My Youth Began With Him

“Uh… I just had too much to drink and bumped into a wall by accident…” Tang Chuan explained.

“Why were you so careless!”

“So what’s up Mom? I was just about to get a drink with Su Yu. I’ll talk to you when I get home…” Then, Tang Chuan turned around and was about to leave.

“No. You must come home tonight. We need to talk about your engagement…” Tang Chuan’s mother was normally a loving and amiable person but this time, she sounded very resolute.

“Um…”

“Auntie’s calling you home. We can drink another day…” Su Yu saw the situation so he immediately backed out and ran.

Then, Tang Chuan followed his mother. They got into a Bentley to go back to the Tang residence.

– Tang Residence –

In the Tang residence, the whole family was surrounding Tang Chuan and questioning him.

“So the situation is like this and Ning’s background is like this…” Tang Chuan explained to the family as he saw there was nothing he could hide.

When Tang Chuan’s mother heard the whole story, she said, “She comes from a good family. GK Corporation is huge. Regardless of it being in the States or in China, it’s a great company! The problem is how long can you last with this girl? She’s still young, isn’t she? Does she want to settle down?”

“Mom, you’re thinking too much. We’re in love, and we haven’t considered that yet… Also, I love her because she has good looks, a nice body, character, and temper, not because of the fact that she’s one of the successors of the GK Corporation. I told you everything so you won’t have to worry about me. Can you just leave everything else to me?”

“I just thought you acted brazenly because you wanted to show off to that b*tch Jin Ying…” Tang Chuan’s mother said seriously.

“I felt terrible when Jin Ying and uncle came but I was absolutely sober… Time heals all wounds. She’s not that important to me anymore. Mom, can you not underestimate your son?”

“It’s best if you weren’t…” Tang Chuan’s mother nodded.

“I heard from your third uncle that they’re getting divorced. Although my brother isn’t the best guy in the world and he’s been cheating on Jin Ying, Jin Ying isn’t a simple woman either. Chuan, you should stay as far away from her as possible…” Tang Chuan’s aunt warned him.

“I know. You guys don’t have to worry about me. I don’t even want to deal with my third uncle, regardless of being personal or business. I’ll leave whatever is related to you guys. Okay, I’m tired. I’m going to bed…” Tang Chuan said. Then, he turned around and walked away.

Tang Chuan was different from Su Yu. Su Yu would go home frequently but Tang Chuan doesn’t go home often.

After he moved out, he didn’t even go home during the Chinese New Year. He was already used to being independent.

Tang Chuan drove home to his mansion.

The first thing he did when he got in was to take out his phone and send a message to Qin Ning on WeChat.

Tang Chuan wrote, “Hello my fiancée. Are you asleep?”

Qin Ning wrote back, “Get lost!”

Tang Chuan wrote, “If you tell me to get lost, I will get lost. But if you regret that, I’ll come running back immediately, no matter how far I went.”

Qin Ning: “…”

Tang Chuan responded, “Okay… No more jokes. I really wanted to thank you for what you did for me in front of Jin Ying.”

Qin Ning said, “So a thank you is enough? How about an apology?”

Qin Ning was clearly referring to the forced kiss…

Tang Chuan said, “Apology? For what? What’s wrong with kissing my fiancée?”

Qin Ning said, “This again? Who is your fiancée? Stop thinking so highly of yourself!”

Tang Chuan responded, “We need to be responsible for our promises. Young Madam Qin. You were the one that admitted you were my fiancée… Are you eating your words now? Well, I don’t care. From now on, you’re my fiancée!”

Qin Ning said, “You wish.”

Tang Chuan said, “So Ning-Ning, can you stay? I’ll miss you if you go back to the States.”

Qin Ning didn’t respond.

After a while, she suddenly asked, “So now… are you completely over that woman?”
