Berserk God of War

Chapter 1696: Chapter 1696: He’s Here, the Show of Force

Upon hearing Family Head Liu Shizeng’s instructions, Liu Shitian naturally nodded and agreed without hesitation.

And then Liu Shizeng chuckled and said, ”The bloodline of Su Old Demon combined with the Sixth-grade Jade Leaf Holy Body should certainly produce a child with extraordinary talent. Our Liu Family cannot continue to be suppressed by the Ye Family.”

”Otherwise, the Willow Leaf Saint Manor might soon become the Duye Sacred Manor.”

Their intention, of course, was not to formally marry Su Yuexi, as her previous marriage was something they disdained.

Liu Shizeng’s plan was merely to give the Liu Family a child with extraordinary talent. Once the child was born, Su Old Demon’s granddaughter could be handled as she wished, and they wouldn’t care.

Just as Liu Shitian told Su Zhenglong, she was merely a tool.

...

Just as Liu Shitian led the group towards the Batian Branch in Willow Leaf City...

On the other side, Sikong Jing, in a whispered conversation with Su Yuexi, unknowingly arrived at the Batian Branch first.

And they naturally had to stop talking temporarily.

In the meantime, there was no one from the branch to stop them, nor did any person come forth to inquire, allowing their Divine Shuttle Ship to land there.

As soon as the group disembarked from the Divine Shuttle Ship, they immediately saw an elderly man approaching and heard him lightly chuckle, ”Great Judge Sikong, I am the housekeeper of the Batian Branch’s offshoot in Willow Leaf City, my surname is Lou. I will now lead you to the Judgement Tower.”

After speaking, the elder with the surname Lou made a gesture of invitation towards Sikong Jing and the others.

His tone was indifferent, without a hint of enthusiasm, and even carried a flavor of sarcasm.

Sikong Jing couldn’t help but raise his eyebrows at this...

Regarding his arrival and appointment, notification had already been sent when they were approaching Willow Leaf City.

Simultaneously, Overlord City had naturally informed the Willow Leaf City branch and had transferred the previous Great Judge away.

However, the welcome for this new Great Judge was merely from a minor housekeeper of the offshoot, with no ordinary Judgers present and certainly no Decision Makers or Overlord Stewards...

Needless to say, it was clearly some people’s attempt to give this young Great Judge a scare.

In fact, Sikong Jing had already guessed this when their Divine Shuttle Ship flew into the branch without anyone coming out to inquire.

Thinking of this, a slight smile appeared on his face, resembling an attitude of indifference.

Next to Sikong Jing, the Four Great Devils and Leng Sha naturally saw what was happening. Their faces darkened as they wanted to reprimand, but they were immediately stopped by Sikong Jing.

Still holding Su Yuexi’s hand, he said to the elder Lou, ”Then, I’ll trouble Housekeeper Lou to lead the way.”

His tone was casual, without any hint of anger...

This caused Housekeeper Lou to be taken aback, not expecting such a performance from Sikong Jing.

This was completely contrary to what the Willow Leaf City Judgers had anticipated. As someone dressed in the halo of the Sacred Body, heir to the Soul Dominator, facing deliberate difficulties, he should be immediately outraged and accusatory, shouldn’t he?

Not even slightly, which made Housekeeper Lou’s prepared lines completely useless.

Eventually, Housekeeper Lou could only manage a stiff smile, saying, ”Great Judge Sikong, please!”

Thus, Sikong Jing gently led Su Yuexi away from the docking area following Housekeeper Lou, as his lips slightly curled upwards and his gaze slanted towards a certain direction...

Where several people were secretly observing him, who were certainly the Willow Leaf City Judgers.

In other words, the leaders trying to give him a scare.

Typically, when the old Great Judge is transferred away, several of his trusted associates would leave with him, while a few Judgers would remain...

These individuals would stay in their original positions, assisting the new Great Judge in handling affairs and adapting to the environment, and so on.

Like during Gong Ying’s time, when she had Di Geng and Li Feng, among other original Dominators, assisting her as the new Great Dominator of Hanluan City.

Although Judgers are one level below Dominators, the principle is the same.

But many of the remaining Judgers also have their own agendas...

Many wish to wait out the old Great Judge so that they can rightfully assume the position of the new Great Judge. However, Willow Leaf City has not given anyone the opportunity to wait this time and brought in a young person as the Great Judge directly.

This naturally made the remaining Judgers very unhappy.

Just as Sikong Jing and the others followed Housekeeper Lou and moved further away...

The few people observed by Sikong Jing’s gaze emerged from a stopped Divine Shuttle Ship, led by a middle-aged man with graying hair, his complexion dark as night.

Beside him were three others, two men and one woman, all middle-aged.

At this moment, one of them said, ”Brother Lou, could it be that the heir to the Soul Dominator just noticed us with that glance just now?”

The person naturally addressed the leading middle-aged man.

The leader, also surnamed Lou and named Lou Jie, was a highly respected Judger in the Batian Branch of Willow Leaf City.

Housekeeper Lou, of course, was an elderly relative from his family.

Upon hearing this, Lou Jie coldly replied, ”Impossible; even the Four Great Devils couldn’t detect us.”

The reason for his confidence was the treasure he held that concealed their presence.

However, he did not know how terrifying Sikong Jing’s perception was, nor did he know that within Sikong Jing’s Divine Shuttle Ship, a terrifying Venerable Level Split Armor Flying Scorpion lay hidden...

At this point, the middle-aged woman among the four continued, ”Brother Lou, the heir to the Soul Dominator seems not as impulsive as we thought, and can actually remain composed. What should we do next?”

Besides Lou Jie, the other three were naturally all Judgers from Willow Leaf City, but they centered around Lou Jie.

Anger towards the new Great Judge Sikong was certainly brewing, as mentioned before, Lou Jie had been about to see the old Great Judge out and finally assume the position himself.

But Overlord City dispatched this person instead.

As members of Overlord Commerce, they obviously had detailed intelligence on Sikong Jing.

The intelligence indicated that Sikong Jing liked to act impulsively and rebelliously...

The intelligence labeled him as a non-combatant waste adorned with the Sacred Body halo yet being the heir to the Soul Dominator and person of the Ba Lian Lineage. But the Great Heaven Decision’s assignment of him here was clearly intent on exile.

The intelligence also mentioned that although he possessed surprisingly strong combat power, his impetuousness was excessive.

No matter what, these matters didn’t concern them much.

Lou Jie merely disliked having someone over him and disliked following orders from a young man who was partially exiled, so he didn’t hesitate to scheme to isolate Sikong Jing and make him leave promptly...

This scare was merely a slight tactic and probe.

Lou Jie took a deep breath and coldly replied, ”Stay composed? When he finds he can’t enter the Judgement Tower, his composure will certainly waver; we’ll force him to erupt and then show him a bit of color.”
