The City’s Strongest Son-in-law

Chapter 524: Chapter 525: Meeting the Flight Attendant Again

When Wang Ling’er opened the door, her friend came in, and Su Changfeng froze.

And Wang Ling’er’s friend was equally surprised to see Su Changfeng.

“Xueqing, Song Yu has arrived. Come quick, I’ll introduce you to my friend.” Wang Ling’er enthusiastically pulled Wu Xueqing into the living room.

“We’ve met before.” Facing Su Changfeng, Wu Xueqing felt somewhat complicated. She was the flight attendant Su Changfeng encountered on his flight to Beijing and initially had a good impression of him, but who knew Su Changfeng turned out to be a freeloading gigolo.

Su Changfeng also didn’t expect such a coincidence; she was actually a friend of Wang Ling’er too.

“You’ve met before, where?” Wang Ling’er asked in surprise. Wu Xueqing was a fairly close friend of Wang Ling’er, and today Wang Ling’er even planned to play matchmaker.

“We met on the plane. My name is Su Changfeng.” Su Changfeng stood up proactively and introduced himself.

Wu Xueqing gave Su Changfeng a complex look but didn’t react much.

“This is indeed quite a coincidence, but it also means you two are particularly fated.” Wang Ling’er said with a smile.

Su Changfeng smiled back, said nothing, and continued sitting while watching TV.

At this moment, Wang Ling’er realized there seemed to be an unusual tension between the two, so she pulled Wu Xueqing aside and said, “Sister Xueqing, I just bought a new dress, can you take a look and see if it looks good on me?”

Then Wang Ling’er took Wu Xueqing to her room.

After closing the door, Wang Ling’er said to Wu Xueqing, “Sister Xueqing, I was planning to set you up with a boyfriend, but I see there’s something off between you two; could it be that there’s some conflict?”

Wu Xueqing smiled bitterly and shook her head. How could there be any conflict with Su Changfeng? She just couldn’t accept his status. He’s so young and yet so unambitious, choosing to be a kept gigolo.

Wu Xueqing is a very independent person. No less than three people have offered to support her financially, suggesting she quit being a flight attendant and flying everywhere; they said there’s no need for a girl like her to work so hard.

But Wu Xueqing had refused every time. In her heart, she despised lazy people, whether it’s herself or others, let alone earning money with their bodies.

Seeing Su Changfeng getting into a luxury car, along with what the train cop said, Wu Xueqing’s good impression of Su Changfeng vanished completely. And now Wang Ling’er wanted Su Changfeng to be her boyfriend; how could Wu Xueqing accept that?

“No,” Wu Xueqing said.

“If not, why do you have this attitude? Could it be you don’t like the way he looks? But I think he’s quite good-looking.” Wang Ling’er said.

In Wang Ling’er’s view, there’s nothing to criticize about Su Changfeng’s looks, a truly handsome guy, albeit with a not-so-great family background. But he’s strived and done quite well for himself now.

A guy like Su Changfeng can be the ideal boyfriend choice. If not for Wang Ling’er always treating him like a brother, she would have pursued him herself.

“You don’t really know what kind of person he is,” Wu Xueqing said.

“Sister Xueqing, do you know something else?” Wang Ling’er asked curiously.

“I’d better not say. I feel if I do, it will definitely overturn your good impression of him.” Wu Xueqing said.

“You’ve successfully piqued my curiosity, so tell me, what’s going on?” Wang Ling’er said, shaking Wu Xueqing’s arm anxiously.

Wu Xueqing sighed helplessly. Perhaps letting Wang Ling’er know the real Su Changfeng is a good thing.

Wu Xueqing first told Wang Ling’er about the whole incident on the plane, leaving Wang Ling’er in stunned silence, her mouth agape. She didn’t expect Su Changfeng’s skills were so good, single-handedly dealing with those foreigners; it made Wang Ling’er want to travel back in time to take that flight and witness Su Changfeng’s prowess firsthand.

“With such excellent skills and a strong sense of justice, what’s wrong with a guy like Su Changfeng?” Wang Ling’er asked, perplexed.

“But after he left the airport, he got into a limited edition Bentley, and in that car, there was a woman in her 40s,” Wu Xueqing continued.

Wang Ling’er didn’t quite understand the implication of these words, confusedly asking, “So what; he got into a Bentley and there was a middle-aged woman in her 40s inside, what’s the problem with that?”

Wu Xueqing stared helplessly at Wang Ling’er and said, “Do I have to spell it out for you? Can’t you think it over with your little brain?”

Wang Ling’er scratched her head with a puzzled face, saying, “Sister Xueqing, just say it outright. With my little brain, if you want me to figure it out myself, I might never understand it in this lifetime.”

“Someone’s been financially supporting him, surely you see it now?” Wu Xueqing said.

Upon hearing this, Wang Ling’er stood there in shock.

So… someone is actually supporting Su Changfeng!

No wonder he came today and gifted her such an expensive necklace.

Wang Ling’er originally thought Su Changfeng had become competent and had a following; maybe he had even built a career. But she never expected he became wealthy this way.

“Sister Xueqing, might there be some misunderstanding?” Wang Ling’er paused and continued, “I don’t believe it; I’m going to ask him.”

Wu Xueqing quickly stopped Wang Ling’er. Being kept is not something anyone wants to bring up, and if Wang Ling’er asked him to his face, it would surely embarrass Su Changfeng.

“Are you silly? How would Su Changfeng admit to such a shameful thing, moreover, even if you asked him, he would likely deny it and it would ruin your relationship. Also, if you only see him as a brother, it’s not something you should worry about.” Wu Xueqing said.

Wang Ling’er lowered her head in frustration. After learning this, the image of Su Changfeng in her heart had crumbled significantly.

Even though Wang Ling’er didn’t know Su Changfeng well for so long, now that she found out he was being kept by a middle-aged woman, the gap in her heart was too big.

“Sister Xueqing, he gave me a necklace this time. Could it be that he bought it with the money from that woman who supports him?” Wang Ling’er suddenly felt she didn’t quite like the necklace anymore.

Wang Ling’er said this while taking out the necklace.

When Wu Xueqing saw the brand of the necklace, she was particularly shocked. Wu Xueqing knew quite a bit about luxury items; she knew better than Wang Ling’er the price of this necklace.

“If this necklace is authentic, it would cost at least 40 to 50 thousand. It seems he still treats you very well.” Wu Xueqing said with a sigh.
