Family Cultivation: I can see the prompts

642: Policy changes Yanyu worries (2-in-1 has been updated)Chapter 645: Policy Changes, Yanyu’s Worries (Two-in-one Update)

Above Qinglian Peak, all the Lin Family members were incredibly excited at this moment.

Every time the Lin Family Head was chosen, it was a matter of utmost importance to every Lin Family member.

There were often some changes.

Although the grand competition and ceremony just now had eased the conflicts between the various branches,

they were more eager for the Lin Family to introduce more policies that would allow them to receive fairer treatment.

After all, they had strongly supported the division into main and branch families back then.

Amidst everyone’s excitement, Lin Shiming looked at Lin Yanqing.

”Yanqing, aren’t you coming up?”

Lin Yanqing seemed a bit too excited, causing him to hesitate.

But then he nodded ecstatically and walked towards the stage.

Becoming the Lin Family Head and bearing the responsibility of the entire Lin Family was unexpected for him, but it was also a tremendous challenge.

Speaking of which, he was only at the Late Foundation Establishment Stage, while Lin Changxing was not only at the Early Violet Palace Stage but also had a Heavenly Spiritual Root, far surpassing him in all aspects.

Furthermore, with the Lin Family possessing the Taihan Secret Realm, Lin Changxing’s cultivation speed would continue to grow terrifyingly.

”Thank you, Seventh Grand Uncle, and also thank all the Lin Family members for your support,” Lin Yanqing said.

Beside him, Lin Changxing also walked onto the high platform.

He remained gentle and refined, and although there was still some disappointment in his eyes, he did not show the anger that other Cultivators often displayed in similar situations.

Putting everything else aside, Lin Shiming highly approved of this mindset.

And letting Lin Yanqing be the Family Head wasn’t truly because Lin Changxing was inferior to Lin Yanqing, but rather because Lin Changxing was more suited to stay on Tengmu Islands.

Staying next to the Taihan Secret Realm, which was a Fourth-tier Secret Realm, Lin Changxing could stay there until he formed his Golden Core.

No Cultivator in the Lin Family could surpass Lin Changxing, at least among their peers, so the Taihan Secret Realm was the place that could truly help him improve. Thus, the position of Family Head was not very suitable for him.

The example of Lin Yanjiao was the best proof now.

Lin Yanjiao was a Spirit Body with dual Spiritual Roots, and she was now at the Peak of the Early Violet Palace Stage.

And the Vice Family Head could also undertake decision-making.

”Changxing, after becoming the Vice Family Head, you will primarily lead the Tengmu Islands, and you must ensure that the Family’s territory on Tengmu Islands continues to expand!”

”At the same time, you will also manage the Hongmu Islands, and as for the branch Family heads in both locations, you will decide them!” Lin Shiming said.

”Yes, Seventh Grand Uncle!” Lin Changxing nodded.

Lin Shiming did not continue to explain; if Lin Changxing understood, then he understood. If not, he would let him comprehend it himself.

The affairs of the Lin Family ultimately needed to be handled by all Lin Family members; he could only control them from a macroscopic perspective.

If someone made a mistake, then it would be corrected.

After Lin Shiming finished his instructions, he took out a Jade Slip, which contained the arrangements for the Lin Family’s new policies.

Lin Yanqing took the Jade Slip and glanced at it, his expression subtly changing, as these policies involved too many changes.

After a while, he finally spoke:

”From today onwards, the Lin Family will abolish the birth rewards for Four Spiritual Roots and Five Spiritual Roots!”

As soon as this first sentence was uttered, the entire Lin Family erupted in an uproar, especially many Lin Family members who relied on having many children to support the most talented among them.

Lin Yanjiao and Lin Shiming had discussed this point.

Previously, it was because the Lin Family was in rapid development and needed as many Family members as possible.

But now, the Lin Family’s members already exceeded 30,000.

The Mortals also numbered in the tens of millions.

The number of Immortal Children born every three years was as high as six to seven hundred.

