My Youth Began With Him

Her agent nodded with emphasis. “Yeah. He’ll be here.”

Han Yueyao couldn’t suppress her joy and smiled shyly.

Yuan Bo glanced at her and rolled his eyes.

“Han Yueyao, if we get first place, treat me to a meal. After all, I’ve worked hard for it.”

“Okay. I’ll treat you to spicy hot pot.”

In a great mood, she agreed.

Knowing Su Yu was watching the show, Han Yueyao gave the best performance of her life. But when the result was announced, they found they didn’t get first place.

The first place went to another pair; the man was unknown, but the woman was quite famous.

This pair didn’t do as well as Han Yueyao and Yuan Bo but the judges gave their votes to them.

Obviously, it was the result of a deal behind the scene.

Furious, the netizens watching the live show flooded the screen with bullet messages of curses.

“Damn. Are the judges blind? Han Yueyao and her partner did so well but they are not first place? I’m not happy.”

“Obviously the show did a shady deal.”

“Our poor Yuan Bo. He worked so hard but still didn’t get first place. The show is despicable. I hope our Bo won’t participate in such dumb shows in the future.”

“To be honest, Han Yueyao showed her solid dancing background as a former student of a dance school. She gave a great performance with an elegant style. I like her.”

“After watching the show, I’m now a fan of Han Yueyao and Yuan Bo. I hope they’ll end up together. They are a perfect match.”

“I support this couple; let’s protest the despicable show.”

In the end, Han Yueyao and Yuanbo got second place.

When they went up to receive the award, the hostess asked them to say something.

Dissatisfied with the result, Yuan Bo spoke only a few words.

But Han Yueyao was excited with the microphone in her hand.

She said earnestly, “I have many people to thank for today’s achievement. I want to thank my partner Yuan Bo for not abandoning me when I got injured; I want to thank my agent and assistant for spending all their time with me; I want to thank my fans for cheering me up on Weibo and even mailing gifts to my company. It’s very heart-warming… Finally, I want to thank our company and our boss. I want to thank President Su for giving me this chance. I didn’t get the first place, but I know you won’t be disappointed because you know I’ve done my best. You kept your promise and came to watch the show. I truly appreciate it.”

Then she bowed deeply to the audience.

The camera turned to Su Yu.

He looked calm. After all, he didn’t care for the result of the small contest; he just used this opportunity to get the public to know Han Yueyao.

Hearing her words of appreciation, he just smiled and nodded.

The reporters kept taking pictures of him.

After the contest, Yuan Bo and Han Yueyao walked out of the venue.

“I didn’t help you get the first place. It seems I lost a meal of spicy hot pot.”

“Not at all. The promise still stands even though we lost.” Han Yueyao chuckled.

“Really? Deal.”

“Tell me when you want to eat it. I’ll keep my word and fill your belly.”

Yuan Bo put on sunglasses and a mask and left in a van with his agent.

Han Yueyao walked out and saw Su Yu’s car stopped at the gate.

An sat behind the steering wheel and Su Yu sat in the passenger seat.

“President Su…” Seeing Su Yu come back intact, Han Yueyao felt very happy.

“Get in the car.” Su Yu gestured for her to get in with a jerk of his head.
