Chapter 595: Chapter 595: Expelled from the Sect?_1

”Hmph!”

Yue Ren, ranked third among core disciples, also snorted coldly. He found the result somewhat unacceptable.

If the first place had gone to Ming Tian, Leng Hao, or even Tantai Lingzi or Bai Feifei, he could have accepted it.

After all, Ming Tian and Leng Hao were geniuses of their generation.

Tantai Lingzi and Bai Feifei both had formidable strength.

But what was Ling Xiao? On what grounds did he deserve such good fortune?

On the surface, Yue Ren always appeared amiable, but he was exceedingly narrow-minded and arrogantly proud, bullying the weak and fearing the strong.

If Ling Xiao were to take the first place, wouldn’t it be like a beggar becoming the top scholar? How could he accept that?

”What exactly happened? Give me more details!”

Chang Yueying’s expression turned somewhat frosty.

Obviously, having just accepted Tantai Lingzi as her disciple, the last thing she wanted was to be shown up by Ling Xiao.

She had not taken Ling Xiao as her disciple before precisely because she thought his aptitude was poor. If Ling Xiao now outclassed everyone else and secured the first place in the Pagoda Climbing Ceremony, how could she accept it?

Tantai Lingzi nodded her head and then began to fabricate a story she thought was flawless.

In her story, the one colluding with the Black Spirit Organization was no longer her but Ling Xiao.

”What? Ling Xiao colluded with the Black Spirit Organization? No wonder he could achieve such great results! So this scoundrel was so treacherously disloyal!”

Regarding the affairs of the Black Spirits, only the Supreme Head Teacher, the current Sect Leader, and the Head of the Enforcement Hall had some knowledge within the sect.

Upon hearing this, all three were in violent anger.

”Continue!”

Chang Yueying said with a dark face.

”Not only that,” Tantai Lingzi continued, ”Ling Xiao colluded with the Black Spirit Organization and claimed that they could actually kill disciples inside the Moon Blossom Pagoda instead of just eliminating them!”

”They seem to have used some kind of secret scroll. The disciples, seeing the gravity of the situation, had no choice but to commit suicide in resentment and eliminate themselves. If it weren’t for them, the disciples could have gained much more!”

This woman was blatantly usurping a role, pinning her own malevolent deeds onto Ling Xiao, an act of utter shamelessness.

But her acting skills were truly remarkable. As she spoke, she cried, winning the sympathy of most people in the sect.

Even the Golden Light Heavenly Lord and Guanghan Celestial Venerate remained silent.

They also felt that if Ling Xiao really did such a thing, they would not protect him either.

”Scoundrel! Yang Dan Lin, this is the kind of good disciple you’ve trained! Not only has he betrayed his fellow disciples, but he’s also colluded with the Black Spirits who almost led to the destruction of the Mysterious World. This is an unforgivable major crime!”

Elder Jin couldn’t contain his fury as he bellowed at Yang Dan Lin.

”Expel him from the sect!”

Demonflame Celestial said coldly, ”I implore the Sect Leader to issue an order now to expel Ling Xiao from the sect!”

”Expel from the sect!”

”Expel from the sect!”

The majority of the disciples watching began chanting along.

It seemed as if Ling Xiao had indeed committed these heinous crimes, and they weren’t even willing to give him a chance to explain.

Demonflame Celestial had thought it through well. If Ling Xiao was expelled from the sect, he would no longer be a disciple of the Moon Hua Sect. Then, he could deal with Ling Xiao however he pleased.

The boy had managed to grow to this point because he had underestimated him earlier; this time, he couldn’t let him slip away again.

”Silence everyone!”

In her heart, Chang Yueying was also considering that the disciple she accepted must be the best, but if Ling Xiao and Dai Yuling were still alive, it definitely wouldn’t do.

So expelling Ling Xiao from the sect now might not be such a bad idea.

Moreover, upon careful consideration, Ling Xiao was indeed guilty of numerous evil deeds.

