Nine Revolutions Star Transformation

Chu Linfeng clearly remembers that the jade scroll clearly recorded that the Divine Ascension Platform opens once every three years, and the opening time is only three days. At other times, one can only break through its barrier to enter.

The so-called Divine Ascension Platform is actually a platform in Sky-Spirit Valley for ascending to the Divine Realm. The real Sky-Spirit Valley is extremely large; exactly how large, Chu Linfeng does not know. When asked, the Jade Immortal Emperor was also unsure — according to her, the size of Sky-Spirit Valley is almost as big as the area of the major forces in the Immortal Realm, possibly even larger.

It is extremely dangerous inside, with various energy storms and terrifyingly powerful Immortal Beasts one could encounter at any time. Generally, those who enter tend to not return, yet many are still willing to venture in.

Because there are many top-grade treasures and Immortal Artifacts inside, obtaining any one of them would be immensely beneficial, and if lucky, one might even acquire saint-grade Immortal Artifacts and magical treasures.

These invisible barriers in Sky-Spirit Valley are not hidden to Chu Linfeng, as they are fully visible before his Eye of Ice and Fire. He quickly discovered the barrier that has blocked countless people.

This barrier is not a Light Element Barrier, but rather a barrier of Five Elements Attribute. Glancing at the barrier before him, Chu Linfeng quickly took out the Cyan Frost Divine Sword, executing a Star Slash with immense Sword Qi attacking the barrier.

However, this strike did not break the barrier, merely creating several fine cracks upon it. Chu Linfeng hadn’t anticipated the barrier to be so formidable; a barrier like this must have been arranged by someone and not naturally formed.

”Master, you cannot break this barrier like this. If broken, it cannot be restored, and if the Immortal Beasts from inside Sky-Spirit Valley come out, the Immortal Realm will fall into chaos. These Immortal Beasts are exceedingly powerful, and before the beast wars even start, the Immortal Realm might face annihilation,” said the Jade Immortal Emperor.

”So formidable? Are all the Immortal Beasts inside at the Immortal Emperor Realm?” Chu Linfeng asked in shock.

”Some are strong, some are weak. The strong ones can reach the power needed to ascend to the Divine Realm, but this barrier can easily stop them. Moreover, there are several powerful arrays and barriers inside, meant to stop these Immortal Beasts.

The reason behind one of the Immortal Beast wars is to rescue these Immortal Beasts, for many are primordial creatures trapped here long ago by someone unknown, and the Ascension Platform was also established by their mighty hand,” explained the Jade Immortal Emperor.

The more he listened, the more confused Chu Linfeng became; indeed, secrets of the Immortal Realm were numerous. ”Then how do I break through this barrier? Do I really have to wait here for three years? I recall several Immortal Emperors broke through this barrier to enter.”

”Barriers have strengths that vary, decided by time. Two months after the barrier automatically opens, it is very weak, and anyone at the Immortal Emperor Realm can break through. Likewise, two months before the barrier opens automatically, it’s also weak.

At all other times, this barrier is as strong as a fortress, in the Immortal Realm only three individuals can break through it, you being one of them. Yet you mustn’t directly attack it; instead, you need to use your unique power to break it.” explained the Jade Immortal Emperor.

After a brief moment of thought, Chu Linfeng asked, ”You mean I should use the Dark Element to directly corrode this barrier, for access?”

”Yes, currently that’s the only method. If this barrier is destroyed, it would cause great trouble to the Immortal Realm, and I believe you don’t wish to prematurely experience the Immortal Beast wars,” said the Jade Immortal Emperor.

Chu Linfeng ceased speaking, focusing on executing the Dark Transformation. A powerful Dark Element quickly emerged from his hand, hitting the barrier before him directly.

The powerful corrosive nature of the Dark Element surprised even Chu Linfeng; the barrier began thinning visibly, though the Dark Element consumption was swift, dissipating within a few breaths.

Where there is effect, there is motivation; Chu Linfeng consecutively executed about ten times, creating a half-meter-wide hole in the barrier, from which a strong Immortal Spirit Qi greeted him.

However, the barrier quickly started healing, and Chu Linfeng, not wishing to waste time, immediately squeezed through the opening, feeling like crawling through a dog hole.

Before long, after Chu Linfeng passed through, the barrier healed again, bewildering him. Without further pondering about the barrier, he proceeded straight into Ascension Valley.

Once inside, Chu Linfeng sensed a distinct difference. There were numerous residual souls floating in the air, astonishingly many at the Immortal Emperor Realm, unable to traverse past the barrier, wandering in Sky-Spirit Valley.

Yet he questioned why the barrier entrance opens every three years, yet these residual souls never leave. Could it be they can only exist in Sky-Spirit Valley?

With a change of mind, the Sky Mirror appeared in hand. Though unafraid of these residual souls, they were indeed troublesome; he swiftly sliced several residual souls.

”Why can’t these residual souls leave? Do you know why, Jade? They appear unable to speak or communicate,” inquired Chu Linfeng to the Jade Immortal Emperor.

”These are masterless residual souls; near the barrier entrance is a soul array you may have overlooked, but I clearly saw. Any residual soul that nears the soul array is destroyed, hence they never appear outside.

I managed to leave by chance, waiting nearly a hundred thousand years until the soul array was at its weakest. This soul array also requires energy to maintain, sourced from these residual souls.

As for why they can’t speak or communicate, I am unsure. Perhaps these residual souls are not souls, but spirits, and only souls can speak, spirits lack language ability.” explained the Jade Immortal Emperor.

Listening to her, Chu Linfeng gained new knowledge, wandering slowly in Sky-Spirit Valley. Extending his Divine Sense, he could not perceive the edge but discovered a location with significant energy fluctuations about a thousand miles away.

With a change in thought, Instant Teleportation quickly executed, Chu Linfeng arrived at the energy fluctuation location, discovering an immense stone platform, amplio reaching about a hundred meters in radius.

Its surface was exceedingly smooth, almost polished, yet it remained as a whole piece; such a gigantic stone Chu Linfeng had never seen before, leaving him astonished.

”This must be the Divine Ascension Platform, I wonder who established it, with such a massive stone, the creator of Ascension Platform must be a super powerful figure,” murmured Chu Linfeng.
