My Youth Began With Him

“I’ll see you in a bit, Sister Huo Mian.” Before Huo Mian could speak, Ni Yang decisively hung up the phone…

Huo Mian felt like she was floating when she returned to the conference room…

It was as if everything that had just happened was an illusion. She didn’t put too much hope in Ni Yang, since they didn’t know each other for too long yet, and it was a big favor that she was asking.

However, truth be told, she knew from the beginning that Huo Siqian would agree, as long as she called.

Huo Mian wore a very simple assemble today. She planned to go to work this morning, so she only wore black straight-legged jeans and a nude-pink shirt paired with a little white jacket.

Assistant Yang immediately stood up when she came back. “Young Madam, we have less than an hour left.”

“I know.” Huo Mian nodded.

Then she slowly picked up a water bottle on the table, twisted it open, and took a sip.

“So… what should we do?’

“Well, we’ll know in half an hour.”

“Know what?” asked Assistant Yang eagerly.

“Mo Xue’er and Ni Yang will be here within half an hour. They will sign contracts and then walk the red carpet…”

“Pish…” Jiang Linyue laughed, just as Huo Mian finished speaking.

“Young Madam, are you joking around with us? Mo Xue’er? That prideful international film queen that has her nose raised all the way up into the sky? She’ll sign with us? She wouldn’t even go to Imperial Star, and apparently, she’s planning to sign with a Hollywood agency, plus…”

“No offense, Director Jiang, but I don’t have any time to joke around with you. You guys shouldn’t sit around. Go on and get busy with your own things. Everything needs to prepare for the opening ceremony.”

Huo Mian then tilted her head and looked at Assistant Yang. “Get me a dress too, I can’t wear this onto the red carpet.”

Huo Mian had completely committed herself, and even though she hated being on camera and being exposed if Qin Chu couldn’t come back, then she would have to walk the red carpet for him and hold the place up.

“Okay, Young Madam, please wait.”

“Are you guys really going to believe that woman? She’s definitely bluffing! Those two stars won’t come. This is just too insane…” Jiang Linyue thought that Huo Mian was delusional.

Maybe the pressure was too great, so she became delusional…

However, the others all listened to Huo Mian, especially Assistant Yang. He didn’t acknowledge what Jiang Linyue said at all.

They all went on to do their own things…

Huo Mian wore a long white dress Assistant Yang had someone bring over. It was an off-shoulder design that was very simple, but very elegant.

This dress was said to be the newest style from Chanel, and just a day ago, Victoria Beckham, the wife of the famous football star David Beckham, wore it to fashion week. It was a very graceful dress, without any loud patterns or designs, but enough to be incredibly stunning.

Huo Mian calmly sat down after she changed into the dress and let the makeup artist work away.

“Put a lot of makeup on me. It’s best if I am unrecognizable.”

“Okay, Young Madam.”

Huo Mian thought that she might as well put on more exaggerating makeup so that not many people would be able to recognize her.

– Half an hour later –

Huo Mian stood up after the makeup was done…

Assistant Yang was shocked when he entered…

“Young Madam?” then, he asked with uncertainty.

“Yes, it’s me,” Huo Mian replied calmly.

The young madam Assistant Yang saw was no longer the woman he saw an hour ago.

Huo Mian, who barely ever wore makeup, was now lathered with an exaggerating smokey-eye makeup.

Her eyeliner went all the way up, and she looked very alluring. There were also three changing colors in her eyeshadow – a nice combination of black, grey, and brown.

Her lips were very red, very sophisticated and very beautiful…

If someone else wore this style, they would be seen as a monster, yet it looked very attractive on Huo Mian’s face.

“No one would recognize you like this, Young Madam.”

“That’s the effect I want.” That’s right, she didn’t want anyone to recognize her.

“Uhm…” Assistant Yang thought that the young madam was just as weird as the president.

‘If they weren’t from the same family, then they wouldn’t walk into the same door,’ was quite an accurate saying…

Just then, the female public relations supervisor ran over in high heels. “Young… Young Madam, Assistant Yang, wonderful news. Ni Yang and Mo Xue’er have both arrived and are waiting to sign the contracts.”

“Huh… where’s the young madam?” The public relations supervisor was also confused.
