Cultivation is just so scientific!

Chapter 412: Chapter 252: Corpse Refining_2

As long as he let his main body get close, he believed that even a cultivator at the half-step Golden Core who practiced Foundation Establishment would not be able to defeat his main body in close combat.

Li Shiming’s role for his clone, Li Yuanba, was to be in charge of fighting, to enhance his main body’s battle experience and solve some troubles for his main body.

While Li Shiming was thinking about these things, he took out some materials for Corpse Refining from his Space Ring.

He was already at the late-stage of Foundation Establishment and could take the Iron Corpses from the Corpse Refining space within the Space Ring for his own use, completely refining all the Iron Corpses.

Additionally, the body of the Jue Tu Buddha could also be refined into a corpse, becoming a force to aid him.

He did not take out the body of the Jue Tu Buddha, but laid down a Corpse Refining Array within the Corpse Refining space of the Space Ring, and began the refining ritual on the Jue Tu Buddha’s corpse.

The Jue Tu Buddha had cultivated the path of killing to become a Buddha and had reached the strength of a half-step Golden Core.

Even Elder Lv of the Senluo Sect valued the body of the Jue Tu Buddha greatly, and immediately prepared it for refining after killing the Jue Tu Buddha.

Previously, Li Shiming did not understand much about Elder Lv, but after obtaining Elder Lv’s Space Ring and discovering the Corpse Refining space within, he was certain that Elder Lv was a Golden Core Elder of the Senluo Sect who excelled in Corpse Refining.

In the Corpse Refining space, there were ten Peak Iron Corpses ready for refining, as well as one Silver Corpse. If Elder Lv were given more time to elevate all ten Peak Iron Corpses to Silver Corpses, his strength would be greatly enhanced.

A single Silver Corpse is equivalent to a Golden Core cultivator, perhaps far behind a true Golden Core cultivator in long-range attacks and magical techniques, but in defensive power and close combat abilities, it is enough to suppress cultivators of the same Golden Core Stage.

If the number of Silver Corpses were to rise to eleven, then any Golden Core cultivator would be in great trouble when facing so many Silver Corpses.

Li Shiming refined and claimed the body of the Jue Tu Buddha as his own, and after it was successful, he left it in the Corpse Refining space to grow by absorbing the Yin Cold Power within that space.

After the Jue Tu Buddha’s body was turned into a corpse, it was directly an Iron Corpse, and its defensive power and destructive power far exceeded that of a normal Iron Corpse. Even in his perception, it was almost on par with Jiang Chen.

It should be known that Jiang Chen was the corpse of the Golden Core Sword Cultivator Yun Xingyi, refined into a corpse. Due to the limitations of Li Yuanba’s strength, even after being made into a Life-bound Corpse Refinement, Jiang Chen’s strength was only reduced to that equivalent to a Peak of late-stage Foundation Establishment Iron Corpse.

However, after becoming a corpse, Jue Tu Buddha’s defensive and attack powers matched Jiang Chen’s even without reaching the Peak Iron Corpse stage, showcasing the huge potential of the Jue Tu Buddha Iron Corpse, even surpassing that of Jiang Chen.

“From now on, you’ll be called ‘Killer Buddhi’,” Li Shiming decided as he sensed the Iron Corpse of Jue Tu Buddha in the Corpse Refining space. Such an Iron Corpse deserved to have a name.

Moreover, he would not modify the body of Killer Buddhi, because the reason why it was so formidable was the changes induced by the Sword Intent, which was the main reason.

Even though Jue Tu Buddha was dead, the influence of a hundred years of cultivation to become a Buddha through killing would not vanish with death. After being transformed by the Corpse Refining, the Sword Intent became the foundational power of Killer Buddhi, the Iron Corpse.

Li Shiming had learned from the “Moonlight Corpse Scroll” and received the complete Corpse Refining inheritance of Elder Lv. He had his own understanding of the transformation of Jue Tu Buddha into Killer Buddhi, the Iron Corpse.

Originally, Corpse Refining turned them into creatures that delighted in killing, and Jue Tu Buddha, who had cultivated the Sword Intent into Buddha, had transformed the Sword Intent in his body into every part of Killer Buddhi, the Iron Corpse, through refinement.

If the records on the “Moonlight Corpse Scroll” were correct, in the future, Killer Buddhi, the Iron Corpse, could continue to strengthen his Sword Intent through constant killing, completing Jue Tu Buddha’s unfulfilled path of becoming a Buddha through killing in another way.

Of course, ultimately, Killer Buddhi, the Iron Corpse that relied on Sword Intent for improvement, would certainly not become a Buddha, but instead would likely become a demon through killing.