It no longer made sense to set up rewards for Four Spiritual Roots and Five Spiritual Roots Cultivators.

Of course, the murmurs of disapproval from everyone present showed that some Cultivators were dissatisfied.

”Second, for Cultivators who receive more than three times their salary, the Lin Family will increase their salary to four times. At the same time, in addition to the Cultivators who make progress in each grand competition, professionals such as Artifact Refiners, Formation Masters, Spirit Talisman Masters, Spirit Plant Masters, Spirit Inquirers, and Puppet Masters, who can surpass two stages, will all receive four times their salary!”

As soon as these words were spoken, the uproar grew even louder.

Clearly, the Lin Family intended to adopt an elite troop policy.

This was also the general trend, and in fact, many high-ranking Lin Family members could see it clearly.

The Lin Family was now a Nascent Soul Family, and the territory it occupied was already large enough, whether in the Eastern Region or the South Sea. If it wished to expand further, it would likely follow the old path of the Tai Gan Shark Clan and be attacked by all sides.

Therefore, instead of continuing to waste resources on expanding the population, it was better to integrate the Lin Family’s resources.

To enhance the resources for the excellent members of the Lin Family.

Moreover, the Lin Family did not solely focus on Spiritual Roots; it also valued talent in various skills, and talent in combat. Even if one cultivated quickly, they could still gain the Family’s recognition.

”Third, all Secret Realms of the Lin Family—Illusion Heart Pavilion, Sword Pavilion, and Yin-Yang Secret Realm—will be open to all Lin Family members, regardless of their branch. As long as they meet the qualifications to enter the Secret Realm, they can apply to enter at any time, and even the Spirit Stones for Teleportation will be covered by the Family!” Lin Yanqing continued.

As soon as these words were spoken, the discussions about the salary reform instantly subsided by more than half.

After all, most Lin Family members rarely valued birth rewards.

They cared more about their path forward.

And they highly approved of this plan from the Family.

After all, the Lin Family was even covering the Teleportation Spirit Stones, so the only difference between the main and branch families was the difference in Spiritual Veins.

That difference was actually not significant for Cultivators below the Purple Mansion Stage.

”In addition, the branch families will also establish a Hall of Teachings. All Lin Family Cultivators above the Purple Mansion Stage will take turns to preach and teach according to a specific order!” If before, it was the narrowing of the Secret Realm differences.

Now, it was the further narrowing of the gap in teaching resources.

The main Family would certainly have more Purple Mansion and Golden Core Cultivators, but if they took turns to preach and teach, there would be no need to worry about positions.

It would just mean that the Lin Family’s Purple Mansion and Golden Core Cultivators would have to give one or two more lectures.

”Fifth, all branch Family Cultivators of the Lin Family can participate in expansion, whether it is the expansion of the Eastern Region’s East Sea, or the expansion of Tengmu Islands, and also the expansion of Nine Dragon Island!”

As soon as these words were spoken, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Now, the resource disparities were also further narrowing.

Lin Yanqing saw this reaction. He had initially thought that the salary policy would cause a lot of unease, but that situation did not occur.

Instead, all Lin Family members seemed to be very supportive.

This made him look at Lin Shiming and Lin Zewen, and after receiving confirmation, he announced the last reform policy:

”Finally, from today onwards, any Lin Family member who creates additional value and is recognized by three Elders of the Lin Family can have the Family create a separate Sub-island for them and draw a suitable Spiritual Vein for their sole cultivation!”

If the previous reform policies were good news for low-level Cultivators of the Lin Family, then this was good news for high-level Cultivators.

Although the Lin Family had many main and Sub-islands, there were also too many Cultivators in the Lin Family. On Qinglian Peak now, there were over a hundred Immortal Caves opened, and that was even with restrictions, otherwise there would be more.

Although there were Formations for isolation, many Family members preferred tranquility. They also needed a place to research, whether it was cultivating secret techniques, or researching Pill Formulas, Formations, and so on.

