Cultivation is just so scientific!

Chapter 1093: Chapter 593: Accepting the Assignment

After Master Liu Ziyun left, Grandmaster Hu personally escorted him out of the cave residence, and Li Shiming was left behind by Grandmaster Hu, clearly indicating that Grandmaster Hu wanted to speak with Li Shiming alone.

”Sit down anywhere!” Grandmaster Hu said with a wave of his hand after returning to the cave residence once he had seen his guest off.

Li Shiming sat down, waiting for Grandmaster Hu’s instructions.

”Actually, I didn’t want you to join Central State Commerce!” Grandmaster Hu’s first words made Li Shiming a bit uneasy.

Li Shiming had clearly seen how Grandmaster Hu behaved while Master Liu Ziyun was present, and it was not as indifferent as his words now suggested.

Grandmaster Hu evidently approved of Li Shiming becoming a Guest Elder of Central State Commerce, otherwise how could Li Shiming have chosen to join Central State Commerce and become a Guest Elder without knowing much about it!

With his alchemy skills, he would receive the best treatment at any commerce, so why would he choose a commerce he was unfamiliar with?

”I’m not saying joining Central State Commerce is bad, on the contrary, Central State Commerce is a superpower spanning continents, and joining it will benefit your future development, but its enemies are also superpowers; if trouble arises, it will be a huge problem!” Grandmaster Hu continued.

”Master, is Central State Commerce even stronger than the Ten Thousand Beast Sect?” Li Shiming asked curiously when he heard Grandmaster Hu say Central State Commerce was a superpower.

He knew that the Ten Thousand Beast Sect was regarded as a major sect, while Central State Commerce was called a superpower, but he didn’t know how exactly the division between powers was made.

The strongest forces he had seen were ’Sword Intent Chongxiao Pavilion’ and the Ten Thousand Beast Sect, but his time with both sects was short, and he hadn’t fully understood their power.

Even so, through some information, he knew that ’Sword Intent Chongxiao Pavilion’ and Ten Thousand Beast Sect were extremely formidable.

Organizations like the Ten Thousand Beast Sect had five Great Cultivators apparent on the surface; whether there were more in secret was unknown, and ’Sword Intent Chongxiao Pavilion’ was even stronger.

”Central State Commerce has great powers, incomparable to the Ten Thousand Beast Sect!” Grandmaster Hu shook his head with a bitter smile.

Li Shiming was taken aback; he hadn’t expected Central State Commerce to have powerful cultivators.

He had always regarded powerful cultivators as mere legends, only to realize that a superpower is a force that possesses such beings.

”Joining Central State Commerce, you must not act impulsively. Although Central State Commerce is powerful, its business dealings are overbearing and have offended many forces!” Grandmaster Hu continued.

”I understand, Master!” Li Shiming nodded in agreement.

”I truly couldn’t refuse, and I owe Liu Ziyun a great favor, so it’s ended up with you repaying it for me!” Grandmaster Hu finally explained.

Li Shiming bade farewell to Grandmaster Hu and returned to his own cave residence.

In the cave residence, he took out the meeting gift given by Master Liu Ziyun.

The top-grade fourth-grade Mountain Peak Type Magical Treasure was made using top-grade fourth-grade earth element refining material, Four-direction Stone, which has indivisibility.

The indivisibility of the Four-direction Stone is extremely unique, and its size is determined by its formation time.

No matter how large the Four-direction Stone is, it counts as only one piece of refining material.

Once a portion is cut from a Four-direction Stone, it loses its spiritual essence upon leaving the main material, becoming ordinary matter.

The top-grade fourth-grade Mountain Peak Type Magical Treasure in the jade box was made from a massive piece of Four-direction Stone.

Li Shiming acquired considerable artifact refining heritage, particularly the Hundred Refinement Sect’s inheritance, which raised his knowledge of artifact refining to an extraordinary level.

Even though he had the method to refine a Mountain Peak Type Magical Treasure within his artifact refining heritage, he did not immediately refine the rough prototype but had his natal magical artifact, IBM z15, establish a research topic.

He knew how rare top-grade fourth-grade materials were and didn’t want to waste the opportunity to refine the most powerful fourth-grade Mountain Peak Treasure from the rough prototype he had obtained.

Li Shiming had the IBM z15 analyze and research while he took out the Guest Official Jade Plate.

The Guest Official Jade Plate was very comprehensive, but it had only two contacts: one was Master Liu Ziyun, and the other was a specialist named Xin Jingyun.

The Guest Official Jade Plate could also accept tasks, and all the tasks available to him were alchemy tasks, with no other tasks available.

Evidently, Central State Commerce intended to position him mainly for alchemy without utilizing his other abilities.

Of course, a superpower with Mahayana Realm great power wouldn’t particularly care about the combat strength of a Nascent Soul Early Stage Practitioner.

Li Shiming currently had no contribution points, so he couldn’t see the resources and cultivation techniques available for exchange with contribution points.

He checked the alchemy tasks and surprisingly found that the alchemy tasks covered each continent, not just Dongqi Continent.

He could accept all these alchemy tasks, but it was noted that cross-continental acceptance would require waiting for resource transportation, taking a year to receive alchemy materials.

Upon completing the alchemy, it would also take a year to receive the corresponding reward.

He singled out the task of refining Fourth-grade Spirit Pills for Great Cultivators from the alchemy tasks, contemplating before choosing the task of refining Fourth-grade Spirit Pills for Great Cultivators from Dongqi Continent.

As a Guest Elder, he was required to complete three Great Cultivator alchemy tasks annually, so he planned to finish them early to ensure time wasn’t a constraint later on.
