Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 414 - 201: First Merging, Points Leaderboard Opens!

After listening to the person’s explanation, the other survivors seemed to understand.

“Ah, I see…”

“Now that you mention it, the environment in these zones is really harsh.”

“Yeah, yeah, we have a few big shots in our zone too, but none of them have treated us like this, especially Cao Xing. He’s been really nice to us.”

“That’s right, compared to others, Cao Xing is truly a rare find!”

At this moment, Ji Xinyue spoke in the chat channel, “Everyone, listen to me, after the merging tomorrow, things will definitely be chaotic.”

“We must unite and not let people from other zones bully us!”

“If they try to force us to join their legion, do not agree easily!”

After Ji Xinyue finished speaking, the survivors from Zone 174 thought she made a good point.

They all agreed, “That’s right, we need to stick together.”

“Haha! I’d rather wait for Wu Xinghu’s legion to level up and join the Ice Tiger than join those people.”

“Same here, I want to join the Ice Tiger!”

Wu Xinghu, Zhou Bo, and Qiu Yating were among those who spoke up.

They promised not to be like the top elites from other zones who suppress the survivors’ living space.

Under Ji Xinyue’s guidance, the survivors from Zone 174 reached a consensus tonight.

Time slipped quietly by.

Quickly, the night was over.

The next day, a system prompt appeared.

[All survivors, please note: You have completed the seventh day of the formal phase.]

[After the end of the rookie phase, the number of survivors was: 5.085 billion, number of deaths in the first seven days of the formal phase: 732 million, remaining population: 4.353 billion, overall death rate: 14.39%.]

[To those who have survived, you have further adapted to the survival rules of this new world, please continue to do so and put in more effort to build a new civilization in this unknown world.]

…

At this moment, countless people opened their eyes.

Including Cao Xing and Liu Muxue, who also woke up at the same time.

Seeing the death toll, a look of contemplation appeared in their eyes.

In the first seven days of the formal phase, another 700 million people died.

Compared to the first seven days of the rookie phase, where over 2 billion died, one could say that the death rate dropped significantly.

Going forward, if there were no major changes, like an event impacting the entire world,

the death rate would continue to decrease.

And those who survived, naturally, were the elites who had been filtered through various trials.

Then, the second system prompt continued to sound.

[The second update of the formal phase is complete.]

[Update Content ①: The first merging has officially begun, currently merging your Zone 174 with Zones 171-180, please be patient…]

…

“Axing, the merging has begun…” Liu Muxue said softly.

“Hmm.”

Cao Xing nodded.

At this time, not only Cao Xing but all survivors in the nearby areas felt a strange sensation.

It was a very curious feeling, difficult to describe.

It seemed as if the world they were in suddenly expanded.

The next moment, a system prompt appeared.

[The merging has been completed, your zone has been changed to Zone 17.]

At this moment, Cao Xing saw changes appear in the chat channel.

[Zone 17 online population: 229,713/229,713]

Just about what he expected.

Adding up 10 major zones amounted to barely 220,000 people.

And this was because Zone 174, where Cao Xing was located, pulled the average up, otherwise, it would have been even lower.

Simultaneously, the chat channel of Zone 17 was flooded with messages.

Qiu Liangdong: “Haha! Finally, the merge happened. Second Uncle, I can finally come to find you!”

Ruan Yin: “Husband, listen to my explanation, I didn’t intentionally cheat on you. I was just young and ignorant, accidentally had two kids with your brother. I have no idea why the system would allocate me with them!”

Meng Xinxu: “Brothers, we all seem to be from Xiangjiang City. The next merge might be with other cities, right?”

Jiang Qingyun: “Zone 171’s top legion, Wangjiang Pavilion Army is recruiting; only survivors above Level 10 need to private message me, I don’t have time for the weak.”

Yu Luanyu: “I… I have two golden magic plant seeds here, does anyone want them? No one in my previous zone could afford them…”

…

Looking at the burst of messages in the chat channel, it was just as expected.

With the expanded map, now one could reach farther to find their relatives and friends.

Some survivors who had valuable items and couldn’t sell them before were now seeking trades through the chat channel.

Moreover, Cao Xing discovered something.

The survivors’ names now included a small font behind their number, like 171, 172, and so on…

This was probably for identifying which major zone they originally belonged to.

Cao Xing secretly nodded, “This feature is nice.”

And just at this time, the system prompt continued to appear.

[Update Content ②: As the survivors’ territories develop, the native forces of this world will gradually take notice of your territories. Next, a large number of natives will come near your territory to investigate. Survivors, please handle your relationships with these natives appropriately.]

[Update Content ③: New resource points have been refreshed, a small number of rare resource points were added this time. Powerful monsters may appear at resource points, please proceed with caution.]

[Update Content ④: As survivors gradually form legions and large-scale battles increase, Armor calculations have changed. Previously, 1 point of Armor offset 1 point of Damage; it has now changed to a division formula, Damage equals Attack*(1-1/(1+Attack/Defense)).]

These three updates, the first one was somewhat beyond Cao Xing’s expectations.