A Cultivator having a separate island would grant them great autonomy, and because the Lin Family had a Void Gazer crystal ore vein, they could refine a Teleportation Array for them.

Of course, even without a Teleportation Array, one could fly there very quickly.

The key was that the Family would also gift a Spiritual Vein.

Of course, after the excitement, everyone also understood that having a Sub-island near the Lin Family’s Shuangmu Island was not an easy feat.

One must know that to be considered an Elder in the Lin Family now, one must be at the Golden Core Stage.

Purple Mansion Cultivators could at most be Deacon Elders, or positions like Hall Masters.

And out of the three Elders, Lin Shimo, who was dedicated to arduous cultivation, would also be excluded.

As the Family policies were issued, the entire Family meeting drew to a close, and at the same time, the last grand competition arrived.

Lin Shiming did not watch that grand competition again; it was left for the Lin Family’s Miscellaneous Affairs Hall to prepare, which was also for evaluating the new ten-year salary standards.

Lin Shiming walked into the Council Great Hall and waited. Soon, he saw Lin Changxing walk in.

Lin Changxing cupped his hands and bowed to Lin Shiming.

”Thank you, Seventh Grand Uncle, for your guidance. Changxing has understood what is important.”

”Oh, tell me?” Lin Shiming was also surprised at this moment, not expecting Lin Changxing to come forward to thank him proactively.

This was completely opposite to Lin Zekong back then.

Back then, Lin Zekong was extremely dissatisfied with his decision and even waited for him on the arena.

”Previously, this great-grandson had an obsession, but for Cultivators like us, the greatest enemy is ourselves. Only by cultivating diligently in the Taihan Secret Realm can I live up to the Lin Family’s support and maximize my abilities as your grandson,” Lin Changxing said clearly, without any pretense.

”The cold jade there is also suitable for you. At the same time, if you have the will, you can take another step forward in the sea domain!” Lin Shiming also said.

Lin Changxing was insightful, and he didn’t mind offering further guidance.

Lin Changxing had a Water Spiritual Root, which was almost the best Spiritual Root for the sea domain.

The entire ocean was Lin Changxing’s stage.

As soon as Lin Shiming spoke, Lin Changxing nodded. He suddenly thought of Lin Zewen.

In the Lin Family, strictly speaking, if it weren’t for Lin Yanjiao’s Spirit Body and high talent, which held extraordinary significance for the Lin Family, her importance might not necessarily surpass Lin Zewen’s.

For a Family, the Family Head was important, but expanding territory was even more important.

”Here’s a Fourth-tier top-grade Sky Whale Spear for you!” Lin Shiming took out a Magic Treasure and handed it to Lin Changxing.

This Magic Treasure was one he had once given to Wang Jiao, but Wang Jiao had now broken through to Fifth-tier and had already undergone a tribulation once, so the Sky Whale Spear could no longer unleash its full power.

”Thank you, Seventh Grand Uncle. Changxing will not fail you!” Lin Changxing cupped his hands, his eyes filled with excitement.

Lin Changxing had been guided in his cultivation by Lin Xianzhi since childhood, and his temperament was somewhat similar to Lin Shiming’s in the past.

Lin Shiming also nodded.

After Lin Changxing left, Lin Yanyu soon came over with Lin Changyu.

”Seventh Grand Uncle!”

”Seventh... Grand Uncle!” Lin Yanyu had met Lin Shiming many times, so he remained calm at this moment, but Lin Changyu appeared quite nervous.

She also didn’t know why Lin Shiming wanted to see her. One should know that there were twenty Spirit Beasts that stood out in this Lin Family Spirit Beast Grand Competition, and five of them were comparable to her Chi Yan Little Snake.

Therefore, she was worried that Lin Shiming would suddenly take away her Spirit Snake.

”Seventh Grand Uncle, Changyu has had a talent for communicating with beasts since childhood, and the Spirit Beasts that pass through her hands are always more intelligent.” Lin Changyu was extremely nervous and dared not speak. Lin Yanyu, however, stepped forward at this moment and spoke proactively.

