Tyrant Sky Martial Soul

Chapter 127: Chapter 127 Founding the Divine Sword Sect_1

Ling Xiao, whose strength had increased, did not feel excited.

One reason was the matter concerning Ling Yixue, and the other was the comprehension of the ”Snow Lotus Sword Technique”.

These matters could not be accomplished within the confines of the small Tianfeng City.

Therefore, he planned to depart for Baiyun Capital.

There, a large number of Ninja Clan, Green-eyed Clan, Barbarian Clan, and other Outer Clan members could be found, and the city was teeming with experts. Warriors at the Martial Master level probably outnumbered those in Tianfeng City at the Martial Vein Sixth Layer.

That was a broader world indeed!

Only through more brutal trials could one forge a true treasured sword!

He had always believed in a saying—

”The treasured sword’s edge comes from the grindstone, and the plum blossom’s fragrance from the cold.”

When he emerged from the Book Collection Pavilion, he went directly to the makeshift Ling Family council hall, intending to inform Ling Xiaotian about this matter.

Just as he approached the entrance of the council hall, he heard an angry roar coming from inside.

”Damned idiots! These Black Scarf Thieves are outright bandits preying on others’ misfortunes!”

That was the voice of Ling Xiaotian.

”Clan Leader, the Black Scarf Thieves are not to be feared. Their strongest is only at the Martial Vein Sixth Peak, which is why they dare not easily stir trouble in Tianfeng City. But now, with the Shi Clan, Li Clan, and Wang Clan destroyed, and our Ling Family short on manpower, we’ve given these thieves the opportunity to run rampant,” said Supreme Elder Lingyin, fuming with anger.

”Let’s do this, I’ll go to the den of these Black Scarf Thieves tomorrow and exterminate this band of robbers,” he suggested.

”It’s useless,” Ling Xiaotian said with a bitter smile. ”These scoundrels are very cunning. Once they know a Martial Master is coming, they will quickly flee. They are very familiar with the terrain of the mountains, and we simply won’t be able to catch them.”

”But Father, are we to let these Black Scarf Thieves do as they please? The young warriors who come to support the Ling Family will lose heart,” Ling Wuheng spoke up.

”Alas, if high-level Martial Masters go after them, they will run away, and ordinary warriors at the Sixth Layer of Martial Vein aren’t a match for them. It’s truly troublesome,” Ling Xiaotian lamented.

Ling Xiaotian indeed wanted to send more people, but with the Ling Family in ruins and just managing their own territory being difficult enough, it was impossible.

”Clan Leader, how about I take a trip there?” Ling Xiao walked into the council hall and said with a smile, ”I am planning to leave Tianfeng City anyway. Before I go, I’ll consider it doing the Ling Family a favor by eliminating a scourge.”

Ling Xiao had already made up his mind outside the hall.

The Black Scarf Thieves had repeatedly targeted his life and were now intercepting and killing those who sought refuge with the Ling Family. As the number one disciple of the Ling Family, he would be utterly ridiculed if he did not take action.

”You?”

Ling Xiaotian frowned.

”Perhaps you really can do it.”

He recalled how Ling Xiao, with only an Early Sixth Level Martial Vein cultivation, had managed to outsmart a Martial Master. Although luck played a role, he had achieved it nonetheless.

There were no Martial Masters within the Black Scarf Thieves.

Ling Xiao alone was more than enough.

”But did you just say you want to leave Tianfeng City?” asked Ling Xiaotian.

”Yes. During these three days, I have been diligently studying the Transcendent Martial Arts Fragmentary Secret, but have made no progress. Furthermore, there’s the matter of Senior Yi Xue, so I want to see what Baiyun Capital has to offer,” Ling Xiao replied.

”You must understand, the Ninja Clan now sees you as a thorn in their side. If you go to Baiyun Capital, I’m afraid many will want your life. Are you really set on going?”

”Am I, Ling Xiao, the type to covet life and fear death?” Ling Xiao said with a cold laugh. ”If I were to hide in the Ling Family all my life, relying on a sword for protection, that would be truly foolish and ignorant.”

”Good, that’s indeed in your nature, Ling Xiao.”

