A Sect from a Spirit Vein

Chapter 502: Chapter 443: Allied Forces

December 7th, the 372nd year of Jia Shen, the Mingyu Sword Sect, Huanggen Sect, and Yunshan Sect signed a treaty, swearing by heaven and earth, inviting ghosts and spirits as witnesses, thus forming an alliance.

The treaty covered military, economic, and diplomatic aspects, focusing on mutual defense and assistance, with members retaining strong independence. Therefore, there was no alliance leader, nor was there a specific name for the alliance.

Later generations named this event the Tieyuan Alliance in historical records.

As soon as the alliance was formed, a strategic objective presented itself to the three parties.

A large map spread out across the entire quiet chamber, highlighting the five counties of Chongming, Sanshan, Xinghu, Liangxiang, and Tieyuan.

Overall, these five counties are located in the northwest corner of Cangzhou, bordering Qingzhou to the north and connecting to Ningzhou to the west.

Standing before this map, Lu Qian felt a surge of excitement and ambition.

”Our Guh Niqiang is about to cross the Golden Core Celestial Tribulation, so Xuanguang Sect’s full assault day is near.” Lu Qian waved his hand, marking the map with spiritual lights.

”The Mingyu Sword Sect can’t easily relocate their main forces to resist foreign enemies, and even Master Cangfeng can’t leave the territory for too long. So my initial plan was to fully defend and repel Xuanguang Sect’s attack.”

”Once Guh Niqiang overcomes the tribulation and achieves the Golden Core, then we will discuss counterattacking.”

Ye Xiao nodded, feeling a bit curious. Only one in ten at Foundation Establishment Perfection can cross the Golden Core Celestial Tribulation, yet Lu Qian was so certain, having such confidence in this Guh Niqiang.

Who exactly is this female cultivator?

”But now that our three parties are allied and united, the situation has changed,” Lu Qian’s voice rose, ”I want to achieve victory in one battle and annihilate Xuanguang in this war!”

”Although Chongming County is not as affluent as Liangxiang County, it is still a peaceful and livable place. Currently, the Xuanguang Sect still controls a thousand miles of fertile land with a population of fifteen million.”

”If we can destroy the Xuanguang Sect, our Yunshan Sect will only take the Spirit Veins of Kongming Mountain, Qingli Mountain, and some mortal territories, as for the remaining lands...”

In saying this, Lu Qian felt a strange feeling.

Facing a strong enemy, who would start dividing the spoils before winning, or even before fighting? Historically, those who did this seemed to always...

Thinking this way, he even had a slight ominous feeling and could only dispel it with a mental spit.

But this alliance was driven by interests, and coupled with Cangfeng’s prior plans for the Xuanguang Sect’s territory, if the benefits were not clarified now, disputes might grow and even affect the battle.

Sure enough, under the temptation of fertile land and rich resources, Ye Xiao focused intently on the map, even his breathing became slightly rapid.

Unfortunately, Master Cangfeng straightforwardly said, ”Fairy Ye, the remaining territories of Xuanguang Sect, including the Five Peaks and Five Veins, shall naturally be taken over by the Mingyu Sword Sect.”

Upon hearing this, Ye Xiao’s face directly darkened, ”What does Fellow Daoist Li mean by this?”

Lu Qian quickly explained, ”Fairy Ye may not know, initially, the Mingyu Sword Sect accepted our Shuangye Alliance as a subordinate, offering protection in exchange for the Spirit Vein of Mingjian Mountain once Xuanguang Sect is defeated in the future.”

He explained the situation, and only then did Ye Xiao understand.

It turned out that this point was the cornerstone of the cooperation between Mingyu Sword Sect and Yunshan Sect, decided long before Ye Xiao joined, making it also the cornerstone of the current three-party alliance. ℯ

Though she was disgruntled at heart, she heard Master Cangfeng laugh and said, ”Rest assured, Fairy Ye, you won’t be contributing without reward. After the success, while the land of Chongming County cannot be given, I will carve out a part from the land bordering Liangxiang County and Tieyuan County to give to the Fairy as thanks.”

”Think about it, even if you wanted the land of Chongming County, it would be an isolated piece for Huanggen Sect. How could it compare to directly receiving a territory transfer from Liangxiang County?”

”The specific extent will depend on the contribution of Huanggen Sect and Fairy Ye, but I can guarantee no less than a five hundred miles radius with a population of three million.”

These words instantly turned Ye Xiao’s expression from cloudy to sunny, as these terms were naturally acceptable for someone who joined later. Furthermore, for Huanggen Sect, obtaining a five hundred miles radius of land in Liangxiang County meant even considering shifting their developmental focus there.

Seeing the two Golden Core Masters reach a consensus, the three of them reviewed their respective combat powers and initially set a battle plan.

The Mingyu Sword Sect, situated in the wealthy and populous Liangxiang County, boasts a substantial population of cultivators enough to be alarming.

The Mingyu Sword Sect itself has sixteen Foundation Establishment cultivators and fifteen hundred Qi Cultivation elites!

It should be known that at the peak of Xuanguang Sect’s glory days, they only had nine Foundation Establishment cultivators and a thousand Qi Cultivation elites.

Adding eight subordinate Foundation Establishment Sects, a total of eighteen Foundation Establishment cultivators and nineteen hundred Qi Cultivation elites. With the full power of the county, they have thirty-three Foundation Establishment Feather Scholars and thirty-four hundred Qi Cultivation elites!

Such combat power could easily sweep through any of the five neighboring counties individually. Unfortunately, the surrounding situation does not allow for complacency, as the neighbors covet Liangxiang County, binding a significant portion of their combat power.

Now, after Master Cangfeng’s relentless efforts and a series of events, the situation around Liangxiang County has considerably improved.

The focus of Xuanguang Sect in Chongming County is entirely constrained by the Shuangye Alliance, preventing them from looking southward. Xinghu County’s Jiyang Manor remains defensive, and Master Kan Yuan rarely leaves the mountain. Tieyuan County’s Huanggen Sect has now become an ally. The true major enemies remaining are the governors of the other two counties.
