A Sect from a Spirit Vein

Chapter 243: Chapter 204: Rewards and Promotions for All

In Qingzhou Quyang County, Xiangshou Mountain Marketplace faced a raid, destroyed instantaneously, and the Foundation Establishment Sect Ziluo Mountain was robbed, its riches plundered completely, the mountain gate burned to white ashes, and three hundred and fifty years of effort vanished overnight.

This explosive news rapidly spread throughout Quyang County and quickly disseminated to surrounding County Mansions.

It is said that when Sect Leader Zhuo Wuying returned to the mountain gate and saw the bleak, thoroughly clean scene, this Foundation Establishment Feather Scholar actually cried out on the spot, vomited blood, experienced chaotic spiritual power, and fainted.

This news was also reported to Qingling Sect in Quyang County. Their subordinate sect suffered such a calamity, stirring the management of this major sect into action, beginning to search for traces of these bandits in the county.

However, Lu Qian had already led his group out of Quyang County by then. They quickly maneuvered, bypassing major sects and marketplaces, charting a wavy line from Qingzhou back to the borders of Cangzhou.

They successfully met up with Chen Wei and the Sky Ray waiting there, boarded the Sky Ray, and flew directly to Chongming County, finally breathing a sigh of relief.

On the Sky Ray’s back, Lu Qian set up an array and initiated a simple post-war summary meeting. Everyone’s eyes were ablaze, looking at Lu Qian, for they all knew that the time for rewards had arrived.

According to Yunshan Sect’s regulations, all war spoils organized by the sect must be publicly surrendered, and merits discussed after the war to allocate rewards.

To ensure disciples truthfully surrendered their gains, not only were severe disciplinary measures written in the sect’s rules, but it was also stipulated during operations that all spoils must not be stored in private storage pouches. They must be directly loaded into designated public storage pouches under everyone’s watch and promptly handed over after the battle.

The public storage pouch was managed by the team leader, and all spoils were immediately sealed with a special talisman after collection, not to be opened. Post-war, the talisman’s integrity is inspected.

During this process, all disciples oversee each other, strictly prohibiting private appropriation.

Even this way, private appropriation may still occur. But Lu Qian temporarily has no better solution and can only go so far.

After the war spoils were collected, it came time for the eagerly anticipated merit accounting and rewards.

However, this situation was slightly different as Lu Qian had gathered eighteen Late-Stage Qi Cultivation and twenty Mid-Stage Qi Cultivation individuals from Shuangye Alliance families, necessitating a portion of the war spoils to be given as remuneration based on each family’s contributions.

The usual practice would be to send the gratitude to the sect from which the borrowed personnel came, then the participating cultivators’ share would be allocated by the relevant sect itself.

But the cultivators accomplished significant feats this time, intimidating Bailu Mountain for territory, guarding Lu Qian successfully to Foundation Establishment, invading Xiangshou Mountain Marketplace, breaching Ziluo Mountain’s mountain gate, with gains surpassing those from the previous Chaosheng Sect annihilation!

As for how much was gained specifically, it still needs to wait until returning to the mountain, where Internal Affairs Elder Jiang Qingfeng will oversee the tallying and inventory work.

The sole deficit of this grand victory was during the final attack on Ziluo Mountain, where Ziluo Mountain disciples’ desperate counterattack resulted in five Shuangye Alliance cultivators being killed in battle.

Massacre, sect annihilation, life-and-death combat, deaths are perfectly normal. Even as Lu Qian tried his best to maintain advantage, accidents would still happen.

He is thankful inside that Yunshan disciples, under the extra care from two Foundation Establishment members, were all intact with no significant losses, with only a few injuries. This was sufficient.

Lu Qian first affirmed the contributions of Shuangye Alliance cultivators in this surprise attack, announcing the merit accounting status and specifically highlighting several cultivators’ excellent performances. These individuals all flushed red, beaming with excitement.

Everyone felt Lu Qian’s praises were sincere and felt quite valued, all puffing up their chests in pride and shared glory.

Subsequently, Lu Qian expressed that beyond providing the corresponding sect remuneration, he would additionally gift these cultivators a red envelope each, further exciting the crowd, prompting cheers.

Finally, Lu Qian promised generous consolation to the bereaved families of fallen cultivators, earning high praise from everyone.

Xuu Yingcai and Chen Wei, unsurprisingly, felt powerless and resigned. Even Zhao Xianzong sighed inwardly; having such events repeatedly is likely to have these cultivators etching Yunshan Sect as their Alliance leader and Sect Leader in mind, forgetting their original sect.

Subsequently, Shuangye Alliance cultivators left the array, and Yunshan Sect disciples continued the meeting.

Approaching Bichao Mountain, both the original disciples and those returning after three years of separation were deeply thrilled at heart.

Especially the latter.

Just upon returning to the sect, Lu Qian led them to a grand victory.

Easy win, spectacular win, morale-boosting win!

The Wang Family and Ziluo Mountain that previously chased them across the county, under Lu Qian’s scheme this time, not only lost Xiangshou Mountain Marketplace but even Ziluo Mountain’s mountain gate was burned to ashes.

A real relief! A huge relief!

Recalling the raging fire, their hearts still feel utterly exhilarating and extremely delighted.

Junior Brother Hao and others discussed privately, sharing the sentiment that Lu Qian as Sect Leader, whether in cultivation level or martial arts, interpersonal skills or strategic acumen, far exceeded Yang Jiye by several times, earning their deep admiration.

Yang Jiye, Wang Yu, and others also, while feeling vindicated, sincerely recognized Lu Qian’s capabilities.

Through this battle, these previously dispersed disciples truly returned loyalty-wise, now all eagerly looking forward to returning to Bichao Mountain.

For Yunshan disciples, Lu Qian merely commended and encouraged them; as for rewards, naturally, they will be distributed upon returning to the mountain gate, based on sect regulations and reward systems.

Over these past three years, Yunshan disciples have become accustomed to this process, knowing the sect is strict on rewards and punishments, naturally indifferent. Returning disciples, though a bit puzzled, now fully trust Lu Qian and therefore do not worry, planning to inquire with their nephews after the meeting disperses.

In the end, Yunshan disciples also left first, leaving only Yang Jiye, Tan Hong, Wang Yu, and Zheng Duan in the array.

After recent engagements, Lu Qian noticed Senior Brother Wang Yu, of Qi Cultivation tenth level, was amiable, mature, and prudent, with detailed and comprehensive planning skills, also capable of independently taking charge.

Additionally, among the dispersed disciples, he was quite esteemed, so after returning to the mountain this time, aside from Yang Jiye being appointed as Elder, Lu Qian intended to also appoint Wang Yu as Elder of Yunshan Sect.

Thus, in this temporary management meeting, Lu Qian invited Wang Yu too.

The topic of this meeting, in fact, was about how to settle the returning disciples aside from Yang Jiye and Wang Yu, or rather, what treatment to offer them.

Knowing that this group of dispersed disciples are all fourth-generation disciples of Yunshan Sect with the same rank as Lu Qian, including nine who are Lu Qian’s senior brothers and two junior brothers.

Such rank here implicates the impossibility of casual handling.

Yang Jiye and Wang Yu, as the leaders of this traveling group, naturally knew team members well, while Tan Hong and Zheng Duan, after these days of interaction, also formed a relatively concrete impression.

Thus, Lu Qian planned to hear their opinions.
