My Youth Began With Him

The first time Qin Chu and Huo Mian interacted was half a month later.

One afternoon, Qin Chu came back late from basketball, and the cafeteria was already empty.

Huo Mian, on the other hand, had overslept. It was late when she got there.

The canteen was about to clear the table for a break.

The two of them walked in one after another.

“Is there any food left?”

They actually asked in unison.

Qin Chu and Huo Mian looked at each other.

“There’s only one left. Why don’t… the two of you share a portion?”

The cafeteria auntie was also amazing. She scooped out the remaining food and placed it on a plate.

Qin Chu frowned; he wasn’t used to eating with others.

He wanted to go out for a bite, but when he looked at his watch, it was less than 25 minutes away from the afternoon class. If he went out to eat, it would definitely be too late.

Huo Mian had slept for the whole afternoon, so she was a little hungry.

If she did not eat, she would definitely feel uncomfortable. If she was going to eat, would she have to share it with others?

The two of them were in a deadlock…

Finally, Qin Chu took the plate…

He slowly walked towards the empty seat.

He didn’t invite her because he wasn’t someone who would take the initiative to talk to girls.

Huo Mian licked her lips and took out two pairs of disposable chopsticks.

Then, she walked over generously and handed one to Qin Chu while keeping the other for herself.

Then, the two of them ate lunch together…

Most importantly, they didn’t even say a single word throughout.

The two of them had trained their suppression skills to perfection.

When they returned to class, the bell had just rung.

Seeing them walk back together, the other students felt a little strange.

During the class break—

Liu Siying, who had always had a crush on Qin Chu, never curbed herself or hid her emotions.

She had been studying at the same school as Qin Chu since junior high. With her grades, for her to be able to come to Second High and Class One was improbable.

It was actually because she had paid a lot of money, just like Wei Dong.

She bought bread and drinks from the school’s mini-mart.

“You seem tired from playing basketball recently… Eat more.”

Liu Siying generously gave Qin Chu food…

The bread and water were placed directly on his table.

The other students looked at him with envy.

To be honest, Liu Siying was quite pretty. Her hair was longer than Huo Mian’s, and she spoke gently.

Of course, her gentleness was only directed at Qin Chu.

Qin Chu glanced at her coldly. “I don’t like bread.”

Liu Siying was embarrassed for a moment before she smiled. “Then drink some water first.”

Qin Chu didn’t give her any face as he glanced at the drink.

“I’ll get fat if I drink this. Why don’t you keep it for yourself?”

These words made Liu Siying’s face turn nasty, but she seemed to be used to Qin Chu’s attitude.

Liu Siying quietly put away the bread and water.

Unwilling to give up, she added, “Then tell me what you would like to eat next time.”

Qin Chu ignored her and read the basketball news on his phone.

At that time, Kobe had just become famous in the club. Qin Chu liked genius stars like Kobe and always wanted to go to the States to watch a match.

So his attention was not on any girl…

Wei Dong was more interested in the new genius.

Because at that time, most guys liked girls who were different.

Wei Dong walked up to Huo Mian, who was in the last row.

“Huo Mian, where are you going this weekend?”

“Sleeping at home.”

“There’s a Disney animation film showing this weekend. Shall we go watch it together?”

“It’s better for me to sleep at home,” Huo Mian said calmly.

After she said this, the surrounding students laughed.

“Then it’s fine if you don’t watch a movie. How about helping me with homework? My dad said that he would give me over 1,000 yuan a month for my tuition fees. If you can help me with my math, I will give you the 1,000 yuan.”

Wei Dong continued to tempt Huo Mian.

Qin Chu wasn’t far away, so he heard Wei Dong’s words clearly. He was curious what Huo Mian would say.
