“Where’s he now?” Duan Ling Tian asked curiously. In his opinion, since that person achieved such extraordinary feats 30,000 years ago, he would definitely be an extraordinary character if he was still in the Southern Heaven Territory. How could someone who became a Nine Palaces Celestial Duke and had comprehended five profundities from a law before the age of 200 be ordinary?

“He’s dead,” Sun Liang Peng said with a sigh, “Back in the olden days, his innate talent and profound comprehension skills had shocked the Profound Nether Mansion… After that, he went on to join the clan that ruled the Profound Nether Mansion to further improve his strength. However, when he had broken through and become a Six Combos Celestial King, a genius from another one of the Ten Major Clans, which was older but weaker than his clan, had violated his wife. Furious, he challenged that genius to a death battle and was eventually killed by that genius. At that time, the genius was stronger than him even if the genius was nowhere as talented as him. If he were alive today, his achievements would be much greater than that genius who killed him.” A hint of pity could be heard in his voice when he spoke.

“He died before he even grew into his full potential?” Duan Ling Tian could not help but pity the Imperial Tutor of the Profound Nether Mansion from 30,000 years ago. If that person were alive, he would have become a Celestial Lord, a top powerhouse in the Southern Heaven Territory, at least. His eyes flashed as he said, “If he had endured for a while before confronting his opponent, he probably could have killed his opponent, right?” However, he knew very well not many people would be able to tolerate such matters.

“Of course. After all, his innate talent and comprehension skills were far better than his opponent,” Sun Liang Peng replied confidently.

“Is his opponent still alive?” Duan Ling Tian asked curiously.

Sun Liang Peng nodded before he smiled wryly and said, “Not only is he still alive, but he’s now the clan leader of his clan. Moreover, his clan isn’t just any ordinary clan, it’s one of the Ten Major Clans in Southern Heaven Territory. Although the clan leaders of the Ten Major Clans might not be the strongest, they’re at least first-rate Celestial Lords. Moreover, that person is said to be strongest among the clan leaders, and he might become a titled Celestial Lord.”

“He rose so high in ranks?” Duan Ling Tian sighed. “If that Imperial Tutor of the Profound Nether Mansion was still alive, he would’ve become a titled Celestial Lord by now, right?”

Sun Liang Peng nodded. “If his innate talent and comprehension skills did not diminish with time, he should at least be a titled Celestial Lord by now and would be close to becoming a Celestial Emperor. His strength would probably be comparable to the Southern Heaven Celestial Lord who rules over the Southern Heaven Territory. Alas, heaven was jealous of the genius, and he died prematurely… Rumor had it that his wife was pregnant with his child the same year that she was violated. However, his pregnant wife mysteriously disappeared after his death. There were speculations that the man who violated her had killed her to avoid troubles in the future. In fact, I even heard his wife was rather strong. She didn’t kill herself in despair when she found out he had died but chose to live for the child in her belly!” At the end of his words, he sounded slightly angry.

Duan Ling Tian’s eyes flashed coldly when he heard Sun Liang Peng’s words. Not only did that person violate someone’s pregnant wife, but he even killed her after violating her and killing her husband? Such a person could not even compare to the beasts!

“Because of this matter, the people from the Profound Nether Mansion weren’t able to see that Imperial Tutor grow into his full potential and become the strongest person in the Southern Heaven Territory. Duan Ling Tian, your innate talent and comprehension skills are comparable to the former Imperial Tutor. Moreover, with your fortuitous encounter, you’ll definitely achieve great things,” Sun Liang Peng said as he looked at Duan Ling Tian, “With your achievements at such a young age, there’s no doubt you’ll become the new Imperial Tutor of the Profound Nether Mansion!”

Sun Liang Peng paused for a brief moment as his expression turned solemn. He said, “Before joining the Profound Nether Mansion, I hope you’ll heed my advice… Now that you know why the former Imperial Tutor died before he grew into his full potential, learn from his mistake. Don’t act recklessly and put yourself at risk. As the saying goes, ‘Where there’s life, there’s hope’. However, if you die, there’ll be no hope left at all.” He obviously did not want Duan Ling Tian following in the footsteps of the former Imperial Tutor. After all, in his opinion, if the former Imperial Tutor had endured and did not act recklessly, he would not only have his revenge, but he would also become the strongest powerhouse in the Southern Heaven Territory by now!

