“Yes, Mr. Qin… so, will you marry me?”

“What will I get out of marrying you?” Mr. Qin began acting arrogant.

“A lot of perks.”

“Like?” Qin Chu smiled, and Huo Mian replied with confidence, “I can cook.”

“So can I.”

“I can wash clothes.”

“We have a washing machine at home.”

“I can warm up your bed…” Huo Mian decided to pull out her big guns.

Upon hearing this, Mr. Qin thought about it. “Enticing, but your skills are so-so, you have to work harder…”

“Haha, Qin Chu, stop it!” Huo Mian threw a magazine at him, and the latter caught it perfectly in his hand.

“I’m intrigued by your proposal.”

“So don’t hesitate, just say ‘yes’. I’m not a patient person.”

“Didn’t you say you wanted to wait until May? You don’t want to anymore? It doesn’t sound like you.”

Qin Chu wondered why Huo Mian suddenly wanted to hold a wedding ceremony. She was such a calm person, so why would she be in such a hurry? Were there other reasons behind this decision?

“I don’t want to wonder if another woman’s going to steal you from me… so, I’ve decided to take the initiative.”

“If that’s the case, I have nothing else to say.” Qin Chu smiled as she walked over to Huo Mian and carried her up from the couch, bridal style.

“Then I’ll ask a designer to custom-make your dress and my tux.” Qin Chu kissed the top of her nose, but Huo Mian shook her head. “We don’t need a designer, it’s going to take too long. Let’s buy them at a shop here in C City.”

“Really? Just like that?” Qin Chu was surprised.

“It’s just a formality, so these minor details don’t matter… plus, there’s no guarantee that designers are going to make prettier dresses.”

“Okay then, you’re the boss. What about the rings?” Qin Chu continued to ask.

“GK Jewelry has a bunch we can choose from, let’s pick a pair of couple wedding bands.”

“Wow, you’re not picky at all.” Qin Chu was at a loss for words.

“Nope, I’m not picky. Let’s just get married at one of GK’s hotels.”

“Honey… what’s going on? Does our wedding have to be held in such a hurry?”

“It’s not in a hurry. We have all these resources in hand, so it doesn’t make sense to look elsewhere.”

“Um…” Qin Chu didn’t know how to respond, and Huo Mian took the opportunity to put her arms around his neck and say coyishly, “Honey, please?”

“Sure, whatever you say.”

Finally, Qin Chu admitted defeat in front of Huo Mian’s perseverance.

After discussing, they decided to ignore the company’s current scandals and head over to GK Jewelry to look at wedding rings. Then, they tried out wedding dresses at a bridal shop.

Since they didn’t purposely avoid the media, quite a few reporters snatched photos of them while they were doing all these things.

That evening, the headlines of all newspapers were something around the lines of ‘GK’s President Qin tried out rings and dresses with his wife, are they getting married?’

Curious netizens who didn’t know what was happening wondered, “Aren’t they already married?”

Yes, they were, but this was their wedding ceremony. Huo Mian and Qin Chu got their marriage license discreetly, and they just never held a celebration.

People of their status had to hold a wedding, sooner or later.

Originally, Qin Chu’s father wanted them to hold the wedding in May, but Huo Mian didn’t want to wait anymore. Therefore, bystanders began speculating when the big day would be.

Apparently, a GK source claimed that they were getting married in two weeks, but no one knew if it was true.

This news immediately caused a ripple in C City…
