She Used Me for a Dare… Now I Own Her Mother

Chapter 449: The Succubus’s Prey

”I know I can’t do much for you,” Miranda said in a serious tone, ”but if you ever need anything at all... you can come to me. You have my word.”

Alex looked at her for a moment before replying.

”Ma’am, please don’t say that,” he said calmly. ”I already promised you I would look after him. You don’t owe me anything. What I did... it was just something I felt I should do. So please, don’t feel like you have to repay me.”

Miranda stared at him for a few seconds. A small, genuine smile appeared on her face.

”You’re a good kid, Alex,” Miranda said softly. ”That’s why I’m insisting.”

She leaned back in her chair and looked at him seriously.

”I know you already have your own connections,” she continued, ”but I can still help you in many ways. People fight tooth and nail just to get a foothold in this university. As the President, I have access to certain privileges that most people don’t. If you ever need anything... whether it’s related to your studies, personal matters, or even something outside the university... don’t hesitate to come to me.”

Her tone was calm but firm.

”I may not be as powerful as some of the big families out there, but within these walls, my word still carries weight. And I don’t forget the people who’ve helped me.”

Alex looked at her for a moment before giving a small nod.

But internally, he was clearly satisfied.

He already knew how important Blackwood University was. It wasn’t just a prestigious institution... it held significant influence both inside and outside its walls.

More importantly, it served as a breeding ground for talented individuals. If he could one day develop his own methods to detect and nurture talent at an early stage, the university’s value would become even greater in the long run.

Having the President herself owe him a favor was no small thing. This connection might prove useful in the future.

Alex gave a small nod, genuinely satisfied with her sincerity.

”Thank you, Ma’am. I’ll keep that in mind.”

He paused for a second, then asked in a calm voice,

”How’s Mr. Sterling? Is he doing fine?”

Miranda’s expression softened. She looked down for a moment before replying.

”He is good,” she said quietly. ”I was really scared when I first saw him... but it looks like they haven’t tortured him much. He is recovering slowly.”

Alex nodded as he listened to her.

’James didn’t let him go easily,’ he thought. ’Catherine must have used some healing medicine or something to help him recover this fast.’

”He’ll be fine, don’t worry, Ma’am,” Alex said calmly. ”Just give him some time.”

Miranda looked at him and smiled gently.

”I hope so.”

Alex picked up the envelope containing his Hall Ticket from the table and stood up.

”I should get going now. The exams are coming up soon.”

Miranda nodded.

”Alright. Go and study well. And remember what I said.”

Alex gave a small respectful nod and turned toward the door.

As soon as Alex stepped out of the office and closed the door behind him, Natalia’s last words echoed in his mind.

”I hope you like... mothers of your friends.”

”I’ll be waiting beside this office.”

Along with her words, the image of her leaning forward... the deep valley between her full breasts, the way they had swayed gently like a pendulum... flashed in his mind. A strange heat began to rise in his lower abdomen, and for a brief moment, he found himself imagining things he shouldn’t.

Alex’s brows furrowed.

He shook his head firmly, trying to clear the lingering thoughts.

’This isn’t normal...’

He had already expected her to be dangerous because of the Succubus trait. But what surprised him was how effective it was. Even though he was mentally prepared and had a strong will, her words and presence were still affecting him.

It wasn’t just simple seduction... it felt like a skill, something she had clearly refined and developed to a high level.

Even he wasn’t completely immune to it.

Alex took a slow, deep breath and calmed his mind. His eyes turned cold as he looked ahead.

’This woman... is far more dangerous than I expected.’

Alex walked slowly through the corridor, his mind still occupied with what had just happened.

’How do I survive against someone who has the trait of a Succubus?’ he thought. ’She’s clearly not a novice either. I have some skills that can help, but I don’t have any proper defense against her type yet.’

He recalled how easily her words and presence had affected him just moments ago.