Li Shiming then began to refine each of the ten Peak Iron Corpses in the Corpse Refining space one by one. The corpses within the Corpse Refining space were very quiet, and even after losing their original master, they remained in a dormant state.

His refinement had gone very smoothly, not encountering even the slightest resistance.

Having collected eleven Iron Corpses in one fell swoop, plus Nezha, that made for a total of twelve Iron Corpses. Had it not been for the fact that his spirit had long surpassed the level of peak late-stage Foundation Establishment cultivators, he estimated he would likely be in a state of severe headache by now.

Even so, he still felt a slight burden on his spirit.

Nevertheless, looking at the twelve Iron Corpses that belonged to him in the Corpse Refining space, a smile appeared on his face.

Currently, among the twelve Iron Corpses, ten were at the peak of Iron Corpse strength. Although the Killing Iron Corpse had not reached the peak, it possessed the combat strength of a Peak Iron Corpse.

Only Nezha remained at the Iron Corpse Middle Stage, this being due to the fact that Li Shiming had just broken through. It was expected that in the Corpse Refining space of the Space Ring, constantly absorbing Yin Cold Power, the realm could be raised rather quickly.

In fact, Elder Lv’s corpse had not yet been refined, but Li Shiming would not consider refining Elder Lv’s corpse at the Foundation Establishment stage because the corpse of a Golden Core cultivator had a chance of transforming into a Silver Corpse.

He would wait until his own realm reached the Golden Core Stage before considering the refinement of Elder Lv’s corpse.

Thinking back on the refinement of Yun Xingyi’s corpse, it now seemed somewhat regrettable; considering Yun Xingyi’s body became a Peak Iron Corpse upon refinement, if he had refined it during the Golden Core Stage, there was a good chance he would have obtained a Silver Corpse.

After acknowledging all the Iron Corpses as his, Li Shiming’s task was far from over, as he had a detailed plan for Corpse Refining.

He took one Iron Corpse into the machine room space. Having acknowledged the owner, the Iron Corpse was completely under his control and there was no need to worry about anything.

Utilizing a Third Grade Sword Base as a scalpel once again, and using the corpses of Foundation Establishment cultivators brought by his clone Li Yuanba as material, he began surgical modification on this Iron Corpse to equip it with three heads and six arms.

The defensive power of a Peak Iron Corpse was terrifyingly strong. During the surgery, Li Shiming had to let his clone, Li Yuanba, who was also in the machine room space, imbue the Third Grade Sword Base with Sword Intent to facilitate the surgery.

With the prior experience of modifying Nezha, the transformation of this Iron Corpse was not a challenge, and with his now greatly increased strength, he finished the modification in just two hours.

The newly modified Three-headed and Six-armed Iron Corpse was stored in the Corpse Refining space of the Space Ring and placed within the Netherworld Ghost Realm Array in the Corpse Refining space, where it received dual nourishment from the Ghost Domain and the corpse refining space’s self-generated Yin Cold Energy.

This was only the first one; afterwards, Li Shiming sent the Iron Corpses one by one into the machine room space for surgery, and one after another, the three-headed and six-armed Peak Iron Corpses were sent into the Corpse Refining space for nourishment.

In one day’s time, excluding the Killing Iron Corpse, the appearance of the rest of the Iron Corpses had changed.

The Three-headed and Six-armed Iron Corpses currently could not yet form combat power. They needed to absorb Yin Cold Energy for a while to allow the newly added parts to also transform into part of the Iron Corpse before they could possess combat power.

After finishing all these tasks, Li Shiming also performed cosmetic surgery on the Killing Iron Corpse. Although the appearance of the Killing Iron Corpse had drastically changed after becoming an Iron Corpse, cultivators familiar with Jue Tu Buddha could still recognize its original form.

Li Shiming was a True Inheritor of the righteous Shushan Sect, allied with Qianye Temple; he could not afford to give Qianye Temple any leverage.

Therefore, changing the appearance of the Killing Iron Corpse became a necessity. Although the surgery was simpler, it was, due to the defensive power of the Killing Iron Corpse, ultimately performed by clone Li Yuanba, who had to mobilize all Sword Intent and Spiritual Power, wielding a Third Grade Sword Base to barely complete the task.

Li Yuanba was capable of delivering a strike that could circumvent the defensive power of a peak late-stage Foundation Establishment cultivator, and found it particularly challenging to break the facial skin of the Killing Iron Corpse.

Fortunately, it was just breaking the facial skin, where muscular tissue was lacking, and since there were no particular requirements for the facial features, the surgery ultimately just involved adding several bone plates to completely alter the contours of the Killing Iron Corpse’s face to complete the operation.

One could imagine, in a true battle, how difficult it would be for a Foundation Establishment cultivator to break through the defensive power of a Killing Iron Corpse.
