My Youth Began With Him

Her first wish was to be with Qin Chu forever.

Her second wish was to see her real family.

Her third wish was to have a baby with Qin Chu.

These were Huo Mian’s pressure points and also her deepest wishes.

She was not one to repeat something over and over again, so she never mentioned these wishes to Qin Chu. However, they were in her heart this entire time.

If gods, spirits, and Buddha really existed on this earth, she hoped they could hear her.

She hoped that they would be touched by her sincerity and give her the strength to realize her wishes.

She didn’t wish for money and riches; all she wanted was to live peacefully. She and Qin Chu didn’t need wealth, power, status, or fame…

All she wanted was to grow old with him, but Huo Mian didn’t know if her wishes could become reality. It was what she wanted, that was all.

After a long day, the two of them walked down the mountain, exhausted and hungry. On their way back to the city, they were both starving when Qin Chu drove past a restaurant… Unable to control her hunger, Huo Mian asked Qin Chu to stop.

They ordered some stir-fry dishes at this small restaurant, but the food was delicious. Perhaps they were just too hungry…

Zhixin was back in New Zealand. When he first returned, he called Huo Mian every day. But later, he got so busy that he forgot…

The days passed by and soon, the first month of the lunar calendar was over, marking the end of Chinese New Year.

At South Side’s beginning-of-the-year meeting, Huo Mian resigned from her position as the chairman of the Huo Foundation.

Her decision shocked everyone, but Director Wu approved her resignation without asking too many questions.

Huo Siqian didn’t understand Huo Mian’s decision, so he sent her a WeChat message that day.

“Why did you resign from the Huo Foundation?”

“I’m just too busy…”

“I can ask Director Wu to lessen your workload.”

“No thanks, I like my job, and I want to do what a neurology physician is supposed to do. I don’t want to manage a foundation like a businesswoman…”

“Haha… but you’re in charge of the Mian Foundation,” Huo Siqian laughed.

“That’s different…”

“How so?” Huo Siqian continued probing.

“My husband established the Mian Foundation for me, it’s my own family’s foundation… the Huo Corporation has nothing to do with me anymore…”

“Oh… so to you, I’m an outsider?” Huo Siqian sneered.

Huo Mian didn’t reply… but her answer was obvious.

That evening, Huo Siqian withdrew the Huo Foundation from South Side, shocking all the doctors and executives.

Huo Mian knew that he withdrew the foundation because he was angry.

However, to ensure the patients at South Side could continue receiving treatment, that night Huo Mian announced that Mian Foundation would be sponsoring South Side from now on.

Director Wu didn’t say anything… He just let Huo Mian make these decisions.

It was obvious that Huo Mian was officially drawing boundaries with Huo Siqian…

At Snooker Celebrity Night, Huo Siqian said something to Qin Chu that caused him to lose the competition.

Although Qin Chu didn’t tell Huo Mian exactly what he said, she had a feeling that it had something to do with her.

Plus, she had been feeling restless and therefore slowly came to the realization that she had to clean away the possible dangers in her life. Huo Siqian was the first one on that list.

However, Huo Mian never thought what she did would help Huo Siqian accelerate his conspiracy…

That night, Qin Chu was working overtime while Huo Mian watched TV at home. Suddenly, a piece of news shocked her to her core.

The piece of land Mayor Song agreed to give to GK was officially allotted to Huo Corporation.

Just as Huo Mian was about to pick up her phone and call Qin Chu, she heard the doorknob turn…

Qin Chu was home.
