Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 2528: Bidding

The grand hall buzzed with an electric fervor as the Skyroot elders moved systematically through the twenty alchemical products on display. Powerful figures from across the realms sat in attendance, their gazes fixed on the elevated stage where fortunes would be spent and destinies altered.

The auction was more than just a transaction—it was a battleground of wealth and influence. Each product unveiled was not only a testament to its creatorʼs mastery but also a key to advancement, a rare chance to seize an edge in the relentless climb toward power.

One by one, the elders provided their analyses, their voices carrying across the vast hall with practiced authority. The items were not just described; they were dissected, their compositions and applications laid bare for all to understand. The tension in the air thickened as the first of the high-tiered products was announced.

[Tier 8: Elemental Resistance Pill]

[Potency: 102%]

[Ice Resistance: 80%]

[All Resistance: 50%]

[Most Effective for: Cosmic Stage 6]

The bidding commenced with immediate intensity. Defensive measures were always in high demand, especially among cosmic cultivators who constantly faced elemental hazards. Hands shot up, voices rang out, and in the span of mere moments, the pill was sold for a staggering 200 million spirit stones. The hall rumbled with murmurs of approval, nods exchanged between interested parties, some pleased with the price, others waiting for their own chances.

The next product—a higher-grade pill designed specifically for underwater ventures—possessed an impressive but limited scope. Though its efficacy was undeniable, its niche application meant fewer contenders. Ultimately, a cosmic expert preparing for a deep-sea expedition secured it for 90 million spirit stones, a comparatively modest sum.

More items followed in succession, each sparking new waves of heated bidding wars. Nearly two-thirds of the showcased products had been claimed, and the fervor in the room only grew stronger with each sale.

The hall braced itself as one of the most anticipated products was unveiled—the creation of Ivaris. He had transformed his share of the rare Tier 7 Rainbow Flower into a catalyst of immense power.

[Tier 8: Soul Enhancing Pill]

[Potency: 105%]

[Effectiveness for Fire Element Users: 150%]

[Effectiveness for Lightning Element Users: 130%]

[Most Effective for: Cosmic Stage 7]

As soon as the properties were revealed, a wave of excitement surged through the hall. A product potent enough for Cosmic Stage 7 cultivators was exceedingly rare, and for those trapped at a bottleneck, it was a potential breakthrough.

Ivaris leaned slightly toward Emery, whispering with a sly smirk, ”Honestly, I became an alchemist for the money. Of course, I made something that sells at the highest price.”

The bidding war was immediate and ruthless. Bids skyrocketed in rapid succession until the final price settled at a jaw-dropping 400 million spirit stones.

Emery, watching from his seat, could barely conceal his surprise. Such an extravagant price was unheard of! He knew for a fact that similar items in the Magus Realm typically went for half as much. ṞÃ₦Ọ𝐛Еs

Following Ivaris was Horus Kreed, the noble alchemist known for his precision and refinement. Instead of focusing on the soul, he had chosen a path similar to Emeryʼs, crafting a body refinement pill.

[Tier 8: Body Refinement Pill]

[Potency: 116%]

[Temporary Boost: 1000 Battle Power]

[Permanent Boost: 100 Battle Power]

[Most Effective for: Cosmic Stage 7]

The crowd erupted. A permanent battle power boost was no minor benefit. Horus stood tall, pride radiating from his posture as the bids soared higher and higher.

When the final call was made, the pill was sold for 500 million spirit stones.

Horus smirked triumphantly, his gaze drifting toward Emery, expecting to see jealousy or frustration. But Emery remained utterly unfazed.

The room fell silent as the Skyroot Elder stepped toward the center of the stage.

Before him, encased in protective glass, rested the top five pills of the auction. Each one radiated an undeniable aura of significance, their mere presence demanding reverence.

The first display case was carefully opened.

A foul stench flooded the hall, causing several guests to wrinkle their noses in disgust. Yet, beyond the pungent odor was something far more alarming—a powerful, shadowy aura that coiled menacingly above the stage.

Gasps of shock rippled through the audience.

The pill crafted by Graknar, the giant race alchemist, was a Summoning Pill—a rarity that defied conventional alchemy.

[Tier 8: Summoning Pill]

[Potency: 118%]

[Summons: An Undying Cosmic Stage 4 Expert]

Despite the sheer power it exuded, the item failed to garner much interest. While summoning through alchemy was an extraordinary feat, cultivators typically favored direct personal strength. Moreover, Graknar had no intention of selling it, as it was created through the life sacrifice of his friend.

From the sidelines, Horus Kreed scowled. He had to witness this savage concoction outshining him. His irritation deepened, but he forced himself to maintain composure.

The Skyroot elders, however, valued ingenuity. And in their eyes, Graknar had certainly earned their favor.

Next came one of the rarest treasures of the evening—a Tier 9 pill, painstakingly crafted by Kaeylin, the Fey Clan Alchemist.

”Finally a tier 9 pill!!”

[Tier 9: Life-Enhancing Pill]

[Potency: 98%]

[Prolongs Life Essence by 1000 Years]

[Most Effective for: Cosmic Stage 6]

A hushed silence fell over the hall.

Many mistakenly believed that reaching the Magus Realm meant attaining immortality. However, Cosmic Experts knew the truth—eventually, their life essence would dissipate, and their time would come to an end. With an average lifespan of 5000 years, every additional year was a priceless commodity.

The thought of an additional 1000 years was a priceless luxury, an opportunity to correct mistakes, refine techniques, and extend oneʼs legacy.

The bidding frenzy was immediate, the numbers climbing at a relentless pace. Despite its limitation to Cosmic Stage 6 cultivators, the final bid settled at a jaw-dropping 600 million spirit stones. Kaylin accepted the offer with a graceful nod.

Finally, the moment everyone had been waiting for arrived.

The last three products were yet to be revealed.

The anticipation in the room was unbearable.
