I Seek Immortality Through Serendipity

East of the marshes of the Nine Rivers lies a towering mountain range that stretches for thirty thousand miles beyond the Cyan Peak Daoist School.

Layers upon layers of peaks and ridges, mountains and water resembling a painting, it is just the break of dawn, countless mists rolling, akin to a dragon spiraling among the mountains, reflecting an aura that makes the mountains seem like the Immortal Realm.

Among the mountains, four peaks stand tall and aloof, piercing through the sea of clouds, almost equal to the heavens.

Immortal cranes flutter, Spirit Ginseng covers the land, flora turns essence, occasionally a child in Daoist Robe walks between cliffs and blue stones, bending to pick herbs, with a Spiritual Ape carrying a basket, illustrating a scene serene and tranquil.

Upon the central Spirit Peak, pavilions and towers, Jade Hall with golden tiles, countless buildings winding down the mountain, creating a magnificent sight.

At the summit of the precipice, amidst the clouds and mist, stands a gigantic stone tablet with two large characters carved in silver and iron: Primordial Cauldron!

”Junior Brother Gu, we’ve arrived, this is the entrance to the Primordial Cauldron Sect, Danlong Mountain!”

At this moment, two Escape Lights arrive swiftly from afar, landing atop the drifting clouds without concealment.

The lights disperse, revealing two figures, the one leading is not human but an illusory flame-formed humanoid figure, solidifying in fire, with mustaches and hair, looking almost as real as a True Person.

Behind the flame figure follows a young heighted Daoist with jade hairpin, long sleeves fluttering, face as radiant as jade, exceedingly handsome.

It was Master Xuan Guang and Gu Yuan.

After discussing matters of the Star Spirit at Cyan Flame Peak, Master Xuan Guang led Gu Yuan, proceeding straight eastward, halting before the gate of the Primordial Cauldron Sect.

”Senior brother, could it be that the Primordial Cauldron Sect possesses a place of great fortune?”

Gu Yuan pondered curiously, looking at the cloud-touching Spirit Mountain before him.

He knew little about the Primordial Cauldron Sect, though back at his Golden Core Ceremony, Master Qiansui from this sect came to congratulate.

Yet, the notion of a place of great fortune was unheard of.

”You shall soon know!”

Master Xuan Guang teased, keeping the answer veiled.

Just then, a white Immortal Crane flew out from the mountains, crossing the cloud layers, landing beside the two.

On the crane, sat an enchanting female Daoist disguised as a male, lips red, teeth white.

”Greetings to the two Ascendants, the master commands the disciple to lead the way!”

The female Daoist leaped off the crane, struggling to stand on the drifting clouds, bowing respectfully to the two.

”Where is your senior brother, sending you this little one who hasn’t even voided cultivation, barely able to hover in clouds?”

Master Xuan Guang seems familiar with the Primordial Cauldron Sect, asking with a chuckle.

”Senior brother is out experiencing, not at the mountain, thus the master sent the disciple to welcome the two Ascendants.”

The young Daoist bowed again and said respectfully.

”Then let us proceed!”

Upon hearing, Master Xuan Guang laughed heartily, waving his sleeve of flames, carrying the young Daoist, transforming into flowing fire, flying toward a concealed location at Danlong Mountain.

The Mountain Protection Array of the Primordial Cauldron Sect seemed to perceive the presence of the two long ago, quietly opening a passage, allowing Master Xuan Guang to fly toward the secret place without hindrance.

Gu Yuan upon seeing, could only smile helplessly, following along.

”Bleak!”

The remaining Immortal Crane, seeing its master nowhere, flapped its wings swiftly, chasing after them.

...

...

Danlong Mountain’s terrain is unique, its peak standing oval-shaped, with a stretch of dark scorch marks on its cliff, seen from afar like a massive stone cage on earth.

Named Danlong Mountain due to the Primordial Cauldron Sect’s mastery of Alchemy and the mountain’s resemblance.

At the summit of Danlong Mountain, stands a grand bronze hall, not luxurious, rather carrying an ancient simplicity.

The interior is simple in decoration, featuring only a spiraling grey stone staircase, extending down deep underground.

The entire hall seems constructed to conceal the stone staircase, with its pillars adorned with numerous flickering Array Patterns, and its tiles sparkling with Thunder, ready to unleash a Thunder Strike at any moment.

Gu Yuan followed behind Master Xuan Guang, descending the stone steps, though face was composed, his heart was tensely vigilant.

The staircase seems linked with the Mountain Protection Array of Primordial Cauldron Sect, possessing formidable power that Gu Yuan estimated his current strength could not resist.

Fortunately, the Grand Array remained unfired, everything was peaceful.

Led by Master Xuan Guang, Gu Yuan descended the stone steps, arriving at the entrance of a gigantic stone cave.

The entire Danlong Mountain seemed hollowed within, and this stone cave lied at its deepest.

The stone cave, vast and empty, rich Spiritual Qi rushed forth, within unknown contents illuminated it like daylight, contained within it a Pill Furnace Hall, tens of yards tall, reflecting the broadness of the cave.

In front of the hall, an elder clad in a Profound Yellow Daoist Robe, with white hair and beard, gazed at the two with a smiling, yet weary gaze.

Different from the ordinary Golden Core’s youthful appearance, this elder truly embodied an aged demeanor silently emanating.

It was Master Qiansui, the oldest Golden Core Cultivator of the Primordial Cauldron Sect, with Mid-Stage Golden Core cultivation.

”Fellow Daoist Xuan Guang, long time no see, how did you get into this state?”

Master Qiansui looked at Master Xuan Guang with fiery form devoid of body, unable to restrain his surprise and queried.

”Do not speak of it, taken unnoticeably, nearly fell to Demonic Dao rogues, thankful to Junior Brother Gu’s aid, otherwise I would have transitioned to Dao before you, my friend!”

Master Xuan Guang couldn’t help but laugh bitterly.

”Oh? Has Master Donghua attained such capabilities?”

Master Qiansui gazed at Gu Yuan in surprise, eyes revealing amazement.
