Chapter 6042, Two Meances

Author: Silavin

The distance from where they originally were was considerable. It took them more than a whole day of travel before they could hear the panic voices of ‘their’ people.

Yang Ji sends out his Divine Sense, concentrating it in the direction of the sound, to discover multiple people frantically rushing about. Due to the darkness around him, he could not visually see into the distance. However, he could sense that something was off with how they were acting.

Mo Na Ye was naturally the first to notice the strange condition at the frontlines. His expression turned dark as his eyes narrowed. Unable to hold back, or delay for another second, he warned the kids, “Hold on tight. I’m speeding up.”

Yang Xu and Yang Ji immediately felt their hearts jump into their throat. They quickly got on all fours, using their Qi to hold onto the piece of ‘earth’ beneath them.

Their instinct proved correct as in the next moment, they sped off even quicker than before. They whizzed past the air so quickly that those sounds of panic turned muffed, and any speech between them would be impossible.

Behind them were the remnants of Mo Na Ye’s power. Once the Royal Lord rooted himself into the ground using Black Ink Strength, a black jet flashed out from the arms directed behind him.

In seconds, they have covered what would have been minutes. Furthermore, they need not even step out of the ground beneath them. Mo Na Ye took complete liberty to swift his body lower and make the whole site leave the Capillary.

Before they knew it, they had already flown over the sounds beneath, and into enemy territory.

*Bang!*

The ground beneath them had crashed, with Mo Na Ye taking precaution to use his Black Ink Strength to wrap around the kids before it did.

This could be said to be one reason why Mo had them train, so that Mo Na Ye could use his powers on them without them getting affected by it.

The second would be what faced them next.

While still trying to catch up with the changes of event, Yang Ji and Yang Xu both took in a large breath. Never had they missed their ability to tear through Space as much as they did now.

Through their Divine Sense, Yang Ji asked, “You okay?”

Yang Xu had many things to say, but she chose to keep them in at this moment, as they regained her bearings. “Yeah…”

“*Huuu…* Me too, thankfully…” Yang Ji showed a face of relief that the whole ordeal had been over. However, that quickly shifted as he felt the ground tremble.

“Wait. What’s going on?” Shocked, Yang Ji asked Mo Na Ye as he immediately grabbed his Sister as they both retreated to the air, hovering about ten metres from the ground.

“We are in enemy territory. It is devour or be devoured here.” Mo Na Ye said as he joined up with the twins and pointed to the platform they were on earlier.

The detached piece of land, made of Black Ink Strength, had started showing signs of cracking. From these cracks seeped through another power, also Black Ink Strength. However, this Black Ink Strength seemed to be eroding the piece of land, slowly breaking it down as though digesting it.

It did not take long before what they once stood on had completely disappeared, enveloped by another type of Black Ink Strength.

Yang Ji and Yang Xu were both taken aback by this sight. But, they were quick to realise that this must be what the war had been about – devour or be devoured. It was pretty much the same reason why their Uncle Eleven had come.

In too much of a rush to care about their thoughts, Mo Na Ye pointed to behind them, where they had come from. “We are at the backlines now. Perfect for you two to start. Like mentioned before, I’ll keep you two safe. Just keep blasting your Purifying Light on the ground.”

That statement had snapped them out of their thoughts as they gave a firm nod.

Yang Ji and Yang Xu both took action. In a flash, Blue and Yellow Crystals appeared in their hands. They both clasped them together in the palms, as a bright light leaked through the gaps between their fingers.

A little weary, Mo Na Ye even took a few paces back, which proved fortunate he did.

After all, in the next moment, two bright flashes that enveloped the world flashed out. They enveloped the twins and everything around them.

Naturally, that meant two large craters on the ground, even when they were a distance away. However, Mo Na Ye was not spared from the blast…

However, due to his position, quick reaction, and cultivation, Mo Na Ye was spared from any serious injuries. Just some minor burns.

The twins opened their eyes and saw their handiwork, a little proud of themselves.

As for Mo Na Ye, he was grateful that he had sent them deep into enemy territory. If these two menaces had been at the direct frontline, who knows how many Black Ink Clansmen they would have accidentally killed?

“Do the two of you only know how to envelop yourselves in Purifying Light?” Mo Na Ye had his eyebrows wrinkled as he asked. Though, when he thought about it, he had never seen the twins do anything else but blast out Purifying Light in all directions.

Needless to say, his guess was spot on.

“If not around us, where would the light go?” Yang Xu questioned back. After all, the blast would naturally just envelop them. This was not so much how they willed it to be, but just how it normally worked.

Truth be told, the twins had never really practiced how to use Purifying Light. They just knew how to unleash this power using the Sun and Moon Marks on their respective hands.

To be fair, they were not trained on how to use it because Little Eleven saw no need for them to do so. After all, except for those that were made up of Black Ink Strength, Purifying Light had no effect on them. In other words, blasting it all around them would do nothing to Little Eleven nor the twins. Furthermore, with how many Crystals the twins had received, spamming Purifying Light could be said to be an encouraged course of action.

Since the natural way Purifying Light was used would envelop its caster, the way the twins used it could be said to be perfect. They were practically walking geneades, and each cast would both protect them and attack their enemies.

If Mo Na Ye knew about this, he would certainly curse the other Holy One. Though, such thoughts were prohibited, and they were quickly wiped from his mind.

He could only sigh as he advised, “During the war, your Father had managed to concentrate the Purifying Light into different shapes. Blasting it all around you is too much of a waste. From now on, try to concentrate on only blasting what is in front of you. That way, you won’t take down our allies as well…”

Yang Xu gave a nod, while Yang Ji covered his mouth and chuckled a little.

After all, Mo Na Ye’s current appearance was a little ridiculous, since bits of his clothes had been burned off, with his hair also messy and puffed up.

Silavin: Okay, most of the setup is done. Onto the war.
