War Sovereign Soaring The Heavens

When Yue Chao Xun recalled Wu Hong Qing’s words to him before he came to the Nine Serenities Battlefield, he would remind himself to be cautious when dealing with Mi Xuan.

Mi Xuan was originally a King of Gods. His physical strength had been reduced to that of a Nine Star God of War after he possessed Tang San Pao since Tang San Pao’s Celestial Origin Energy had only begun to develop traces of the Divine Energy. Nevertheless, his soul attacks were still those of a King of Gods. He might not be able to cast his soul attacks in the Nine Serenities Battlefield to the restrictions, but after leaving the Nine Serenities Battlefield, he would no longer be restricted. Moreover, his soul attacks were that of an intermediate King of Gods, not an ordinary King of Gods, which meant ordinary Kings of Gods would not be able to withstand his soul attacks.

Although Ji You, the Heavenly Emperor of the Given Heaven, had already attained godhood, it was unlikely that he was a King of Gods.

Hence, Yue Chao Qun felt like he had heard a joke when he heard Ji Ying’s words. Would the Heavenly Emperor of the Given Heaven be a match for Mi Xuan?

“You…” Ji Ying could tell Yue Chao Qun was mocking. It caused him to grow even more furious. His face flushed with anger as he said, “I’ll inform my master about this matter immediately!”

“Suit yourself.” Yue Chao Qun shrugged. He rolled his eyes at Ji Ying before he left. He thought Ji Ying was a fool and thought too highly of himself and his master. If only he knew his master would even have to bow to Mi Xuan.

‘I hope Lord Mi Xuan will find his target at the Second Northern Region’s North Profound Alliance. If the North Profound Alliance’s Supreme Guardian is Duan Ling Tian, I’ll be able to leave this place soon…’

Although the Nine Serenities Battlefield was a good place to train for Nine Star Gods of War and help them begin the process of attaining godhood, these only applied to ordinary Nine Star Gods of War. Yue Chao Qun who had long become a Nine Star God of War was definitely not one of them. Not only would he not benefit from staying here, but it also hindered his progress in attaining godhood. Moreover, he had spent a long time in the Nine Serenities Battlefield in the past to train, and as a result, had grown sick of the place. Hence, he just wanted to leave as soon as possible. If it were not for his old friend, Wu Hong Qing, asking for help, he would not have stepped foot into the Nine Serenities Battlefield ever again.

After Yue Chao Qun left, Ji Ying’s mood worsened. He said indignantly to one of his men, “You, leave the Nine Serenities Battlefield and inform my master of this matter. Tell him to head to the Title Temple to demand an apology!”

Initially, Ji Ying did not plan to inform his master about this matter. He only wanted to threaten Yue Chao Qun. However, Yue Chao Qun’s reaction only further fueled his anger. Hence, he decided to make good on his threat.

…

Since Ji Ying had exchanged Soul Pearls with his master, it was easy for them to contact each other. Ji Ying had given his man his Soul Pearl to contact his master after leaving the Nine Serenities Battlefield so it did not take long before Ji You, the Heavenly Emperor of the Given Heaven, learned about the matter.

“Mi Xuan?” Ji You frowned upon hearing his true disciple’s message. Initially, he had thought that there was finally good news.

Ji You was familiar with his first true disciple’s attitude. Usually, his disciple would not share his burdens and would rather shoulder them alone. Since his disciple had reached out to him, the matter must be of great importance to his disciple.

“Ying’er is almost close to attaining godhood. It’ll be bad if this matter causes a knot to form in his heart and impede his progress.”

With this thought in mind, Ji You wasted no time and left for the Title Temple branch in the Given Heaven immediately. As the Heavenly Emperor of the Given Heaven, it was naturally easy for him to travel to the main Title Temple through the Transportation Formation in the Given Heaven’s Title Temple.

As soon as Ji You saw Wu Hong Qing, he could barely suppress his anger as he recounted what had happened to Wu Hong Qing. After that, he asked, “Temple Master Wu, tell me how you’re going to resolve this! Your Title Temple’s Mi Xuan has gone overboard. How could he injure my disciple for no reason at all? How dare he disrespect me like this?”

Although Ji You was furious, he knew he had to restrain his temper. After all, Wu Hong Qing was a rudimentary King of Gods while he was just an ordinary god. He was no match for Wu Hong Qing at all.

