The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2678: The Samsara Lord!

Silence reigned across the battlefield.

The warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe and the Curse Eaters of the Tenth Empyrean World stared into the void.

There, amid the remains of the White Abyss, stood the shattered figure of Nito.

His body had been split apart.

The battle that had surpassed their understanding of reality, a confrontation between powers capable of crushing entire small universes, a battle worthy of Fourth Realm life forms, had finally come to an end.

For several seconds, nobody spoke.

Then a single voice broke the silence.

”We... won.”

No one knew who had uttered those words.

Perhaps it had been Meylin.

Perhaps it had been one of the countless warriors who had fought for the survival of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe.

It did not matter.

The words echoed through the hearts and souls of every man and woman who called the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe their home.

They had won.

Cain’s condition was terrible. His body was covered in wounds, his blood flowing freely as the remnants of the battle continued to burn through his flesh and soul. Yet even in that state, none of the remaining Curse Eaters believed they could defeat him.

They had witnessed what he had done.

They had seen the power he could unleash after surpassing the limits of the Third Realm.

Perhaps Cain would need time to recover, but once he returned to his peak and could properly wield that power again, there was little the forces of the Tenth Empyrean World could do but retreat and hide.

”Haha...”

A low laugh escaped from Leonidas.

The oldest warrior of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe had blood covering his body, and his opponent still stood before him, yet he no longer cared.

”Haha... hahahaha!”

His laughter grew louder.

All the blood.

All the pain.

All the exhaustion.

All the anguish accumulated through years of war.

For the first time, it felt as though the weight had finally been lifted from his shoulders.

”Hahahahahaha!”

It did not take long for the rest of the warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance to join him.

Their laughter spread across the battlefield like an enormous wave.

Some laughed until tears appeared in their eyes.

Others simply raised their weapons toward the sky.

Many collapsed to their knees, exhausted beyond measure, yet unable to suppress the smiles appearing on their faces.

They looked toward the Scarlet King with pure awe, reverence, loyalty, admiration, and respect.

He was their king.

He was the man who had led them through horror after horror, the man who had continued advancing when the universe itself seemed determined to crush them.

And now, the nightmare was over.

Cain could hear their laughter despite the enormous distance separating them.

It reached him as clearly as though they were standing beside him.

For a brief moment, the Scarlet King finally allowed his stoic expression to soften.

A faint smile appeared on his face.

Then a quiet laugh escaped his lips.

”The Tenth Empyrean World is still out there...”

Cain looked toward the distant void.

”But for today, I won.”

”THUMP!”

The heartbeat came without warning.

It was so loud and powerful that it shattered the laughter of the warriors below.

Every smile vanished.

Every voice stopped.

The warriors of the Six Sacred Races froze as their instincts screamed.

Something was wrong.

Almost simultaneously, every gaze turned toward the source of the heartbeat.

Cain did the same.

His eyes widened.

Floating between the pieces of Nito’s shattered body was a single drop of purple blood.

It was tiny.

Smaller than a grain of rice.

Yet Cain only needed one glance to understand what it was.

His pupils contracted.

”The true core...”

That drop of blood was the core of the Samsara Eye.

The power contained within it was so extraordinary that even his final attack, a slash capable of severing the White Abyss itself, had failed to destroy it.

”THUMP!”

The purple drop pulsed again.

A shockwave erupted from it.

Cain was caught in the blast and sent rolling backward through the void. His battered body twisted violently before he managed to regain control.

The Scarlet King’s eyes immediately returned to the purple drop.

The fragments of Nito’s body began moving.

Flesh.

Bones.

Blood.

Even remnants of his soul.

Everything that remained began dissolving into streams of energy and flowing toward the purple core.

Cain’s expression changed.

The fragments revolved around it, slowly forming a cocoon.

”RUMBLE!”

The entire universe trembled.

Chaotic energy from every corner of the void began rushing toward the cocoon.

Stars dimmed as cosmic energy was drained.

The laws of space and time distorted.

Countless currents of power were forcibly pulled from the surrounding universe and devoured.

The amount of energy gathering within the cocoon was incomprehensible.

Cain froze for a brief moment.

His mind immediately calculated the implications.

’I have to stop—’

He barely completed the thought.

The absorption ended.

Silence returned.

Where Nito’s remains had once floated, a majestic purple crystal cocoon now stood within the void.

Every eye focused upon it.

Yet those with weaker souls could not endure the sight for long.

They were forced to avert their gazes.

The cocoon itself seemed to contain mysteries that their consciousness could not process. Looking into its crystalline surface made them feel as though they were witnessing the beginning and end of existence simultaneously.

There was no clear distinction between past and future.

Birth and death.

Creation and destruction.

Everything seemed to exist together.

Meylin was the only one in the Fallen Empyrean World capable of staring directly at it without suffering any backlash.

Even she felt her heart tremble.

”It feels like...”

Her eyes narrowed as she struggled to understand the sight.

”It feels like I’m gazing into the endless cycle of beginning and end, from the first ray of light...”

Her voice became softer.

”...until the moment when darkness consumes everything.”

The True Depravita of Hope found herself captivated by the cocoon.

She wanted to understand its mysteries.

She wanted to perceive the principles hidden within it.

But before she could delve deeper, the cocoon shattered.

”CRACK!”

Purple crystalline fragments exploded outward.

The battlefield became completely silent.

A man stood within the storm of shattered crystal.

He could only be described as flawless.

His body appeared to have been forged according to the perfect proportions of existence itself. Every muscle, every bone, and every feature carried an impossible sense of balance.

His face was not merely beautiful.

It possessed dignity.

Authority.

Majesty.

It was a face capable of making gods and devils instinctively lower their heads.

Three eyes opened.

Each one radiated a different but equally terrifying power.

Their depths seemed capable of making eternity itself feel no more significant than the blink of an eye.

Cain stared.

Throughout his life, he had witnessed countless miracles.

He had fought ancient monsters.

He had encountered strange phenomena that could leave even Fourth Realm beings speechless.

He had walked through Paradise, gazed into the Emptiness, faced the Root, fought the Curse Eaters, and witnessed powers that should never have existed.

Yet for the first time in his life...

He was truly and utterly shocked.

His body trembled.

His soul screamed.

Because Cain recognized that face.

Even though he had only ever seen it before through flames, there was no mistaking it.

This was the reason he had fought Nito with such desperation.

This was why he had refused to let the Curse Eater survive long enough to complete his transformation.

He had known what might emerge.

He had tried to prevent it.

Yet destiny had apparently decided otherwise.

Cain stared at the flawless figure standing before him.

There was only one entity whose appearance could inspire such genuine dread within the Scarlet King.

The forefather of the Neo-Demon and Depravita races.

The creator of the Samsara Arsenal.

The mysterious existence whose treasures had saved Cain’s life more times than he could count.

The being whose true power stood beyond everything Cain could currently comprehend.

His voice trembled as he finally spoke.

”Samsara...”

Cain’s eyes remained locked onto the three-eyed figure.

”...Lord.”
