Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 985: Chapter 361: A New Challenge, the World Boss Arrives!

”There will definitely be a lot of people vying for these monsters.”

Cao nodded, ”That’s right, but we have the Dragon Blood Warrior Corps, and this corps has a high damage bonus against giant dragons and their minions.”

”When it comes to securing damage, we’re not lacking.”

Of course, this would reveal part of his territory’s strength.

But Cao Xing didn’t mind.

After all, his territory had more than just the Dragon Blood Warriors as a powerful troop type.

Exposure would only reveal a small part.

After analyzing the challenge content, Cao Xing roughly understood the situation.

At the same time, he also noticed some detailed prompts from the system.

’Natives cannot participate in this challenge, and those Survivors who joined native forces (unless they formed their own forces) cannot participate in this challenge.’

Clearly, this update is meant to limit the Light Seeds and some Survivors who cunningly joined native forces.

After all, the power behind them is too terrifying.

If they mobilized their backing forces to snatch these ’Zhuoma’s Claws’ and ’Zhuoma Giant Beasts’, the ordinary Survivors wouldn’t stand a chance.

However, this update includes more than just that.

There’s also a Survivor privacy protection system.

Clearly, this is a rather humane feature.

In this world, many Survivors have secrets, just like him.

Or rather, by now, most Survivors have had their own opportunities.

To prevent others from discovering and coveting them, the system launched this feature.

In this way, others cannot arbitrarily view others’ panels.

In addition to this, there’s another relatively important update.

That’s right, the [Giant Dragon Store] is updated!

Cao Xing glanced at it.

[Giant Dragon Store Exchange List]

[Advanced Power Heart]: Requires 50,000 Ice Dragon Marks for exchange (unlimited)

[Expert-level Frost Arrow Tower Blueprint]: Requires 300,000 Ice Dragon Marks for exchange

[Expert-level Frost Wall Blueprint]: Requires 400,000 Ice Dragon Marks for exchange

...

There aren’t many things, only three types.

After all, this update doesn’t focus on the Giant Dragon Store; it’s more about the Points Store, which is normal.

Cao Xing marveled: ”Tsk tsk, it actually requires fifty thousand Ice Dragon Marks to exchange for one Advanced Power Heart, which is much higher than the breakthrough cost at the Divine Altar!”

Although the price is quite high, Cao Xing really needs to purchase many [Advanced Power Hearts].

The last wave of promotion didn’t push everyone to the Fourth Rank; many subjects are still at the Third Rank strength.

”I still have over a million Ice Dragon Marks in my backpack, enough to exchange for dozens, but it’s still not enough.”

”It seems I’ll have to trade some Ice Dragon Marks in the market later.”

...

Just when everyone thought the update content was over, a new system prompt appeared.

[Attention all Survivors! The second phase of the Ice Dragon Challenge is 10 days. After 10 days, the Points Leaderboard will be locked, and the top 10,000 Lords (including Subordinate Lords) will receive a special quota.]

[The Survivor who obtains this quota will be transported to a special scenario — Oracle War: Crystal Bloom]

[In this special scenario, you will bring all heroes and warriors within your territory and be teleported to a special Plane]

[On this Plane, you can choose different factions, eliminate more enemies to gain rich points and golden points rewards, and exchange them for rewards.]

[In this scenario, if troop types die, you can spend corresponding points to resurrect them. If the Survivors Lord dies, the first time can be revived for free, but the second time will result in elimination.]

[Oracle War: Crystal Bloom lasts for a month. Chosen Survivors Lords can choose to refuse to enter, but if agreed, your territory will be enveloped in a protective shield, preventing any creatures from attacking until your return.]

...

This update contains more system prompts!

The chat channel immediately buzzed with excitement.

Qin Shiliang: ”Holy crap!! Special scenario, Oracle War, awesome!”

Cui Si: ”Looks pretty grand, and you can choose factions. It should be interesting.”

You Zhiwen: ”Indeed, but only ten thousand slots per major district, I really need to put in some effort!”

Sebastian Taylor: ”Hmph! Our Hunger Vortex Army aims to secure at least five hundred slots in this Four Districts event!”

Walls Bolt: ”Taylor, our Gluttony Expedition Army also wants a few hundred slots!”

Sebastian Taylor: ”Bolt, how about we unite all the armies in Zone 19, take over all the slots in the Four Districts this time and have the top hundred slots filled with our names!”

”Exactly my thought!”

The two squad leaders from Zone 19 were discussing taking over the leaderboard for themselves.

The Survivors were not happy about this.

Guan Liu: ”You guys have big mouths, haven’t even started, and you’re already bragging about taking the top hundred. Have you asked our Zone 16’s Goddess Bai Zhi yet?”

Fan Youjun: ”Exactly, our Zone 18’s Little Sword Saint, Wei Jianyi, hasn’t even spoken yet!”

Wang Xin: ”That’s how these guys are. They never stop boasting and always think they’re better than us Hua Country players.”

Zheng Xuetao: ”They’ll humble themselves when they can’t even make it to the top hundred.”

The Western Survivors in Zone 19 immediately fought back.

Jackson: ”A group of cowardly folks, when we challenged the Ice Dragon Horn, you were trembling in some corner!”

Caden: ”Exactly, we are strong because we grew from blood and combat! In our eyes, you’re just a bunch of sheep!”

But the Survivors from other zones remained indifferent.

”They talk big, even when they’re nearly wiped out and still feel proud.”

”Right, don’t even look at where their proud squad leaders are ranked on the Prosperity Ranking. Can’t even make it to the top three and still have the nerve to speak?”

”Hahaha, that’s what you call putting up a front!”

Seeing the Hua Country Survivors using the Prosperity Ranking as an argument, the Western Survivors were also unconvinced.

”So what? Prosperity doesn’t completely represent territory strength. Our Hunger Vortex Army and Gluttony Expedition Army don’t focus much on territory development, we use resources to boost our own power!”

”That’s right! We rely on our combat power rankings!”

”You Eastern guys are too weak!”

The two sides engaged in another heated argument, with a palpable sense of hostility.

...

Meanwhile, Cao Xing wasn’t interested in the argument in the chat channel.

He continued analyzing with Liu Muxue.

”The top 10,000 territories in each major district? Considering each territory has 1-4 Survivors, at least over 20,000 people per major district would be selected.”

”Currently, there are over 4,000 major districts remaining. In total, around a billion Survivors would be selected!”

”Additionally, these are the top 10,000 territories in each major district, surely having numerous soldiers and combat personnel!”

”This means, at least hundreds of billions will be transported to that special scenario!”

Reaching this conclusion, Cao Xing was startled.

”What a grand scale!”

After all, transporting countless billions to a single scenario, allowing for different faction choices, and with plenty of monsters in there.

And crucially, there’s no fear of dying inside.

If the warriors die, they can be revived with points.

It’s as if you can fight without restraint!

This alone makes it highly anticipated!

Besides, Lords themselves have one free resurrection chance.

But if killed a second time, they will be eliminated.

What puzzled Cao Xing was how this worked with the various resurrection items in his possession.

Will the resurrection chance be utilised first, or will the items be consumed first?

Shaking his head, these were things to ponder later.

Their current goal was to aim for higher positions on the points leaderboard!
