Berserk God of War

Time passed by for a few hours...

The Thunderstorm Roar Beast was getting particularly irritable about the chase. It couldn’t help but ask again, ”Young Master, why don’t we head back immediately and hunt down the other members of Overlord Commerce, using their lives to force the Soul Dominator’s Heir to turn back?”

It felt that continuing like this wasn’t a solution and had to think of something else.

However, Pei Yusheng said softly, ”It’s already too late; the troops of Overlord Commerce must have already gathered.”

Several hours had passed, and returning now wouldn’t make a difference...

Thinking of this, Pei Yusheng’s expression became even more cold and grim.

Originally, he thought he could catch up quickly, so he didn’t consider using the other members of Overlord Commerce as hostages. As it turned out, the Soul Dominator’s Heir could continuously restore the power of Murong Jianyun.

”The Soul Dominator’s Heir is indeed terrifying; Pei Yupo’s defeat was not in vain...”

”If I’m not mistaken, they’re trying to hold out until they reach Overlord City, after which top experts from Overlord City will be dispatched to intercept us. So, they need to at least hang on for seven days.”

Pei Yusheng began to analyze the situation as well...

If they were to send a message out now, it would take Sikong Jing seven days to meet the experts from Overlord City in the middle of the journey. Pei Yusheng, of course, did not know that Sikong Jing had sent a message to the Dark Winged Dragon Eagle a day earlier.

Nor did he know that the Dark Winged Dragon Eagle had already reached the Holy Martial Stage, so five days would be enough.

”Keep trying to chase with all our might and see if we can catch them.”

Pei Yusheng said in a low voice, ”If we still can’t catch up, then we must ensure that Murong Jianyun can’t recover too much.”

Then, they continued the chase...

In the blink of an eye: one day, two days, three days passed!

Three days later, the situation remained the same. The two Holy Martial Stage beings chased and fled like two terrifying streaks of light in the sky.

During this time, Sikong Jing and Murong Jianyun were in several dangerous situations but managed to escape using various methods. For example, Sikong Jing finally forced the Split Armor Flying Scorpion up to the Emperor Second Realm, increasing its speed...

And now they could almost be at ease.

As long as the Thunderstorm Roar Beast didn’t have a particularly powerful move, they wouldn’t catch up even going all the way to Overlord City.

But atop the Split Armor Flying Scorpion, Murong Jianyun suddenly laughed bitterly, ”Three days have passed, and I’ve barely recovered two-tenths of my True Qi. I was somewhat optimistic before, thinking it might be possible to recover to four-tenths.”

Because he was constantly exhausting himself.

Whenever the Thunderstorm Roar Beast approached, he had to exhaust a lot, preventing him from recovering his injuries in peace.

Sikong Jing nodded lightly, seeing as well, ”It seems it’s almost impossible to take down the Thunderstorm Roar Beast.”

Upon hearing this, Pei Yupo, lying atop the Split Armor Flying Scorpion and having finished writing down all the intelligence, twitched crazily at the corners of his mouth. He really wanted to drag his brother along to perish together.

”No matter, if we can’t take it down, so be it.”

Sikong Jing continued, ”We should still proceed as planned and let the Dark Winged Dragon Eagle make its appearance.”

Previously, Sikong Jing didn’t want to rely on the troops of Overlord Commerce, simply because he didn’t want to make unnecessary sacrifices. He hadn’t held high hopes for being able to take down the Thunderstorm Roar Beast.

Even if Murong Jianyun did recover four-tenths of his power and teamed up with the Dark Winged Dragon Eagle, it still might not be enough to kill it.

The Holy Martial Stage isn’t so easily defeated.

Now, Sikong Jing was calm and composed, and the situation was quite good.

He had used Pei Yusheng to almost exhaust all the information about Qianwang Holy Tower from Pei Yupo, and disrupted Pei Yusheng’s devouring, halting his Sacred Body evolution...

