Cultivation is just so scientific!

Chapter 1766 - 929: Continuation_2

Given the current situation of the Yuqing Sect, although there are still more than ten thousand cultivators, those affected by the radiation have no future.

As long as the Yuqing Sect lacks support and no new disciples join, there’s no need for an attack. The cultivators of the Yuqing Sect will gradually diminish until only their empty mountain gate remains.

Even if Great Power Luo Yuan were still around, there would be nothing he could do but watch.

Only a Great Power can understand another Great Power. Great Power Xuan Yi naturally knows the battle strength Great Power Luo Yuan unleashed during the explosion, and how much it consumed him.

Great Power Luo Yuan is utterly unable to compete with Great Power Xuan Yi in terms of energy expenditure; Xuan Yi is at his peak, while Luo Yuan is heavily drained.

At that moment, Great Power Luo Yuan’s avatar seemed to sense something. He looked into the distance, and in the void tens of thousands of miles away, the avatar of Great Power Xuan Yi was also looking in this direction, each sensing the other’s presence across the vast distance.

Great Power Xuan Yi paid no mind to Great Power Luo Yuan, not even intending to make a move.

This time, among the cultivators dispatched to block the mountain gate of the Yuqing Sect, only a few were Nascent Soul Middle Stage practitioners from the White Emperor Sect; the others were gathered by the White Emperor Sect.

White Emperor Sect’s cultivators were not stationed near the Yuqing Sect’s mountain gate but were dispersed throughout the West Yan Continent, taking over all of Yuqing Sect’s resource points and affiliated cultivator gathering areas.

They began a large-scale purge of the Yuqing Sect cultivators, with the aim that apart from the mountain gate, there would be no Yuqing Sect cultivators left on the West Yan Continent.

What a rare opportunity, the White Emperor Sect could leverage its geographical advantage to devour Yuqing Sect’s resources. It was a chance to expand its influence and enhance its own strength.

Such opportunities related to superpowers cannot be missed if encountered.

Great Power Xuan Yi was unconcerned about Great Power Luo Yuan making moves against the cultivators hovering around the Yuqing Sect mountain gate; each action would only further deplete Luo Yuan’s already dwindling strength.

After obtaining intelligence on the Yuqing Sect from insiders, the White Emperor Sect launched this campaign against them.

A superpower without Great Cultivators, with only a handful of Nascent Soul Middle Stage practitioners besides Great Power Luo Yuan, could no longer maintain the battle strength of a superpower.

This made the Yuqing Sect a juicy target. While other powers on the West Yan Continent might hesitate, the White Emperor Sect, also possessing a Great Power, was well aware of the situation of the Yuqing Sect and Great Power Luo Yuan, so they acted without hesitation.

”Xuan Yi, fight me!” Great Power Luo Yuan’s avatar blinked out of existence, flying towards Great Power Xuan Yi’s avatar while issuing a battle declaration.

”Luo Yuan, amuse yourself for a while. I’ll fight you in the future!” Great Power Xuan Yi’s avatar laughed as he retreated, not intending to engage in battle.

Great Power Luo Yuan’s avatar could not catch up with Great Power Xuan Yi’s avatar. He surveyed the surroundings of the Yuqing Sect’s mountain gate and found a large number of cultivators encircling it.

These cultivators kept a certain distance from the mountain gate, which was understandable; the mountain gate and its vicinity were heavily polluted by radiation, making normal cultivators reluctant to approach.

He wanted to vent his anger on the cultivators surrounding the gate, but seeing their identities and cultivation levels, he discarded that idea.

Among these cultivators, the strongest were only Nascent Soul Middle Stage and not from the White Emperor Sect.

He even identified cultivators from forces once affiliated with the Yuqing Sect, likely having sided with the White Emperor Sect, though it was unclear if willingly or through coercion.

In truth, with the power of Great Power Luo Yuan’s avatar, it wouldn’t take long to kill these cultivators.

