Chapter 1789: Chapter 1828: Entering Hell

Yuwei looked up at the back of Pingtian Bodhisattva, calmly turned her head, and said indifferently:

”No need to plead for me.”

”I formed a bond with you just to use you to reach the Continent and then return to the Hell Realm.”

”Our Youmei Asura Lineage’s Asura Emperor will never fall for human emotions.”

After speaking, she calmly looked into the distance, her eyes devoid of any ripple.

Unexpectedly, Pingtian Bodhisattva’s voice was gentle as he smiled and said, ”I know.”

Hmm?

Yuwei looked up at him, ”When did you find out?”

Pingtian Bodhisattva said, ”The first time we met.”

Yuwei was stunned; their first meeting was when Pingtian Bodhisattva fell into her resting place under the influence of a curse, awakening her Remnant Soul.

So at that time when she showed affection, Pingtian Bodhisattva knew it was a deception.

Later Pingtian Bodhisattva went along with it, using her to understand the six senses, thus achieving Enlightenment and attaining Bodhisattva?

Thinking of this, she sighed lightly: ”That’s for the best, no one owes anyone.”

Unexpectedly, Pingtian Bodhisattva smiled and said, ”But, I was true.”

Yuwei’s delicate body trembled slightly, staring at Pingtian Bodhisattva in disbelief.

The latter still smiled, his eyes as gentle as when he left the secular world: ”The wind knows not where it goes, and love knows not whence it arises.”

”I truly fell for you, from the first sight until I cut off the six roots and let go.”

Jiang Fan listened, surprised, originally thinking the Dharma Seal Vajra was also using Yuwei to attain enlightenment.

It turned out, he was genuinely in love at first sight.

Yuwei’s expression stiffened slightly, ”But you knew I was deliberately approaching you...”

Pingtian Bodhisattva interrupted her with a smile: ”So what?”

”The trees reach for the sky, the falling flowers yearn for the flowing water, yet they never have demands. It is enough for the other to be well.”

”And my love for you is the same.”

Yuwei was stunned for a long time, a sense of guilt passing over her otherwise calm face.

She lowered her head, closed her eyes, and remained silent.

Just then, the Ancient Zen Buddha Venerable cast a solemn gaze: ”Pingtian, move aside.”

”I will help you eliminate the six roots.”

Pingtian Bodhisattva moved a step to stand in front of Yuwei, saying, ”Please, Buddha Venerate, show great mercy. I swear with my life she will not do evil.”

The Ancient Zen Buddha Venerable’s white brows fluttered, looking solemn and austere, his Kasaya fluttering despite no wind.

He was angry, but not with Yuwei; he was angry that Pingtian Bodhisattva was entangled in the web of love and would not repent.

”In vain, you’ve cultivated for eighteen years, yet you act as if you’ve never heard the teachings, never attained the way, bringing shame to Buddhism’s teachings.”

”Cut her down, retreat for three years, and reflect on your mistakes!”

Pingtian Bodhisattva clasped his hands in prayer, remaining unmoved.

”Stubborn and won’t awaken!” Ancient Zen Buddha Venerable grew angry: ”Move aside!”

He lightly tapped his toes, and the Buddha Light beneath him gathered into an arc of light, shooting towards the two.

Yuwei’s face changed sharply, exclaiming, ”Dharma Seal, quickly dodge!”

Pingtian Bodhisattva looked calm, his body unmoved.

Poof—

The arc of light pierced through his chest, carrying a large amount of hot Buddha blood out from his back, splattering all over Yuwei.

His aura quickly withered, staggering and falling down.

Gazing, he was cut in the heart meridian, his life force rapidly fading, even his condensed Bodhisattva Fruit Position rapidly withering.

Yuwei held him tightly, her crystalline eyes trembling: ”You’ve let go of everything, returned to Buddhism.”

”Yet you lose your life for me, is it worth it?”

Pingtian Bodhisattva smiled faintly: ”Not everything in the world must be measured by worth or not worth.”

”But by whether willing or unwilling.”

”For the world, I’m willing to let you go, return to Buddhism.”

”For you, I’m willing to give up my life, return to dust... cough cough...”

Yuwei’s eyes were moist, tears falling on Pingtian Bodhisattva’s blood-stained face.

At this moment, it seemed she first sensed this man’s emotions.

