Family Cultivation: I can see the prompts

98: This is learningWith such reforms to the Family’s stipends, even those who were previously dissatisfied had no complaints.

Since even Cultivators with Spiritual Roots could maintain their stipends, they were naturally willing.

Especially upon learning that having twin Spiritual Roots would grant three times the stipend for ten years, many Cultivators became even more fervent.

Some Cultivators even considered having Heavenly Spiritual Roots or Variant Spiritual Roots, as a lifelong triple stipend meant that even those with Four Spiritual Roots or Five Spiritual Roots could potentially reach the Qi Refining Stage Ninth Level, and perhaps even become an Elder.

At the same time, with this initiative, it was believed that some Cultivators in the Family would also begin to pursue Loose Cultivators or female Cultivators from other families. When Cultivators married Cultivators, the probability of giving birth to a Genius with Spiritual Roots would be slightly higher.

As for cases like Lin Shitao, whose parents were Mortals yet she possessed twin Spiritual Roots, such instances were, after all, one in a million.

With the Spiritual Roots and the Family’s spirit of advancement reformed, the next step was the distribution of Family affairs.

Lin Shiming was not satisfied with the Family’s generalized management; apart from the Demon Hunting Hall, there were no other overarching departments.

Furthermore, if there were more Qi Refining Stage Ninth Level Elders in the future, the lack of positions would also lead to a great deal of trouble.

Currently, the Family only had a few Elders from the Yu Generation who handled practical matters, and several Elders from the Hou Generation and Shi Generation who only focused on Cultivation.

With this in mind, Lin Shiming cleared his throat and spoke loudly again:

”As the Family’s Elders grow in number, I announce that from now on, the Family will distribute its affairs among various halls!”

”The halls will be divided into the Alchemy Hall, Weapon Crafting Hall, Demon Hunting Hall, Merit Hall, Commerce Hall, Law Enforcement Hall, and others!”

”The Law Enforcement Hall will be led by Grand Elder Lin Yuqing, the Alchemy Hall by Second Elder Lin Yuqi, the Weapon Crafting Hall by Fourth Elder Lin Yutie, the Demon Hunting Hall by Seventh Elder Lin Houyong, and the Commerce Hall by Fifth Elder Lin Yuzheng. The remaining Elders will serve as honorary Elders, enjoying the Elder’s stipend but not the Hall Master’s stipend!”

”At the same time, to allow Hall Masters time to Cultivate in their leisure, each Hall Master may appoint stewards to manage their respective halls!”

Below the stage, many people were once again extremely shocked. They had not expected that as soon as Lin Shiming became the Clan Chief...

He would implement such drastic reforms. The title of Hall Master Elder, in particular, caused the stipends of many honorary Elders to decrease significantly.

But at the same time, these honorary Elders would also have more time to Cultivate, and with time to Cultivate, they could also strive for a Breakthrough in their cultivation and receive Family rewards.

Someone like Lin Shijie, for example, could never be appointed as any Hall Master.

Of course, for Lin Shiming, clearly separating the various halls would also make his life easier in the future.

It would also not affect his personal Cultivation.

After the two relatively major announcements were made, today’s meeting did not begin with the usual announcement of the Family’s financial issues.

After all, given the Family’s recent increase in stipends, financial issues were certainly not a problem, and everyone believed this, so there was no need to emphasize the Family’s finances as was done at the clan meeting six years ago.

The remaining financial matters and the Family’s Alchemists and Artifact Refiners would be communicated among the various Elders.

What was gratifying was that over the past six years, not only had a second-tier High Grade Artifact Refiner appeared in the Family, but a second-tier High Grade Alchemist had also emerged.

As for why Lin Yuqi and Lin Yutie were not counted, the latter had already been categorized as a third-tier Alchemist and a third-tier Artifact Refiner.

The Family’s clan meeting lasted for a full two days before concluding.

After two days, the Lin Family entered an era of widespread diligent Cultivation; even those who were not ambitious began to practice unorthodox methods.

And Lin Shiming returned once again to his Immortal Cave by the Green Lotus Pond on Fangmu Mountain.

Every few days, Lin Xianzhi would share with Lin Shiming how to condense Spiritual Qi and how to refine Spiritual Qi.

To successfully Breakthrough to Foundation Establishment, there were three stages: the Illusion Stage, the True Essence Stage, and the Physical Body Stage.