Yet, even if he did, it would have no effect on the White Emperor Sect, while he would waste valuable energy.

Every action consumed energy from his Grotto Heaven, which had already been significantly depleted from previous battles.

The daily needs of over ten thousand Yuqing Sect cultivators had to be supplied from his Grotto Heaven, making further wastage unfeasible.

Great Power Luo Yuan’s avatar dejectedly returned to the Yuqing Sect mountain gate; rebuilding the gate was the only solution, as even dealing with the blockade held little practical value without it.

Moreover, the Yuqing Sect indeed lacked the strength to confront the White Emperor Sect, let alone its subordinate forces, which could already seal off the Yuqing Sect mountain gate.

On the Dongqi Continent, Li Shiming read the intelligence report and couldn’t help but shake his head.

Unexpectedly, after all his efforts and at the cost of a ’Great Dragon’s Fury’ that would take a hundred years to create, he achieved nothing.

It benefited the White Emperor Sect instead, allowing them to seize a significant portion of the West Yan Continent’s resources.

Of course, the White Emperor Sect couldn’t swallow all the profits left by the Yuqing Sect’s absence; other superpowers had long set their sights on the Yuqing Sect. The White Emperor Sect, being closest, just seized the most advantage.

Other superpowers each claimed portions of the benefits, particularly Yuqing Sect’s cross-continental commercial channels, which were divided among the superpowers of the Central State Continent.

Although he gained no profit, Li Shiming was quite satisfied.

Because he learned from intelligence that Great Power Luo Yuan of the Yuqing Sect would be unable to trouble him for at least the next few centuries.

The mountain gate of Yuqing Sect was blocked by the White Emperor Sect; although this blockade couldn’t prevent Great Power Luo Yuan’s avatar from leaving, under these circumstances, he dared not expend much energy on a cross-continental assault on Li Shiming.

Unless convinced that Li Shiming was the culprit behind the attack on the Yuqing Sect mountain gate, perhaps then would Great Power Luo Yuan take drastic action against him.

Upon realizing this, Li Shiming finally felt at ease.

Though he possessed a teleportation ring and had long prepared an escape route for Yin Shilan, and had monitoring drones deployed over the Dongqi Continent, the relief of having no threat was far preferable to being under constant surveillance by a Great Power.

Of course, he did not completely relax about Yuqing Sect’s situation; he even commissioned the Ten Thousand Beast Sect to establish a new intelligence network on the West Yan Continent.

He needed to at least keep up with the movements on the West Yan Continent, unable to solely rely on intelligence from other forces, as that was too passive.

Moreover, this intelligence network had another crucial task: collecting data on the body conditions of Yuqing Sect cultivators.

This was for the ’Great Dragon’s Fury’ data; after the explosion of ’Great Dragon’s Fury,’ without precise knowledge of the situation inside the Yuqing Sect mountain gate, much data remained uncollected.

He needed data on the impact of the radiation pollution on the cultivators after the explosion of ’Great Dragon’s Fury.’

He didn’t completely rely on his own intelligence for this task, instead leveraging various connections to request assistance from cooperating superpowers.

While this request was peculiar, considering his enmity with the Yuqing Sect, his interest in the Yuqing Sect cultivators’ details wasn’t surprising.

In the following years, data was continually aggregated from various places.

Ten years passed, and among the Qi Refinement Realm and Foundation Establishment Stage cultivators of the Yuqing Sect, over half had perished, while those surviving suffered various strange mutations.

The Golden Core cultivators fared somewhat better; only a few perished due to radiation pollution, but physical mutations still occurred. Many Golden Core cultivators experienced significantly reduced sensitivity to spiritual energy, equivalent to a drop in cultivation talent.

Nascent Soul cultivators also faced significant troubles; their bodies, though robust, exhibited slight spiritual energy rejection phenomena under radiation pollution.

This inhibited Nascent Soul cultivators from further enhancing their strength. With poor cultivation environments and a lack of resources, even maintaining their realm was challenging.