She gently laid down Pingtian Bodhisattva, kneeling on the ground, and said: ”Please, Buddha Venerate, save him.”

”I’m willing to face punishment.”

Everyone was silent, Jiang Fan also didn’t expect Pingtian would die for Yuwei.

Nor did he expect Yuwei would willingly seek death for Pingtian.

Looking at the increasingly enraged Ancient Zen Buddha Venerable, Jiang Fan said: ”Buddha Venerate, I also vouch for Yuwei, she will not harm Central Earth.”

”I earnestly request your leniency.”

Hearing this, the Ancient Zen Buddha Venerable hesitated for a moment, retracting his all-over Buddha Light.

His expression still solemn, he said: ”Since Master Jiang pleads, I shall show leniency.”

”Asura Remnant Soul, leave quickly!”

Yuwei looked back at the wounded Pingtian on the ground: ”What about him?”

Ancient Zen Buddha Venerable said with authority: ”Pingtian Bodhisattva confused by lust refused to awaken, ignorant of Dharma, unseen of scriptures.”

”From today, expelled from monastic life, out of Buddhism, notifying all Buddhist temples across Central Earth, not to allow him back into Buddhism.”

Yuwei deeply lowered her head.

For her, his life was lost, and future ruined.

Is it worth it?

Jiang Fan came over quickly, using the Domain of Life to heal Pingtian Bodhisattva, glancing at Yuwei with a sigh:

”Go, don’t let his sacrifice be in vain.”

Yuwei bit her lip slightly, bowed to Jiang Fan: ”Thank you, Young Master Jiang, for your great kindness.”

”Please take care of Dharma Seal.”

With one last look at Pingtian, she turned, tears in her eyes, and leapt into the Abyss.

Jiang Fan sighed silently, if not for the coming of the Ancient Giant, would Dharma Seal have loved forever?

To love but not to gain, to gain and then relinquish.

The pain Dharma Seal went through was endurable only by few.

Soon, Dharma Seal’s injuries recovered.

He got up, bowed to Jiang Fan, then silently removed the Kasaya granted by Buddha Country, quietly standing by the Abyss.

The Great Wine Sacrifice of Taicang State sighed softly: ”A doomed relationship.”

Shaking his head, he surveyed around, finding most already ready, and said in a loud voice: ”Assemble!”

Many strong ones rose and, together with the strong ones of their state, came to the edge of the bottomless Abyss.

Below is the legendary Hell Realm.

Besides fear, everyone was also filled with an uncontrollable sense of excitement.

Today marks the first-ever war with the outside since Central Earth’s founding thousands of years ago.

Regardless of win or lose, it will be etched in history.

The Great Wine Sacrifice of Taicang State said: ”Follow the actions of the Great Venerates of each state closely.”

”Onward!”

He led the sages in first, flying into the Abyss.

The Great Venerates and Divinity Transformation Realm followed closely, and lastly, many Nascent Soul Realm did the same.

The vast and mighty strong ones of Central Earth began their journey to attack the Hell Realm!

Soon after.

The empty tenth layer suddenly appeared a tall woman in a black long dress, golden hair, with gold-rimmed glasses.

She gazed into the Abyss, eyes gleaming, sighing inwardly:

”As expected, the passage between Central Earth and the Hell Realm is finally opened.”

”I hope Jiang Fan and I will not become enemies.”

However, she did not rashly head towards the Abyss but cupped her hands towards the air:

”Junior from the Heavenly Realm, Asura Clan, Red Sleeves, here to offer Jiang Fan a hand.”

Above her, the Joyful Great Wine Sacrifice materialized from the void, holding a long sword, she smiled and said:

”So it’s you, almost killed you by mistake.”

Red Sleeves breathed a slight sigh of relief: ”Thank you, Great Wine Sacrifice, for your trust.”

”How could I not trust Jiang Fan’s woman?”

”Go on, go on, don’t get left behind.”

Joyful Great Wine Sacrifice said.

Wait?

Red Sleeves froze.

Who’s Jiang Fan’s woman? She merely helped Jiang Fan during the Ancient Giant’s battle.

To avoid unnecessary trouble, she had no choice but to accept, ambiguously saying: ”Yes, yes, Junior is going.”

Then leaped into the Abyss immediately.