The Illusion Stage tested a Cultivator’s mental fortitude. Lin Shiming had lived two lives, so he was not worried about this; it was also the easiest of the three Foundation Establishment stages.

The True Essence Stage was the most difficult of the three Foundation Establishment stages, with two main difficulties. The first was the transformation of spiritual power from a gaseous state to a liquid True Essence state, which was also the reason why most Cultivators could not Breakthrough.

If the Spiritual Qi and spiritual power were not sufficiently condensed, it might even be impossible to liquefy them, let alone completely transform them into True Essence.

The second was that the entire body’s Meridians had to withstand the spiritual might of True Essence. Liquid True Essence was naturally many times stronger than gaseous spiritual power.

Therefore, if the Meridians could not withstand it, it would also lead to Foundation Establishment failure, and in severe cases, direct death.

This was also why most Cultivators needed a Foundation Establishment Pill to Breakthrough to Foundation Establishment; it ensured that they could control True Essence and thus successfully achieve Foundation Establishment.

Even if Foundation Establishment failed, the medicinal power of the Foundation Establishment Pill would protect the Cultivator’s Meridians, with the worst outcome being injury, after which they could refine again and attempt Foundation Establishment once more.

The reason his father and his Fifth Uncle succeeded was that they had long struggled without a Foundation Establishment Pill and had continuously refined their Spiritual Qi, especially his Fifth Uncle, who had refined for nearly twenty years, which allowed him to Breakthrough to Foundation Establishment without major incident.

As for the third stage of the three Foundation Establishment stages, the Physical Body Stage, it involved True Essence infusing the body. For Qi Refining Cultivators, even those at the Qi Refining Stage Ninth Level, their spiritual power was far inferior to that of Foundation Establishment Cultivators. Even if completely transformed into True Essence, it would only be a small amount.

Naturally, this required True Essence infusing the body. This stage is also why there is a saying in the Cultivation world that if one does not achieve Foundation Establishment by sixty, they will never be able to.

Because after sixty, the body’s vital essence begins to degenerate, and attempting Foundation Establishment at this point would inevitably lead to being unable to withstand it and exploding, with no other possibilities.

Lin Shiming currently had a Foundation Establishment Pill, had planted Soul Nurturing Flowers, and both the Purple Wood Heart Sutra and the Heavenly Wood Spirit Planting Secret Method made Lin Shiming’s spiritual power incredibly condensed, far more so than that of an ordinary Qi Refining Stage Ninth Level Cultivator... Inside the pavilion, Lin Shiming circulated the Purple Wood Heart Sutra within his body, while Lin Xianzhi stood behind him.

”Shiming, just circulate it. I’ll help you check it!”

Seeing this, Lin Shiming said nothing more and immediately began to circulate the Purple Wood Heart Sutra to condense Spiritual Qi. Even though he had System prompts, he still wanted to see if he could still improve. For him, the sooner he finished refining his Spiritual Qi, the better, as it would allow him to achieve Foundation Establishment earlier.

Only by achieving Foundation Establishment earlier could he have enough lifespan to strive for the Purple Mansion!

Now that he had the Minor Divine Power Fruit, wouldn’t it be a pity not to enter the Purple Mansion and see?

However, after he began circulating it, Lin Xianzhi behind him became increasingly alarmed the more he watched.

Because he discovered that Lin Shiming’s condensation of spiritual power was completely flawless.

In fact, in some areas, he admitted that he was inferior to Lin Shiming, which caused his brows to furrow tighter and tighter. He realized that this was not guidance; this was learning!

Lin Shiming had just completed a small cycle of Spiritual Qi condensation. Seeing that Lin Xianzhi hadn’t spoken, he was immediately a little confused, but when his Divine Sense scanned behind him, he couldn’t help but smile wryly.

It seemed he had underestimated the System. His System prompts, when not encountering treasures, would generally improve his Cultivation Technique and also improve his Spiritual Qi condensation techniques.

Seeing this, Lin Shiming had no choice but to intentionally make a few small errors in his subsequent circulations, otherwise, his Seventh Grand Uncle’s face would likely become even more awkward.

At the same time, Lin Shiming also inexplicably remembered the flaws of the Purple Wood Heart Sutra. The Purple Profound Elder taking him as a Named Disciple yet still imparting a flawed Cultivation Technique—this intention, he could now just tell his Seventh Grand Uncle about it.
