, he feared he would never improve further.

On the Heavenly Dragon Continent, basically all Martial Artists with cultivation levels above Heavenly Man Realm had been to the Divine Phoenix Continent, with some venturing even further.

So he wanted to go to the Divine Phoenix Continent, to seek opportunities to enhance his cultivation level on that stronger continent.

This was also what a Chosen Son of Heaven should do, so his proposal was not inappropriate.

His idea was approved by the Moon Lady and others.

However, Victoria Mingkong, Ying Wu Ya, Lan Yu’er, Leng Hao, Joshua Long, Dai Yuling, Dai Yaoling, Daniel and Elizabeth Zhao also wished to go to the Divine Phoenix Continent for experience.

Only when the younger generation grows up could the Chosen Academy become even stronger in the future.

”This plan is good, and on the Divine Phoenix Continent, any sect is much stronger than the Twelve Sects. If we could make some alliances there, it would also be helpful when we counterattack the True Demon Empire in the future!”

Wu Xiang thought for a moment.

Then, he took out a nautical chart and a map of the Divine Phoenix Continent and gave them to Ling Xiao, continuing, ”You are the person in charge of this trip to the Divine Phoenix Continent. Take good care of these two maps; they are extremely precious, treasures of the Sacred Dynasty, and irreplaceable if lost.”

Ling Xiao received the maps and immediately chose to make copies.

The Divine Phoenix Continent was much larger than the Heavenly Dragon Continent, and its laws were more complete, so the overall strength of martial artists there was considerably greater than on the Heavenly Dragon Continent.

Of course, there were weaker individuals, as on every continent, not everyone was suited for martial arts, nor was every race born as martial artists.

The main inhabitants of the Divine Phoenix Continent were from the Fire Phoenix Clan, along with the Peng Clan, Peacock Clan, and others.

They were not human, so they did not cultivate Martial Souls; instead, they primarily focused on awakening their bloodlines, but their cultivation methods and combat styles were not much different from humans.

”Making alliances is just a wish of mine. If it’s not possible, don’t force it. The main purpose for you few going to the Divine Phoenix Continent is to cultivate and enhance your strength! If possible, establishing a smuggling channel to provide the Northern Han Kingdom with cultivation resources would also be excellent.”

Wu Xiang added.

”Senior Brother Wu, I understand. I will strive to establish this smuggling channel.”

Ling Xiao knew this was critical; otherwise, over long-term isolation, the Martial Artists of the Northern Han Kingdom would fall increasingly behind those of the True Demon Empire and the Heavenly Principle Country.

Although the Heavenly Principle Country had already declared war on the True Demon Empire, anyone with a clear mind could see that the Heavenly Principle Country was but a power supported by the Sea Race, just like the Jade Water Divine Palace, critical at key moments.

”Master, you have been to the Divine Phoenix Continent. Please give me some guidance on which sect or which country would be most appropriate to go to?”

Ling Xiao asked Charles Yuanzun Dao.

”Well, it has been too long since I visited the Divine Phoenix Continent. Anything I could say would probably not align with the current situation there,” replied Charles Yuanzun Dao.

”Ling junior brother, take this.”

Wu Xiang took out a three-inch-long jade flying dagger from his Storage Ring which contained a special Divine Rune Formation and was of Immortal-grade Treasure quality.

Of course, even if it was an Immortal-grade Treasure, its level was not considered very high, but this object likely held special significance.

The handle of the flying dagger was engraved with the character ”Phoenix.”

When taking out this item, Wu Xiang’s expression was somewhat strange, seemingly sad, yet also like that of regret and helplessness.

Of course, that expression was fleeting.