’She didn’t even take me seriously. She probably only used low-level skills like suggestive whispers or basic charm. If she actually used her higher-level skills... I might not be able to resist at all.’

Alex’s expression turned serious.

He needed proper countermeasures.

”Lilith,” he called out in his mind. ”Can you show me a few skills that can help me defend against someone like her?”

Lilith’s voice echoed in his head almost immediately.

”There are a few skills that can help you resist mental influence, charm effects, and seductive abilities.”

”However... most of the effective ones are quite expensive. And right now, you don’t have enough Conquest Points to purchase them.”

Alex’s brows furrowed slightly.

’As expected...’

He let out a quiet breath and continued walking.

However, before he could think further, Lilith’s voice rang in his mind again... this time with a hint of offense.

You are taking yourself too lightly, Alex.”

Alex paused mid-step.

Lilith’s voice continued in his mind, her tone serious.

”Do you know how cultivators like her increase their strength? It’s by controlling, seducing, and extracting the essence of strong men. The stronger and more unique the man, the greater the benefit she receives.”

She paused for a moment before continuing.

”Men like you are extremely rare. You possess a strong will, a unique system, and an aura that stands out from ordinary people. To a Succubus, you are not just another prey... you are a high-quality source of essence. The kind they would go to great lengths to obtain.”

She continued calmly.

”That’s why her interest in you rose so sharply. From zero to ninety in such a short time. It shows how desperate she is to have you. You didn’t just catch her attention... you triggered her instincts.”

”She used a high-level skill on you...” Lilith said. ”Suggestive Whisper. And she did it with complete confidence, as if she has never failed when using it before.”

She paused for a moment before continuing.

”And you still resisted it. Even though you were a bit flustered, you resisted her sure-shot skill.”

Lilith’s tone became calmer.

”You don’t need to worry too much. She won’t be able to control you easily. But if you want to be completely certain, you can just increase your Mental stat to 50.”

Alex’s steps slowed.

’Oh... right. I can increase my stats.’

He had almost forgotten about it in the middle of everything.

”Show me my stats. ” he said in his mind.

A familiar blue screen appeared in front of his eyes.

Alex looked at the screen and thought for a second.

’15 points in Mind... that’s going to take half of what I have right now.’

But he didn’t hesitate.

”Alright... make my Mind stat 50.”

The moment he gave the command, the system responded instantly.

[Mind: 35 → 50]

[Mental Stat Increased]

[You have gained strong resistance against mental influence, charm, and illusion-type skills.]

[Your mind has become significantly more stable and clear.]

[Remaining CP: 15,000 → 7,500]

A sudden wave of clarity washed over Alex’s mind.

The lingering thoughts that had been bothering him... Natalia’s deep cleavage, her seductive voice, and the strange heat he felt earlier... all of it was forcefully pushed back and disappeared.

His mind felt sharper, calmer, and much more stable than before. The slight fog that had clouded his judgment was completely gone.

Alex let out a small breath.

’Much better.’

Alex continued walking through the long corridor. His footsteps were calm and steady, but his mind was anything but.

He had been thinking of Natalia as a threat until now... a dangerous woman with a Succubus trait who could potentially control or manipulate him. But after hearing Lilith’s explanation, his perspective began to shift.

’She’s Marcus’s mother...’

A cold, calculating thought slowly formed in his mind.

’If she’s this desperate to get close to me... then why can’t I use her instead?’

His eyes narrowed slightly as he walked.

’She wants me for my essence. She sees me as prey.’

Alex’s lips curled into a faint, cold smirk inside his mind.

’Then let’s turn it around.’

’Let the predator become the prey.’

He had no intention of becoming her plaything. But if he could control the situation... if he could make her lower her guard while feeding her just enough to keep her interested.

’This might actually work in my favor.’

Alex’s gaze turned slightly colder as he continued walking toward the next office, which was quite far from the President’s office. His steps didn’t slow down.

Instead of avoiding Natalia, he was now thinking about how to use her.