“Sect leader, in my opinion, the former Imperial Tutor must be a sentimental man. If I may ask you a question… If you were in his shoes, could you endure such a matter?” Duan Ling Tian’s eyes burned bright as he looked at Sun Liang Peng and said, “Some matters can and should be endured, but there are some matters that shouldn’t be endured even if you can endure it…”

Sun Liang Peng fell into a daze as he imagined himself in the former Imperial Tutor’s shoes. He discovered he would not be able to endure such a matter as well. After all, how could one hold back from avenging one’s parents or wife?

Duan Ling Tian did not wait for Sun Liang Peng to reply as he said, “I will never allow such a thing to happen to me in the first place… I admire the Imperial Tutor for being a man of sentiment, but I can’t say he was a good husband since he failed to protect his wife. Moreover, she was bearing his child at that time! Apart from that, he even died after she was violated, leaving her alone to bear the burden! He should be held accountable for that!” In his opinion, a man who failed to protect his own woman failed his duty as a man and as a husband.

“I disagree… Who would have expected that person would violate his wife? He could not have foreseen that…” Sun Liang Peng disagreed with Duan Ling Tian.

Duan Ling Tian only responded with a faint smile and no longer said anything. However, he firmly believed if the former Imperial Tutor had protected his wife better, such a tragedy could have been avoided. Even if the former Imperial Tutor had to leave his wife to cultivate in seclusion, with his status, could he not ask his seniors to protect his wife while he was away?

Sun Liang Peng noticed Duan Ling Tian seemed to have no intention of continuing this topic so he promptly changed the topic and asked, “Duan Ling Tian, the Heaven Sacrificial Divine Fruit not only improves one’s cultivation base, but I heard it helps one comprehend many profundities from a new law as well… I wonder what law and how many profundities you’ve comprehended?” He had been really curious about this matter since earlier.

“The law of space… I…”

Sun Liang Peng’s eyes widened immediately, and he interjected, “Y-you comprehended the law of space?”

Duan Ling Tian nodded.

“How many profundities?” Sun Liang Peng continued to ask.

“Not many… Just six,” Duan Ling Tian replied.

“You don’t think that’s a lot?” Sun Liang Peng looked at Duan Ling Tian as though he wanted to beat Duan Ling Tian up.

“It really isn’t a lot. I heard six is the minimum number of profundities one would be able to comprehend after consuming the Heaven Sacrificial Divine Fruit. Even my friend, Ling Jue Yun, comprehended eight profundities from the law of metal. In that sense, I really didn’t comprehend that many profundities,” Duan Ling Tian explained.

“The law of metal is only an ordinary law. How can it compare to the law of space? The law of space is one of the Four Supreme Laws. They’re known to be difficult to comprehend,” Sun Liang Peng shook his head as he said, “Based on what I heard, those who consumed the Heaven Sacrificial Divine Fruit in the past and comprehended six profundities were ordinary laws. I’ve never heard of anyone who managed to comprehend one of the Four Supreme Laws.” His eyes shone with envy as he spoke. It was only natural since he did not come across any of the Four Supreme Laws in his entire life.

The duo continued chatting for a while longer before Duan Ling Tian decided to return to his residence.

However, Sun Liang Peng insisted that Duan Ling Tian stayed in his residence. “Since you’ll be leaving in three days, stay here and chat with me. Moreover, I’m interested in listening to your adventures in the Jade Emperor Heaven and how you obtained the Heaven Sacrificial Divine Fruit from the reincarnated Celestial Emperor.”

Duan Ling Tian did not feel it was right to decline Sun Liang Peng’s invitation so he spent the next three days in Sun Liang Peng’s residence. They chatted, and he told Sun Liang Peng about everything during his time in the Jade Emperor Heaven. Naturally, he did not mention the Five Divine Elements or his divine artifact. In fact, even when Sun Liang Peng asked about Royal Grade Celestial Weapons and Emperor Grade Celestial Weapons, he denied seeing such things.

“It seems like that reincarnated Celestial Emperor didn’t manage to reclaim his past life’s possessions… Perhaps, someone else found them,” Sun Liang Peng speculated.

Duan Ling Tian faintly nodded in agreement. However, he knew Sun Liang Peng might not necessarily believe his words, but without his confirmation, there was nothing Sun Liang Peng could do even if Sun Liang Peng was suspicious. Moreover, if he performed well in the Profound Nether Mansion, Sun Liang Peng might even be rewarded with a Royal Grade Celestial Weapon from the Mansion Master of the Profound Nether Mansion for discovering a genius like him.
