Nine Revolutions Star Transformation

Chapter 364: Chapter 375: Netherworld Purple Orchid

”You should know the principle of extremes, right? Thousands of years ago, a peculiar stone suddenly appeared here. Every time a new member of my Black Gold Race emerged, the stone would emit a light and destroy them.

This stone’s energy is incredibly powerful, and even I dare not stay here for long. If no new Black Gold Magical Beast appears, the stone will emit light every hour. Calculating the time, it should be about now,” the Black Gold King said helplessly.

Chu Linfeng had initially planned to slay this fellow with Fire Transformation upon obtaining the Ore Crystal, but hearing this, he felt their race was quite unfortunate.

As Chu Linfeng was about to speak, the Black Gold King hurriedly said, ”The stone is about to emit light; we must leave now.”

Chu Linfeng was startled and quickly used Shift Form and Shadow to rush back to the passageway, moving faster than the Black Gold King.

”Didn’t you say it would appear later? Why is it happening now?” Chu Linfeng asked suspiciously.

”I don’t know either. It’s been nearly hundreds of years since I last entered this place, and it’s the first time I’ve encountered such a situation,” said the Black Gold King.

At that moment, Chu Linfeng saw a dazzling white light appear before him, causing his eyes to sting as if pierced by something, making him unable to open them.

After several breaths, Chu Linfeng felt slightly better and opened his eyes, only to find that he was staring into a void, unable to see anything else, as if blinded; one side was pitch black, and the other was a white blur.

Startled by this, his heart was filled with panic. Had the intense light blinded him? This was his only thought at the moment.

”Lin Feng, don’t panic; you are just temporarily blinded. It will return to normal after a while. It’s quite surprising that a Sun Shining Stone would appear here,” said Sword Spirit.

”Sun Shining Stone? What kind of stone is it? Is it similar to a Star Crystal with powerful energy?” Chu Linfeng asked upon hearing his eyes were fine.

”Certainly not. The Sun Shining Stone is a very peculiar stone, perhaps as rare as a Star Crystal. It doesn’t have significant energy, but it emits intense light. This light has a powerful destructive force, especially against dark creatures.

The Black Gold Race is composed of Black Gold metal molecules, making them dark creatures or Magical Beasts. Naturally, the light from the Sun Shining Stone harms them, and newly formed Black Gold Magical Beasts are instantly annihilated,” explained Sword Spirit.

”This stone is of little use to me; I still hope to obtain the Ore Crystal,” Chu Linfeng said indifferently.

”You underestimate the Sun Shining Stone. If you were in the Netherworld, possessing one would make you a VIP, possibly even a City Lord,” Sword Spirit said.

”Netherworld? What is the Netherworld? I’ve never heard of it; I only know a realm called the Demon Realm. What is this Netherworld?” Chu Linfeng felt increasingly curious.

”The concept of the Netherworld is elusive; it can be considered an underground race. This race seldom appears in the outside world because they fear one thing: the sun, whose rays directly incinerate their bodies.

Only those in the Ninth Layer of Divine Martial Realm in the Netherworld can barely tolerate sunlight. Moreover, there’s nothing here worth their visit except the Star Stone.

Several hundred thousand years ago, the Netherworld’s people occasionally appeared on land. The Netherworld once hosted a powerful figure who surpassed the Saint Martial Realm. In a battle on the Divine Battlefield, he nearly annihilated top human and demon race experts, but he too was critically injured.

To prevent the Netherworld’s powerful figures from reappearing, top Saint Martial Realm experts from the human, demon, and demon races sealed the entrance to the Netherworld.

Unlocking this seal is extremely difficult, but it hasn’t been completely closed. In the Netherworld, there exists a unique plant, crucial for breaking through the Saint Martial Realm—the Netherworld Purple Orchid.

The Netherworld Purple Orchid can transform the Divine Star Pill inside a Ninth Layer Martial Artist into a Holy Star Pill, eventually allowing a breakthrough to the Saint Martial Realm.

Since the entrance to the Netherworld was sealed, the Netherworld Purple Orchid within the three major races has dwindled until the Green Frost Sect Master’s generation when it essentially went extinct, meaning no one has broken through to the Saint Martial Realm since that Divine Battlefield battle.

Even in the Canglan Ancient Land, it’s nearly impossible unless someone acquires the remaining Netherworld Purple Orchid; otherwise, they can’t surpass the Heaven and Earth Laws,” Sword Spirit explained.

Chu Linfeng again broadened his knowledge, especially knowledge directly related to himself. To break through to the Saint Martial Realm, he must obtain the Netherworld Purple Orchid, requiring entrance into the Netherworld by breaking the seal on its entrance—one thing linked to another.

Chu Linfeng felt disappointed and said, ”It seems impossible to break this seal; I was only able to reach the Ninth Layer of Divine Martial Realm. What about the Saint Martial Realm experts in the Divine Dragon Hall and Vermilion Bird Divine Hall? Did they break through because of the Netherworld Purple Orchid?”

”Correct, but entering the Netherworld isn’t impossible. The Sun Shining Stone is actually one of the items needed to break the seal. If you gather a few materials and people, you can unlock it and enter the Netherworld,” Sword Spirit stated.

The Black Gold King found it strange that Chu Linfeng hadn’t spoken for a long time. Had he been injured by the intense light?

”Hey, brother, are you hurt?” His voice carried a hint of concern.

”I’m fine; temporarily I can’t see clearly. I’ll rest for a while and everything will be okay,” Chu Linfeng finished, sitting down as if to practice. Yet he was eager to hear Sword Spirit Yue’er talk about the Netherworld.

”Then how can the seal on the Netherworld’s entrance be broken? Without the Saint Martial Realm’s strength, I can’t accomplish the tasks at hand!” Chu Linfeng said helplessly.

”Breaking the seal on the Netherworld is extremely difficult. You need to gather the Sun Shining Stone, Moonlight Stone, and Star Shining Stone. Among them, the Star Shining Stone is the hardest to obtain. Additionally, the Four Great Holy Beasts must simultaneously use their primal power to unlock the seal,” Sword Spirit explained.

”The Four Great Holy Beasts? Divine Dragon, Vermilion Bird, White Tiger, and Black Tortoise, right? That’s easy to manage!” Chu Linfeng said.

”It requires the Four Great Holy Beasts and human offspring. You, Lin Ruoxi, and Shangguan Hong, who possesses the White Tiger Bloodline. As for who has the Black Tortoise’s lineage, it’s unknown; you’ll need to search slowly,” Sword Spirit stated.

Chu Linfeng felt he had obtained another responsibility—to seek out the Black Tortoise’s inheritor—a task growing increasingly complex...
