Chapter 1383: Chapter 1383: Exchanging Badges for a Higher Rank

Opposite him, Sikong Jing had already cracked it once, so he was quite familiar with The Ninth Starry Sky Map.

But he needed to be even more familiar!

As Cang Lin evolved, Sikong Jing’s mind flashed with all the changes in the soldier formations and military tactics, then all the insights into the Soldier Killing Arrays crossed his mind, including strategic deployments and more...

After a full hour, Sikong Jing suddenly said, ”Chairman Cang, do you have a Soldier Killing Chessboard?”

Cang Lin heard this and his eyes lit up.

He understood that the Sikong in front of him wanted to use the Soldier Killing Chessboard to evolve his understanding of The Ninth Starry Sky Map.

Without hesitation, he took out a chessboard, a true Emperor-grade existence.

The next moment, Sikong Jing quickly arranged on the Soldier Killing Chessboard, arranging both sides’ soldier types, of course, still based on the original Ninth Starry Sky Map, incorporating Sikong Jing’s own insights for changes...

Cang Lin stared fixedly at the increasingly complex chessboard opposite him.

At first, his old eyes showed no sign of change, but as Sikong Jing placed more and more soldier types, his blurry eyes grew increasingly bright, finally, when Sikong Jing finished... Bang!

With a bang, he couldn’t help but stand up, the shock on his face exploding without concealment...

”Whew...”

At this moment, Sikong Jing exhaled gently, and there was already some sweat on his forehead.

Arranging and changing the military positions of both enemy and ally was no easy task, and the power of his Spiritual Platform Sea was nearly exhausted.

But he was quite satisfied with the changes on the chessboard, so he looked up and said, ”Chairman Cang, I humbly present my crude work, please see if my modified military layout meets your standards?”

Cang Lin didn’t answer, he continued to stare in shock at the entire chessboard.

It was a full quarter of an hour later that he slowly pushed an Emperor Grade Lower Ten Thousand Peak Soldier Killing Map to Sikong Jing, and then pushed over six Spiritual Grade Soldier Killing Maps brought by the middle-aged manager...

Finally, he placed a small badge on top of the seven Soldier Killing Maps.

After finishing, Cang Lin spoke in a hoarse voice: ”Sikong, these things are all yours.”

Sikong Jing’s eyes lit up, and he unhesitatingly moved to take all these things...

Since Cang Lin pushed the items over, it proved that he highly recognized Sikong Jing’s modified military layout, and since it helped Cang Lin, Sikong Jing certainly wouldn’t refuse the gifts...

Because, right now, these were his well-deserved rewards.

However, just as Sikong Jing was about to take the badge, Cang Lin suddenly called out: ”Wait a moment.”

Sikong Jing’s hand immediately stopped over the badge at the top, looking at Cang Lin in confusion.

The latter suddenly took back the badge first, then called out towards the outside, while the middle-aged manager hurriedly ran in...

Cang Lin threw the badge to the middle-aged manager, and then said, ”Exchange it, give Sikong a Spirit Level Upper Stage Soldier Formation Master badge.”

Upon hearing this, the middle-aged manager’s eyes nearly bulged out...

Middle-level spiritual was already shocking enough, and now it instantly changed to an upper-level spiritual badge, it was utterly terrifying... when he turned around to leave, he again cursed the eighteen generations of ancestors of the deceased Brother Lu in his heart.

Damn it, such a terrifying genius in soldier killing, and he couldn’t even associate with him.

Because of Brother Lu’s existence, he, as the manager, undoubtedly left a bad impression!

And Sikong Jing was momentarily dazed, then smiled and said, ”Chairman Cang, I was just messing around, maybe this Soldier Killing Star Map has some opportunistic elements, isn’t a Spirit Level Upper badge a bit too high?”

He didn’t care much about what grade badge it was, it was of no use in the battlefield killing enemies.

It merely elevated status.

But strength brought status, and he didn’t know if his current accomplishments in the Soldier Killing Array deserved a Spirit Level Upper Stage.

”It’s not too high, not at all.”

Cang Lin replied extremely seriously: ”Or maybe it’s a bit high now, but I believe in one or two months, once Sikong fully understands these seven Soldier Killing Maps, you will be entirely deserving of the Spirit Level Upper Stage badge.”

Upon this, Sikong Jing turned his focus back to the seven Soldier Killing Maps...

Then he didn’t say more, gladly accepting.

Indeed, as long as he comprehends these seven maps, he could surely advance another step, perhaps breaking through to the Fourth Level of the Qianyuan Soldier Killing Map, then the Spirit Level Upper Stage would naturally be easy.

”Sikong, the more I get to know your master, the more curious I become, you are truly extraordinary.”

”You aren’t bound by the basic scope of ordinary Soldier Killing Arrays, yet you can familiarize yourself with the fundamentals, thus merging them into the ever-changing battle formations, leaving no fault to be found.”

Cang Lin sighed continuously as he said this...

The Soldier Killing Star Map evolved by Sikong Jing before him, its most crucial aspect was its extraordinary changes, things he and many masters couldn’t even dream of.

It seemed chaotic, yet just like Sikong Jing’s breaking of formations, direct and dominating.

What kind of master could teach such a disciple?

Now, Cang Lin didn’t see anything wrong with Sikong Jing taking six completely different-style Soldier Killing Maps because Sikong Jing had already shown that he should comprehend more types of Soldier Killing Maps.

Regarding Cang Lin’s inquiry, Sikong Jing merely smiled and said, ”I’m just from a small place, never learned the basics of Soldier Killing Arrays formally, so I messed around and came up with some different stuff.”

He still didn’t answer about his teachings, avoiding trouble, as he wished to return to the East Dominator Branch soon.

He believed that when Cang Lin investigated later, he would surely find out.

Soon, the middle-aged manager returned with the Spirit Level Upper Stage badge.

Sikong Jing then placed all the gains into the Blood Devouring Dragon Pearl, stood up, and bid farewell to Cang Lin...

The latter still needed time to modify the Ninth Map.

Just as Sikong Jing was about to leave, Cang Lin suddenly spoke again: ”Sikong, although I know you might refuse, I still must say, do you have any interest in joining my Sacred Canggu Peak?”

Upon his words, the middle-aged manager’s eyes widened again.

Sikong Jing paused slightly, replying as expected: ”Sorry, East Dominator Branch is quite free, and I like freedom, but as for being Chairman Cang’s friend, count me in; if you come to Hanluan City, I’ll buy you a drink.”

As the voice fell, the middle-aged manager beside him was dumbfounded again... become friends with Chairman Cang?

Chairman Cang, who is within the top five positions at Sacred Canggu Peak.

Upon hearing this, Cang Lin was equally stunned, then burst out laughing: ”Good, this friend, old me will definitely make.”

So, Sikong Jing clasped his fists, turned around, and left.

And just as Sikong Jing completely left the guild, the middle-aged manager couldn’t help but say: ”Chairman, isn’t this Sikong a bit too... too...”

At this point, he was afraid to continue...

But Cang Lin directly said: ”Too arrogant? Haha, does he look arrogant to you? He is confident, confident enough to befriend an old man like me.”

”Sigh, how on earth can we recruit such a genius?”

He sighed lightly, knowing full well that with someone like Sikong Jing, force was not an option.
