Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 1414.5- Chaotic Battle (2)

The spectators lost sight of the battle at this moment. The light screen in the monitoring room stopped working, and David and the others could no longer see what was happening in the spaces. They could only guess the situation based on the constantly changing numbers on the energy display.

If the energy dropped, it meant their side had lost. If it suddenly increased by a large margin, they had won.

This feeling wasn’t pleasant. It was like waiting for a verdict, filling them with unease.

Kim Jong-yuan’s every step was a struggle. He was gritting his teeth as he advanced.

Each rain droplet wasn’t as powerful as the first one, but they were incredibly dense. It was like a torrential downpour before his shields. The force he was enduring shook his entire body.

But he was prepared for this. Why had he turned his hands silver? It was to withstand the strain of holding these two shields!

From Kim Jongyuan’s perspective, he only held the shields by their handles, not leaning his body against them. He was supporting them entirely with the strength of his hands.

But the once-smooth silver on his hands had begun to crack, his arms were trembling, the blood vessels in his eyes had thickened, and blood was seeping from the corner of his mouth.

Although Kim Jong-yuan’s situation wasn’t good, he was confident. He was now only two meters away from Deacon Water, and he could reach her in just two steps.

At that moment…
He didn’t believe this woman could maintain such a frenzied attack for much longer.

Sure enough, the density of the rain droplets began to decrease, and Deacon Water’s rotation slowed.

The moment Kim Jongyuan got close to Deacon Water, her attacks stopped.

“My turn!”

Kim Jongyuan hollered and smashed his shield at her.

If it was just the shield crash, even a golden shield could be tanked by Deacon Water’s eight-star body. At most, she would be slightly injured.

But the shields changed. Two cold glows of light flew toward Deacon Water.

Against anyone else, the Water Deacon’s Wind and Rain would have ended the battle. The relentless, torrential rain attack was incredibly powerful, similar to the Death King Tree’s World Nature. Such a strong, sustained attack was what evolved feared most.

But unfortunately, she had encountered Kim Jong-yuan, who possessed gold-tier defensive equipment. Even though his internal organs were injured, this was at most a minor injury for an evolved of his level.

Now, Deacon Water faced the greatest crisis she had encountered in years.

These shields weren’t just defensive—they could also attack!

Deacon Water waved, and a water barrier appeared before her.

The two cold gleams struck the barrier almost immediately.

Slowed by the water barrier, the gleams’ speed decreased, allowing Deacon Water to see clearly that they were the weapons of the two Door Gods on the shields!

Moreover, the water barrier couldn’t withstand the attack of the two weapons. It held for only a moment before shattering.

Deacon Water retreated rapidly. The silver bracelet on her wrist flew off, enlarging as it moved and collided with the two weapons.

After two clangs, Kim Jongyuan’s advance was finally halted. Deacon Water let out a muffled groan as her body floated backward. A few drops of bright red blood fell onto her white robe, which stood out.

Deacon Water caught the bracelet that shrunk and wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth. Her heart ached as she saw two cracks on the bracelet.

This bracelet was an excellent piece of support equipment. When she used her jobskills, it could emit light to enhance the attack power of her water droplets. When defending, it could also block attacks.

Now, with such obvious cracks, it likely wouldn’t last much longer before being completely destroyed.

Although it wasn’t gold-grade, it was still a high-quality blue-grade piece of equipment. Most importantly, it suited her perfectly.

“Die, die,” Kim Jong-yuan muttered under his breath. He slammed the shields onto the ground, and the two Door God images on them came to life, transforming into figures clad in ancient Chinese armor who appeared in the space.

As the Door Gods landed, they immediately sprang into action, brandishing their weapons and charging toward Deacon Water.

Deacon Water snorted, retreating while waving her hands toward the ground. One after another, energy strikes hit the ground, forming small pools of water.

As she retreated, these pools grew in number, with the closer ones merging to form larger puddles.

With a command from Deacon Water, these pools transformed into water giants, each about two meters tall. Some were fatter and others thinner, depending on the pool size.

Since the two Door Gods were chasing Deacon Water, some of the water giants appeared behind them, while others appeared in front.

The ones in front intercepted the Door Gods, while a few of the ones behind attacked Kim Jongyuan.

Both sides were shocked by each other’s methods, and their expressions more serious than ever.

Despite being made of water, the water giants didn’t seem weak. The weapons that had pierced the water barrier could only barely penetrate the water giants’ bodies. But since they weren’t flesh and blood, being pierced wasn’t fatal and didn’t even hinder their movements. At most, it reduced their size slightly.

“Kill!”

Kim Jongyuan, facing the oncoming water giants, didn’t know whether he was cheering himself on or giving orders to the two Door Gods. In any case, he and the Door Gods launched their attacks together.

He threw the two shields, each hitting a water giant. For some reason, the two water giants immediately turned back into puddles.

Then, with his silver hands, he struck another water giant. Some of the silver substance was washed away by the water droplets, falling into the water giant’s body and spreading. The once-agile water giant began stiffening as the silver substance spread, eventually turning partially silvered. Kim Jongyuan, who had retrieved his shields, smashed the water giant to pieces.

Conversely, the two Door Gods also began a more ferocious attack.

The ancient armor they wore had scales that slightly opened, emitting a strange fragrance. Upon smelling this scent, they roared like they had taken stimulants. With each roar, their weapons stabbed out repeatedly with greater power than before and their weapons now carried a strange glow.

This time, the water giants were no match for the Door Gods. With each roar, the water giants stiffened, and when struck by the weapons, they shattered like glass.

Deacon Water landed on the ground, watching the water giants she had summoned being slaughtered individually. She could no longer remain calm.

She was an evolved who focused on offense with decent defensive capabilities. But after fighting for so long, she had already used most of her moves. These abilities were usually enough in normal battles, whether it was the various forms of water droplet attacks, summoning water giants, or using the water barrier and the glowing bracelet. But who could have expected that, even after using them against Kim Jong-yuan, she still hadn’t killed him? Now, she was even at a disadvantage.

Glancing at the space, which was still trembling slightly, Deacon Water decided to make one final move. Whether she won or lost would depend on this last attack.

After summoning four more giant water giants, she clasped her hands together. Her silver headpiece emitted a beam of light that struck her hands. Then, a series of incantations spilled from her lips, and her white robe slowly rose.

Kim Jong-yuan noticed what was happening. He shouted, charging forward with large strides, shields in hand. He swung his arms and hurled the shields at her when he was close enough.