Ling Xiaotian decisively slapped the armrest of his chair and said, ”Then go, we’ll take good care of your grandfather Hong Qi and your brother Ling Luo. Unless every one of us in the Ling Family is killed, they will absolutely not suffer the slightest harm.”

”Thank you!”

Ling Xiao took a deep breath; leaving Tianfeng City, what worried him the most were his grandfather Hong Qi and his brother Ling Luo.

Although neither his grandfather nor his brother were related by blood, they were closer to him than his own kin!

”Then I will go prepare at once and set out immediately for the Black Scarf Thieves’ lair.”

Ling Xiao bowed his hands, ready to leave.

”Hold on a moment, Ling Xiao.”

Suddenly, Ling Xiaotian called Ling Xiao back and continued, ”I have thought it through. If we continue clinging to the concept of family within the Ling Clan, I fear we may not have much room for development. Thus, after discussing with the three Supreme Elders, we plan to establish the ’Divine Sword Sect,’ and you are to assume the role of Sect Leader.”

”Clan Leader, you should understand my character; I am not the type to wield power. I absolutely support the establishment of the Divine Sword Sect, but the position of Sect Leader should be given to Second Uncle Ling Wuheng, who is more suitable.”

Ling Xiao’s suggestion was not just out of courtesy; he genuinely believed Ling Wuheng was fit for the position.

Ling Wuheng was a Martial Master; his personal strength was unquestionable since, after all, a Sect Leader definitely needed to be strong.

Moreover, through such a long period of interaction, Ling Xiao felt that Ling Wuheng would make a very good Sect Leader, capable of greatly developing the Divine Sword Sect.

”...you see, I told you he wouldn’t cling to this position,” Ling Xiaotian shrugged at the three Supreme Elders and said, ”Then, shall we proceed as previously discussed and grant Ling Xiao the status of Supreme Elder, what do you think?”

”It can’t be helped, we can’t force him, and Wuheng, as Sect Leader, sounds quite appropriate.”

Ling Yin sighed.

Then, he looked at Ling Xiao and asked, ”The position of Supreme Elder, you surely wouldn’t refuse, right? The only responsibility you have in this position is to rush back to aid the Sect in times of life or death, but you are completely free the rest of the time.”

”Alright, I agree,” said Ling Xiao.

Ling Xiao didn’t wish to become Sect Leader of the Divine Sword Sect since he found it troublesome. The position of Supreme Elder wasn’t as burdensome, and it seemed a good fit for him.

Afterwards, he bid them farewell.

As for how the Divine Sword Sect was to be established and arranged, he would no longer concern himself with it. After all, that was not his forte.

Back at his temporarily arranged residence, Ling Xiao met with his grandfather Hong Qi, his brother Ling Luo, and several others including Ling Yixue, Ling Yihang, Ling Shuang, and Ling Zhan. It was a final farewell.

”Who would have thought, just a few months ago you were only a Martial Artist with Martial Vein First Layer, and now you’ve become someone who can trouble a Martial Master. It’s truly sigh-worthy.”

”Yes, Brother Ling Xiao is really amazing.”

”Child, once you arrive at Baiyun Capital, your grandfather won’t be able to take care of you. You must learn to take care of yourself,” said Hong Qi.

”Ling Xiao, I might also go to Baiyun Capital after some time, so you’ll have to look out for me there,” someone added.

Everyone was saying their goodbyes to Ling Xiao.

Only Ling Yixue stood at a distance, with a gaze that seemed elusive and contemplative, as if she was pondering something.

”Senior Yi, I’m leaving now. Aren’t you happy for me?” Ling Xiao asked with a smile.

”Stay safe!” Ling Yixue replied with a somewhat stiff smile, finally uttering a word.

Ling Xiao was about to say more when suddenly, a bloodied person burst in from outside, shouting loudly, ”Quick! Go save them!”

Ling Xiao’s gaze turned cold; with a light step, he was already soaring through the air, disappearing into the distance in an instant.

”Who was that person?” asked the bloodied man.

”Ling Xiao,” Ling Yihang answered.

”Never heard of him. Aren’t you going to help? The Black Scarf Thieves came with dozens of men, among them two are Martial Artists at the Pinnacle of the Martial Vein Sixth Layer. It took me great effort to escape,” he said.
