My Youth Began With Him

“Haha. Don’t worry. They’re with me.” Huo Siyi laughed, fairly proud of himself.

“Please don’t hurt them. I’m the one you’re after.” Huo Mian was very worried about her daughters.

“Don’t worry… you’re right, I’m after you.”

“How much money do you want? I’ll give you the money as long as you promise not to hurt my daughters. Not even a hair can be missing or else I’ll kill you…” Huo Mian started to threaten Huo Siqian.

“You better figure out what position you’re in. Your daughters are with me so I’m in charge. You are not in a position to threaten or negotiate with me… I don’t know if they’ll lose a hair or two. What I do know though, is that if you don’t follow my orders, you’re going to be left with two corpses…” Huo Siyi threatened.

“Huo Siyi, I’m begging you. Don’t kill them… They’re still young. They’re innocent. They have nothing to do with this… You hate me so you can take revenge upon me. I’ll do anything you say…”

“Good. I’m glad you’re so understanding.” This was the effect Huo Siyi wanted – Huo Mian’s desperation.

“How much money do you want? I’ll have someone prepare it for you.” Huo Mian was desperate. She wanted to save the twins now.

“Oh. Do you think you can pacify my hatred with just money?” Huo Siyi spoke in a cruel tone.

“What do you want then?” Huo Mian had to lower her voice because she didn’t want Su Yu, who was standing outside, to hear her.

“You have to come alone. You can’t tell the police or Qin Chu where you’re going. No one can know.”

“Yes, I’ll come, but will you let my children go?” Huo Mian tried to feel out what he was going to do.

“Of course. It’s just exchanging hostages,” Huo Siyi said.

“Okay. When?”

“You can come now. I’ll call you to update you.”

“No. You can’t call me. If I’m gone, Qin Chu will check my phone and see my phone records. It’s better if you change the plan…” Huo Mian knew she was going to be tracked and that may agitate Huo Siyi. If he was agitated, her children would be in danger.

Huo Siyi did follow Huo Mian’s suggestion.

He thought she was speaking the truth so he nodded and said, “Then leave right now. Go to the intersection of Tangshan Road… a black van will be waiting for you. Just get on the car. Make sure no one follows you or else I won’t show any mercy to your kids.”

“Don’t hurt them. I’ll do whatever you say as long as you promise me to let them go if I come.”

“Just come. I’ll decide on that later. I told you, you have no right to negotiate with me.” Then, Huo Siyi hung up.

When Huo Mian came out of the washroom, she hid the earphones. She still held her phone in her hand but looked very casual.

“You don’t look so good. Are you okay?” Su Yu went up to support her.

“I’m okay.” Huo Mian shook her head.

Suddenly, she closed her eyes and fainted. Luckily, Su Yu was right by her side.

Otherwise, she would have fallen to the ground. Su Yu was petrified by the sight.

He carried Huo Mian over to the bed and ran to the door to call a doctor.

“Doctor, doctor, come… She fainted…”

Su Yu didn’t think too much and immediately went out to call for help.

However, as soon as Su Yu went out the door, Huo Mian opened her eyes and ran out of the room.
