Cultivation is just so scientific!

Chapter 1597: Chapter 845: Clone

Li Shiming was in the Treasure Lotus Hall of the Heavenly Person Cave Heaven, preparing to condense an energy clone today.

This is something many Great Cultivators do; an energy clone can perform almost half the tasks of a Great Cultivator and can represent them.

’Heavenly Human Technique’ doesn’t have a Secret Technique for energy clones, but regarding energy clone Secret Techniques, he acquired many, including those of Daoist cultivators, Devil Cultivators, and Buddhist Practitioners.

He chose a Clone Secret Method from the Ten Thousand Beast Sect called ’Phantom Clone.’

’Phantom Clone’ is not a top-tier Secret Technique; in fact, the end result of all energy clone Secret Techniques is pretty much the same.

Even Nascent Soul Middle Stage Cultivators can use ’Phantom Clone,’ but the mental slicing will affect their future cultivation, which is why nearly no Nascent Soul Middle Stage Cultivators will condense an energy clone.

Great Cultivators are different; at their level, their spirit is strong enough, and in later stages understanding the rules is more important, so the mental slicing has minimal impact.

Of course, the sliced spirit can return to the main body after retrieving the energy clone.

But if the energy clone is destroyed outside, the sliced spirit will be gone forever.

Li Shiming recalled the contents of the ’Phantom Clone’ Secret Technique, and instead of using his primary brain’s spirit, he chose a different brain and sliced the spirit from that brain.

Because the spirit was not sliced from his primary brain, he was unaffected during the most difficult spirit slicing step of the ’Phantom Clone’ Secret Technique.

Under normal circumstances, even a Great Cultivator must endure soul pain when slicing the spirit; it’s a pain that penetrates the soul.

Slicing the spirit is equivalent to slicing the soul.

With the brain transformed from his life-bound artifact IBMz15’s CPU, it acts like a virtual soul, and by blocking the perception of that brain, he can slice the spirit without any impact.

A mass of spirit separated from the brain, and this physical separation doesn’t affect the mental connection with the brain.

Li Shiming extracted ’Chaotic Spiritual Power’ from his Nascent Soul and injected it into this spirit mass, letting the ’Chaotic Spiritual Power’ mix with the spirit, forming a substance similar to Nascent Soul Infant Fluid.

He then activated the ’Phantom Clone’ Secret Technique, and the mix of ’Chaotic Spiritual Power’ and spirit slowly transformed into a human shape.

Internally, the skeletal structure, muscles, and organs appeared one by one, all naturally formed by the spirit power mix, yet they have corresponding functions.

Li Shiming sliced one-fifth of a brain’s spirit, and after the spirit was sliced, unless the ’Phantom Clone’ is retrieved, he will indeed lose one-fifth of his spirit.

This is the maximum limit for slicing spirit in ’Phantom Clone’ Secret Technique; few Great Cultivators slice so much spirit.

It’s important to know that slicing one-fifth of the spirit means losing one-fifth of the total spirit, which cannot be replenished.

No matter the efforts to enhance spirit, only the other four-fifths can be improved.

If a Great Cultivator did slice one-fifth of their spirit, and the ’Phantom Clone’ was destroyed outside, their strength would drastically fall.

It might even cause permanent damage, hence Great Cultivators do not slice so much spirit.

Li Shiming is indifferent, as losing this one-fifth of spirit has minimal impact on him.

In front of him appeared a nearly identical semi-transparent body.

The one-fifth spirit now comes into effect; by focusing his mind on the sliced brain, two visions appear, one belonging to the ’Phantom Clone.’

The ’Phantom Clone’ looked down at its body and was dissatisfied.

As the ’Chaotic Spiritual Power’ transformed, part of it converted into Body Refinement energy, making the body less transparent and quickly turning into a solid form.

On the surface of the ’Phantom Clone,’ a small amount of ’Chaotic Spiritual Power’ changed again, producing a robe.

The ’Phantom Clone’ rarely uses magical artifacts; being entirely energy-based, unless carrying a life-bound artifact and energyizing it, the movement advantage of the ’Phantom Clone’ is lost.

Li Shiming thought for a moment and tossed an empty soul crystal ring to the ’Phantom Clone,’ regarding magical artifacts, he found a top-level fourth-grade ’Heavenly Strike Thunder Hammer.’ This was a life-bound artifact belonging to a Great Cultivator from Yuqing Sect.

After being devoured by the Heavenly Ghost, the ownership imprint within the life-bound artifact was thoroughly erased.

He then examined the ’Phantom Clone’s’ capacity and inserted the ’Divine Foot Skill’ Divine Power Rune, and ’Thunder Rule Imprint’ into its body.

This is the maximum capacity of the ’Phantom Clone’; another rune imprint will cause it to collapse.

He’s fortunate, as the ’Phantom Clone’ is comprised of one-fifth spirit and ’Chaotic Spiritual Power,’ and his strong spirit coupled with the special nature of ’Chaotic Spiritual Power’ allows for accommodating a divine power rune and a rule imprint.

It’s worth noting that even for Great Cultivators, many have only one rule imprint within their Nascent Soul.
