Tyrant Sky Martial Soul

Chapter 544: Chapter 544: Extinction Plan_1

”General Blackwheel, when exactly are we going to make our move?” one man asked, his face marked by a conspicuous scar illuminated by the campfire, giving him a particularly ferocious appearance.

As he wiped the steel knife in his hands, he lowered his voice and inquired.

An icy and sinister look flashed across General Blackwheel’s eyes as he glanced at an elder and a youth nearby. ”That old man’s cultivation level is of the Transcendent Realm Seventh Level. Even if we joined forces, we might not be his match. And even if we could defeat him, unexpected complications might arise. If that kid were to escape, it would be an endless source of trouble,” he said in a cold voice.

”Damn it, in the Primordial Era, our Dragon Clan was the ruler of the Mysterious World. At that time, our strength was immense. Now, the most powerful among us only possess Half-step Celestial-Level cultivation, and can’t even make it out of the Moon Blossom Pagoda. Sigh, so, General, what do you suggest we do?” Scarface said, frustrated.

He believed that the Moon Blossom Fairy was responsible for their current situation.

However, he didn’t know that if they, like humans, stayed outside, they might already have been exterminated by now.

After all, when the True Demon Empire rose, the dragon species that remained outside were almost completely slaughtered, turned into Martial Souls.

”No need to rush,” General Blackwheel said with a cold laugh. ”I’ve already contacted the Black Dragon King. He will send someone to back us up. As long as we make our move before we reach Sky Dragon Mountain, success is guaranteed.”

”You’re truly wise, General. But I never expected that after all those assassinations and poisonings, we still couldn’t exterminate the entire Golden Dragon Clan. And now, this Dragon Son has popped up, giving even the Black Dragon King a fright,” Scarface remarked.

”There are too many hidden places within the Moon Blossom Pagoda. This youngster probably found a place to hide, which is why we never found him. We can only say he’s been lucky,” General Blackwheel commented indifferently.

”Huh, lucky? That may be, but if the kid had just hidden well, perhaps he could’ve lived out his life in peace. As for now, the Golden Dragon Clan will soon be completely extinct!” Scarface said with a vicious smile, showing no pity for the slaughter of his own kind.

...

The aura of the Dragon Clan!

After passing through that ball of light, Ling Xiao found himself in a dense jungle.

The moment he arrived, he could feel the intense aura that belonged to the Dragon Clan.

The Ancient Golden Dragon within his Mountain and River Martial Soul was so excited that it began to shed tears.

”It’s thought that the third level spans a hundred miles in all directions, but it doesn’t seem to be the case. There appear to be several secret areas connected to unique spatial dimensions here, each of considerable size,” Ling Xiao murmured to himself.

He tried opening the map of this dimension, but unfortunately, even after expanding to a hundred-mile radius, it still wasn’t complete.

This suggested that the space he was currently in was larger than a hundred miles in all directions.

”It’s best to remain cautious!”

Unknown things are always dangerous.

No matter what, Ling Xiao decided to explore this space first. Maybe he would find a clue that leads to the fourth level. And even if he didn’t find a clue, discovering any treasure would definitely be worthwhile.

Of course, caution was crucial throughout this process; one misstep could cost him his life.

His current location was at the edge of the dense forest.

Beyond the jungle lay an endless prairie, but the grass here was extraordinarily tall—the shortest strands were two to three meters high, hardly distinguishable from trees.

If it weren’t for the map in his Mountain and River Martial Soul, which allowed Ling Xiao to avoid most dangers, he wouldn’t dare to wander blindly.

”Let’s search around nearby!”

Thinking this, Ling Xiao spread his wings, and the Golden Dragon Wings unfolded behind him, as he began to spiral like a small flying dragon in the sky.

Over the vast grassland, there were several well-trodden paths, likely left by frequent travel.

While being mere dirt roads, they had been trodden hard and firm.

On one of the main roads, a beast-drawn carriage moved at a steady pace.

In front of and behind the carriage, a Dragon Person stood guard, the black scales on their bodies highly conspicuous.

Moreover, the Dragon People had large frames, with an average height of around three meters, the tallest even surpassing ten meters, and the shortest at two meters.

Once they transformed into their dragon forms, they would become even more enormous, definitely not inferior to any giant beast from the Primordial Era.

Suddenly, the beast carriage came to a halt.

”What’s happened, General Blackwheel?”

An elderly man jumped out from the carriage.

A young man also lifted the window to survey the situation.

”Elder Lin, as you know, the Black Spirits’ activities have been growing increasingly rampant. With the dense forest ahead, I fear there might be danger. It’s better to be cautious.”

General Blackwheel concealed the murderous intent in his eyes and said with a fake smile.

”Then, what does the general suggest?”

Elder Lin asked.

”Elder Lin and Young Master Huangjin Long, please stay here for now. I will scout ahead for any potential dangers. If it’s safe, we can proceed; there’s no hurry.”

General Blackwheel responded.

”Very well then.”

Elder Lin nodded in agreement.

General Blackwheel gave Scarface a knowing look, then leaped forward, quickly vanishing into the brush.

Elder Lin, with a heavy heart, glanced in the direction General Blackwheel had disappeared, then hopped back onto the carriage and transmitted his voice to the young man inside, ”Young Master, things don’t look good. I suspect the Black Dragon People will make their move shortly. I will try to hold them off while you take the chance to escape. Run as far as you can and never come back.”

”But Grandpa Lin, what about you?”

The Dragon Clan youth exclaimed in shock.

”I have long sworn to protect you to the death, Young Master. Now, my life can serve its purpose. Hurry, go!”

Elder Lin suddenly shouted with intensity.

Because he sensed two powerful presences approaching fast, both at the Transcendent Realm Eighth Level Cultivation, definitely beyond his ability to contend with.

”You old fogey, what are you trying to do?”

Upon hearing the shout, Scarface charged over.

”Scram!”

In his anger, Elder Lin lashed out with a palm strike, repelling Scarface, then roared at the youth again, ”Run! The Pagoda Climbing Ceremony at Moon Hua Sect must have started. Get out and contact the heir of Moon Hua Sect; there might still be a chance for survival!”

The youth hesitated no longer, leaped down from the carriage, and attempted to flee.

But by then, it was already too late.

A terrifying power enveloped an area of several dozen meters around the carriage. Black flames ignited, the result of Black Dragon Extinguishment.

It was a strong figure from the Black Dragon People.

”Damn it!”

Elder Lin let out an inward sigh of despair, realizing he was too late.

Alas, he should never have allowed the Young Master to come out. If he hadn’t, they wouldn’t have encountered such an incident. The brutality of the Black Dragon Clan should have been anticipated.

He quickly moved to the youth’s side, resolved to sacrifice his old life if necessary to preserve the last of the Golden Dragon Clan’s bloodline.

”Young Master, if there’s even the slightest chance, do not let it go. Just run. That way, this old servant can die in peace.”