Lin Shiming immediately smiled upon hearing this.

With this smile, Lin Yanyu also became a little nervous.

Although he had known about Lin Shiming’s character in the Eastern Region and had heard about him countless times, he was still a bit nervous.

That Chi Yan Xiao She was a Third-tier Early Stage Spirit Beast, yet it could rival a Third-tier Late Stage Yao Beast.

It was possible that he would truly be tempted.

”Don’t misunderstand. Don’t you want to know why the Lin Family calls itself a Jiaolong Family, and why Nine Dragon Island calls itself a Jiaolong Sect?” Lin Shiming asked with a smile.

”Why?” This time, it was Lin Changyu who asked.

Although Lin Changyu was only at the Qi Refining Stage Ninth Level, learning about the various forces in the Eastern Region and the South Sea was a compulsory course in the Lin Family’s Hall of Teachings.

However, this course only covered the superficial information of the various Sects.

”Because Nine Dragon Island has golden dragon fruit trees and a Jiaolong Nest, and our Lin Family also has them. The Jiaolong you saw during the day are all transformed from the Lin Family’s Spirit Snakes, Spirit Mangs, and your Chi Yan Xiao She also has this potential!” Lin Shiming said.

He did not conceal anything.

This Chi Yan Xiao She had true Dragon Bloodline, and Lin Changyu was also extraordinary. Lin Shiming was now at the Late Golden Core Stage, and his interest in taming Spirit Beasts was not great, so he would not forcefully contend for it.

Even if he reasoned with her, and she would agree, he still wouldn’t do it.

The process of transforming into a Jiaolong would take at least twenty years, so he had to tell Lin Changyu.

”This...” Lin Changyu still didn’t understand what this meant, but Lin Yanyu immediately knelt down.

”Seventh Grand Uncle, please forgive me. This grandson was impolite. I hope Seventh Grand Uncle will punish me, and also please ask Seventh Grand Uncle to erase my memory,” Lin Yanyu said.

”Don’t worry, all the high-ranking members of the Lin Family know this. This is also why our Lin Family has always called itself the Spirit Snake Family. This was to avoid Nine Dragon Island and the Sea Demon Royal Court, but they know almost everything now, so there’s no need to hide it anymore!” Lin Shiming waved his hand.

”Of course, I asked Changyu to come today not just for this matter. I also want Changyu to come to Shuangmu Island and join the Lin Family’s Spirit Beast Hall, responsible for raising some Spirit Beasts. If she raises them well, she will also receive four times her salary. At the same time, the Family will cover her Foundation Establishment Pill, Purple Mansion Jade Liquid, and even Core Formation Pill!”

As Lin Shiming’s words came out, even Lin Yanyu gasped.

”Changyu, why aren’t you thanking Seventh Grand Uncle? This is Seventh Grand Uncle fighting for resources for you!” Lin Yanyu, while grateful, continuously looked at Lin Changyu.

”Thank you, Seventh Grand Uncle!” Lin Changyu finally waved her hand.

Her face was still a little flustered; clearly, she needed some time to digest this news.

”Yanyu, take Changyu down. As for this matter, you just need to know it yourself. The Family’s Jiaolong plan cannot be fully implemented yet.”

Lin Shiming mentioned it briefly.

Lin Yanyu also nodded; the Jiaolong transformation plan would certainly have limited spots.

And at this moment, he also had an impulse to acquire a talented Spirit Snake.

After all, for Cultivators, who wouldn’t want to have a Jiaolong mount?

One must know that the Blue Jiaolong that Lin Yanjiao once rode had made him incredibly envious.

He had thought at the time that Lin Yanjiao had found it in a Secret Realm, but now it seemed they were all cultivated by the Family.

And it was at this moment that his anticipation for the Family grew even stronger.

He was also filled with yearning for the future path of Immortal Cultivation.