During the first challenge, quite a number of people were eliminated by him.

After that, he went on to trap and deceive Ming Tian, Bai Feifei, Wu Yang, Qin Wu, Tantai Lingzi, and a whole host of others.

If not for Ling Xiao, maybe these people could have had better results, how could they have been eliminated so easily?

With such a grave mistake committed by this individual, even if I were to expel him from the Sect, it would be absolutely justified, and not even the Moon Lady would be able to obstruct that, right?

Thinking this, Chang Yueying slowly began to speak, ”Our Moon Hua Sect is one of the Twelve Sects of the Human Sacred Dynasty. Although we have never boasted of being a prestigious orthodox Sect, we have always acted uprightly and openly, with a clear conscience. Never did I imagine that today, such a detestable traitor would appear within us!”

”Heh, Sect Leader, you have indeed spoken correctly. Ling Xiao must have been sent by other Sects to infiltrate our Moon Hua Sect to cause disruption on purpose. Keeping him will only bring infamy to our Sect,”

Supreme Head Teacher Chang Yueli said with a nod and a smile.

”And that Dai Yuling, Shangguan Lei, actually colluded with Ling Xiao, their crimes are monstrous! As the saying goes, birds of a feather flock together. All these people must be expelled from the Sect. Of course, their cultivation levels must first be destroyed to prevent them from causing harm to the world after they leave!”

Demonflame Celestial snorted.

”Sect Leader, just give the order. Today, even Yang Dan Lin won’t have anything to say about it. The kid’s collusion with the Black Spirit Organization alone is a capital offense!”

Elder Jin also said loudly.

”Indeed, a capital offense!”

”A capital offense!”

Therefore, a person who does not provoke jealousy is mediocre at best!

Ling Xiao’s performance was too eye-catching, too radiant.

As an Outer Sect Disciple, to perform even better than all the Inner Sect Disciples, what would those Inner Sect Disciples think?

At this moment, naturally, most of them would kick someone already down.

”Hahahaha, after so many years, I never expected the high-ranking members of the Moon Hua Sect to still be so shameless and impudent!”

Suddenly, a loud laugh came from afar.

Immediately afterward, a black shadow descended from the sky.

This person was dressed in black, with an extremely fearsome level of cultivation.

”A warrior of the Cave Heaven Realm!”

Supreme Head Teacher Chang Yueli abruptly stood up, looking very tense, ”Who are you, and for what purpose have you come to the Moon Hua Sect?”

”Supreme Head Teacher, your memory isn’t that great, huh? We are old acquaintances, how come you don’t recognize me now?” the person in black sneered.

”Wu Xiang!”

”My God, isn’t that Wu Xiang, the Outer Sect Disciple? Wasn’t he the worst one of all, and lived in the same place as Ling Xiao? How did he become so powerful!”

Finally, someone from the Outer Sect recognized the newcomer.

Yes, this was Wu Xiang who had faked his death in the past and now had fully recovered his cultivation level, finally returning.

”It’s actually you!”

Upon hearing Wu Xiang’s name, Supreme Head Teacher’s face turned very ugly.

She remembered an incident from the past.

Many years ago, the Moon Hua Sect had a young prodigy who shined exceptionally bright. His name was Wu Xiang.

In just two years, he went from the Transcendent Realm to the Cave Heaven Realm, and was considered the greatest hope of the Moon Hua Sect.

At that time, Chang Yueli as the Sect Leader also had a true disciple, a male of about the same age as Wu Xiang.

This true disciple used to be much more formidable than Wu Xiang, and was also seen as the hope of the Moon Hua Sect, but because Wu Xiang surpassed him, he’d since deteriorated, even causing trouble for Wu Xiang several times.

Finally, during one such incident, Wu Xiang was disturbed by this individual which led his cultivation to deviate and, in a fit of violent anger, killed the man.

As a result, the higher-ups of the Moon Hua Sect, without investigating the truth, stripped Wu Xiang of his cultivation level and threw him into the Outer Sect.