As for Wu Hong Qing, he was not willing to fight Ji You unless it was absolutely necessary. After all, Ji You had connections in one of the Realms of Gods as well.

“Ji You, we can be considered old friends,” Wu Hong Qing said, “Why don’t we do this? For the sake of our friendship, put this matter aside for now. After Mi Xuan leaves the Nine Serenities Battlefield, I’ll send him to the Heavenly Palace of the Given Heaven. At that time, the Title Temple won’t intervene no matter what you plan to do to him. What do you think?”

Ji You was naturally unaware that Mi Xuan was a member of the Phantom Clan and also a King of God. He only thought Mi Xuan was a Nine Star God of War from the Title Temple. During his journey here, he had thought it would be difficult to obtain an apology or an explanation from the Title Temple since the Title Temple likely valued a talent like Mi Xuan a lot. Hence, he was rather surprised that not only did Wu Hong Qing not shield Mi Xuan, but Wu Hong Qing even suggested sending Mi Xuan to the Heavenly Palace of the Given Heaven to do with as he pleased.

“Temple Master Wu, what are you up to?” Ji You frowned. No matter how hard he thought about it, he could not figure out why Wu Hong Qing would do such a thing.

“Nothing.” Wu Hong Qing shook his head. “Didn’t you want to teach Mi Xuan a lesson? I agreed to your request. Once he leaves the Nine Serenities Battlefield, I’ll send him to you. You can punish him as you see fit. What? Don’t tell me you need me to tell you what to do as well?”

Ji You scoffed. “Temple Master Wu, although I can’t figure out your intention, I can tell you that you’re wrong if you think I don’t dare to punish Mi Xuan. If you send him to me, I’ll definitely teach him a lesson. I hope you won’t go back on your words at that time.”

As soon as Ji You finished speaking, he left in a huff.

Wu Hong Qing smiled faintly. What he had done was retreat to advance. When he recalled Ji You’s parting words, he could not help but smile. ‘Ji You, you’re going to make a fool out of yourself. I don’t even want to provoke Mi Xuan unless it’s absolutely unnecessary. To think that you, a mere advanced god, have the courage to punish Mi Xuan.’

…

When Ji You returned to the Heavenly Palace of the Given Heaven, he sent the messenger back to the Nine Serenities Battlefield to convey his message to his first true disciple.

…

“Ying’er, I’ve spoken to the Title Temple as you requested. Temple Master Wu has promised to send Mi Xuan to the Heavenly Palace of the Given Heaven after Mi Xuan leaves the Nine Serenities Battlefield. He has said that I can punish him as I see fit. At that time, you should return to the Heavenly Palace as well and watch how I teach him a lesson.”

Ji Ying’s eyes lit up as soon as he heard his master’s message. He was very satisfied with the outcome. “Mi Xuan, I’ll leave this place so I can watch you suffer. Let’s see if you’re still so arrogant at that time…”

…

Mi Xuan was naturally unaware of what happened. Even if he was aware of it, he would not have cared at all. After all, he could easily deal with the Heavenly Emperor of the Given Heaven.

At this time, he finally arrived at the Second Profound Region. Then, he grabbed a passerby and asked, “Where’s the North Profound Alliance? If you don’t know the answer, I’ll kill you.”

The person Mi Xuan grabbed could sense Mi Xuan’s terrifying aura. Hence, when he heard Mi Xuan’s words, he hastily said, “M-my Lord… I know where it is! I… I’ll lead you there!”

Currently, the North Profound Alliance was the strongest alliance in the Second Northern Region. There was no one in the Second Northern Region who did not know about the alliance after it had grown famous. Accordingly, many people knew where its base was located as well.

“Move.” Mi Xuan released his grip on the person.

The random person Mi Xuan grabbed hurriedly led him to a huge ice mountain before he said, He said nervously, “My Lord, the North Profound Alliance base is in there. They dug a huge hole in the mountain and made it their base. C-can I leave now?”

“Get lost!” Mi Xuan waved his hand impatiently before he flashed toward the entrance of the North Profound Alliance base.

Upon seeing this, the person sighed in relief before he fled without looking back.

Needless to say, Mi Xuan was stopped at the entrance of the North Profound Alliance.

One of the guards said to Mi Xuan, “State your name and your purpose..”
