My Youth Began With Him

“Of course not. F*ck off.”

Her subordinates didn’t dare to say more about it and drove off.

They left a car for Lu Yan since this place was in the wilderness.

Lu Yan got behind the wheel and honked.

An walked out slowly.

“Have you digested it?” Obviously, Lu Yan referred to the information she had disclosed to him.

An nodded. He was still stunned but had accepted the fact.

“Get in the car?”

“You’ll drive me back?”

“What do you think? Do you want to walk back?” Lu Yan chuckled.

With a heavy heart, An got into the car. As Lu Yan sped back, An wanted to ask her something but swallowed the words.

In the current situation, it was not wise for him to ask too many questions.

Previously, An had thought Lu Yan was vicious and cruel when she fought.

But now, he realized that she had shown mercy to those guys.

If she dealt with them in her usual way, they’d have died.

As a farmer’s son, An had been bullied a lot when he was young, so he had dreamed of being a Kung Fu master.

When he was little, he used to go to a nearby temple to learn Kungfu from the monks and toughen his body.

Later, he joined the army and was selected into the special forces due to his excellent performance.

When Su Yu retired from the army, he began working for Su Yu.

The people he admired the most were good melee fighters and was always fascinated by the legends in the mercenary world.

When he was sent by the special force to catch a few bandits who knew Kung Fu, he had appreciated their abilities.

Later he worked for Su Yu and often engaged in fistfights to protect Su Yu, but killing was still a distant idea for him.

After all, China had the death penalty for killing people. Even powerful people like Su Yu wouldn’t violate the law.

So, he had never imagined that he would one day get to know a mercenary.

The legends about the Second Young Madam had spread out in the army secretly.

Some said the Second Young Madam was probably a man who tried to use this name to confuse the Interpol.

Some said the Second Young Madam might be the daughter of a country’s leader; she had learned Kung Fu at a very young age and had now established her own force.

Some even speculated that the Second Young Madam might be ugly, which was why she seldom showed her face in public.

There were lots of speculations about the woman who had killed countless people.

An had even dreamed that if Su Yu didn’t need his protection one day, he’d go and work for the Second Young Madam as a free mercenary, living a thrilling life. Of course, it was only a fantasy.

He had never imagined that Lu Yan, the pretty, adorable, and sometimes funny girl, was the notorious mercenary and a weirdo that frustrated Interpol, the terrorist Ian, and lots of the big figures in the mercenary world.

“An…” When they were almost at their destination, Lu Yan said.

“Huh?”

“The less you know about me, the better it is for you. Isn’t it a blessing that you can live an ordinary life?”

“I know. I won’t tell anyone.”

“No. I’m not afraid that you will tell people about me. I’m worried that you’d be in danger if you know too much. You must know that if my enemies stood in a line, the line would be so long that it could extend all the way to Mount Everest…”

Lu Yan stepped on the brakes and stopped the car at the gate of Seductive Fox.

“Let’s go up.”

That said, Lu Yan opened the door and walked upstairs.

Following her, An reached into his pocket and touched the roasted sweet potato he had bought for Lu Yan.

But now, he couldn’t find the courage to give it to her.

For him, Lu Yan was now a goddess, a goddess he could never reach.

When they returned to the compartment, Huo Mian beckoned at Lu Yan. “Yan, come here. Hurry up. Your brother-in-law is going to sing a song.”