So, whatever could be done to the Thunderstorm Roar Beast would just go with the flow.

...

Later, on the head of the Thunderstorm Roar Beast, Pei Yusheng remained equally calm.

He spoke lowly, ”Three days have passed, that fat old head must have disclosed my secret by now.”

Pei Yusheng had initially wanted to silence Murong Jianyun and the others to keep the secret.

But Old Fat Head had already run off for three whole days, and this matter couldn’t be kept a secret, so there was no longer any need for silence now.

Thus, Pei Yusheng also accepted it calmly...

”As for devouring Pei Yupo, I definitely won’t admit it.”

”But I have to admit that I have an Innate Saint Body...”

”Looks like I’ll have to prematurely become my father’s favorite son and face attacks from my brothers and sisters.”

Once his secret was spread, Pei Kuang would surely ask him about it. So he had to admit it himself, resulting in jealousy from his brothers and sisters driving them mad, preventing him from peacefully doing what he wanted...

Originally, he was still young and his realm was weak...

Thus he had many secret plans he wanted to carry out, but now he was forced to shift from the shadows to the light.

”For now, we can’t kill the Soul Dominator’s Heir and Murong Jianyun.” Pei Yusheng said quietly again, having realized when the Split Armor Flying Scorpion reached the Emperor Second Realm that they couldn’t catch up, so he had to face reality.

However, after a slight pause, he grinned wickedly, ”After two more days of chasing, I’ll approach the Soul Dominator’s Heir for negotiation.”

After saying this, he slowly lay on the head of the Thunderstorm Roar Beast, presenting a carefree appearance.

...

Ahead, Sikong Jing suddenly turned around...

Then he looked at Pei Yupo, saying, ”Your brother is indeed much stronger than you.”

At these words, Pei Yupo reacted as if struck by a thunderbolt.

He roared, ”Nonsense, he’s only stronger than me because of his Innate Saint Body. In other aspects, how can he compare to me?”

To this, Sikong Jing just laughed. Pei Yusheng’s calm demeanor was obviously superior to the irritable Pei Yupo.

Indeed, Sikong Jing sensed Pei Yusheng’s mood behind him. If it had been Pei Yupo, he would never have been this calm and accepting. This Qianwang Young Master would be tough to deal with in the future.

”And why haven’t you killed me yet?”

The wait for death was the most terrifying; Pei Yupo was really hoping Sikong Jing would finish him off now.

”If we kill you now, Pei Yusheng might stop chasing. Wouldn’t our Dark Winged Dragon Eagle have made the trip for nothing?”

Sikong Jing shrugged and added with a smile, ”Even if we can’t take down the Thunderstorm Roar Beast, having a battle with the Dark Winged Dragon Eagle would be quite worthwhile, as opponents like the Holy Martial Stage Demon Beasts are rare.”

Saying this, he ignored Pei Yupo again.

Of course, he couldn’t kill this person just yet. The reason Pei Yusheng continued chasing despite knowing they couldn’t catch up was that he still had hopes of devouring Pei Yupo...

In the blink of an eye, another two days passed. Pei Yusheng suddenly opened his eyes and rose from the back of the Thunderstorm Roar Beast.

Then he shouted loudly, ”Soul Dominator’s Heir, let’s talk.”

Saying this, he deliberately halted the Thunderstorm Roar Beast and ceased the pursuit...

In front, Sikong Jing’s eyes gleamed momentarily as he also halted Murong Jianyun and the Split Armor Flying Scorpion, calling back from a distance, ”Qianwang Young Master, what is it that you wish to discuss?”

He naturally knew what Pei Yusheng wanted to negotiate about, just as he had thought two days ago, that the latter wanted to devour Pei Yupo.

Pei Yusheng stood boldly in the wind atop the Thunderstorm Roar Beast and said calmly, ”Soul Dominator’s Heir, you have the potential to become my worthy adversary. Would someone of your caliber not know what I want to discuss?”
