S.P.E.C.T.O.R – [A Sci-fi space adventure with fantasy elements]

The group were relaxing in comfy chairs on the porch after playing in the ocean when they suddenly heard the sound of footsteps climbing the steps that led up to the porch.

“Ugh, finally I’m here, I can’t wait to relax on the beach.” Lady Erkath said as she climbed the steps and stepped onto the porch, surprising everyone except Rowena, who wore her signature smirk.

“Lady Erkath.” Lorelie said in surprise before adding, “Welcome, please make yourself at home.”

“Thank you for allowing me to stay here, Diva Lorelie, though by your response, I take it this troublesome blood sucker didn’t tell you I was coming,” Erkath replied while shooting Rowena a withering glare.

“No, she refused to say who was coming, only that it was a ‘friend’.”

“Sounds about right,” Erkath said as she dropped into one of the comfy chairs.

“Well, I suppose some introductions are in order.” Rowena began. “You, of course, already know Lorelie, and this is Tephe.”

“Hi,” Cheerfully Tephe said.

“Hello Tephe,” Erkath said with a smile.

“This is my granddaughter, Stacey.”

“Lady Erkath,” Stacey said politely.

“Ah, so this is the granddaughter you have told me so much about,” Erkath said with a chuckle.

“She has?” Stacey asked in surprise.

“Yes indeed,” Erkath replied.

“And this is Adam Spencer, the one whose ship we were travelling on.”

“Ah, the mysterious host.” Erkath said as she studied Adam with interest before saying, “It’s incredible how Terran you look.”

“So I have been told, it’s a pleasure, Lady Erkath,” Adam replied.

“I know, right? I was surprised myself when I first saw his appearance.” Rowena stated.

“If I may ask, are you not the former Senator for the Hades Galaxy? How did you come to own a popular clothing brand?” Adam asked.

“Girls gotta make a living.” Erkath replied with a shrug before explaining, “After having had enough of politics and stepping down from my position as senator, I quickly got bored because I had nothing to do at home. So in the end, I decided to start my own business, and a clothing brand seemed like a decent choice. Luckily, my reputation helped it grow, and it’s doing quite well.

Why interested in buying shares in it?” Erkath added with a wink.

“No thanks, I was just curious how a politician goes from being a senator to owning a clothing company,” Adam replied.

“Fair enough. Rowena said you had a business opportunity for me?”

“I do, however, it can wait a day or two since you’re so keen to relax on the beach.”

“I won’t refuse your generosity.”

“So are you ready to go?” Lorelie asked eagerly.

It was the next day, and Adam and Lorelie were about to head out on their ‘date’ to watch a Water Sphere game.

Adam knew that Stacey was still a bit sour about the whole sharing him thing, even though she was the one who told Lorelie to go for it, so last night Adam had given her his undivided attention in her bedroom until she was satisfied and even now she was still asleep.

They were both dressed in casual attire, with Lorelie wearing an Oceana Abes team t-shirt.

“Of course,” Adam replied before asking. “How are we getting there? The same hovercar as before?”

“Nope, we’re taking my hoverbike and you’re driving,” Lorelie said as she led the way towards a building that was slightly set off from the house with large doors on the front.

As she opened what turned out to be a garage of sorts, the doors slid sideways to reveal parked inside at least twelve different hover vehicles, including several expensive-looking cars and bikes.

“Can hoverbikes travel over water? Also, I didn’t realise you were into cars and bikes?” Adam asked.

“They can, and I have a friend who gets me a good deal on any of the new limited edition models before they hit the showroom floor,” Lorelie replied before walking towards the selection of hoverbikes that were parked down one side of the garage.

“Have you ridden or driven all of these?” Adam asked.

“Unfortunately, no, I have not been home enough recently to have the opportunity.”

“Then why don’t you drive?”

Lorelie blushed and looked away before saying in a low “Because I want to experience what Stacey did on your stream.”

”Haha, oh really?” Adam replied after a chuckle before asking. “Which do you want to ride then?”

“The Meteor,” Lorelie replied while pointing to a fiery-red hoverbike near them.

“The Meteor, it is then,” Adam said before swinging his leg over and sitting atop the hoverbike.

“Let me give you access so you can use it,” Lorelie said.

But as she was about to do so, Adam held his uniband over the hoverbike while saying, “No need.”

[[Access granted]]

The hoverbike came to life, causing Lorelie to smile and say, “You damn thief.”

“Says the beauty who wants this thief to take her for a ride.”

“Hey!” Lorelie replied as she smacked Adam’s shoulder with a smirk before quickly climbing on the hoverbike behind him and wrapping her arms around his waist as her ample breasts pressed into his back.

He took a moment to enjoy the feeling before asking, “You ready?”

“Yup,” Lorelie replied happily.

Adam nodded before he turned the throttle, causing The Meteor to shoot out of the garage and off towards the forest as Lorelie’s long turquoise hair flew behind her.

“Is it just me, or do those two look like they’re going out on a date?” Erkath asked as she and Rowena sat on the porch drinking.

“That’s because they are,” Rowena replied with her signature smirk.

“You’re kidding. The Virgin Diva is actually going on a date with a guy?” Erkath asked in shock.

“Virgin Diva? What the hell’s that?” Rowena asked with a frown.

“It’s a nickname given to Lorelie on Xer-verse.”

“Really? Why have I never heard of it?”

“Because you and Lorelie have a similar circle of friends in the entertainment industry. The Virgin Diva is a nickname started by Pherise“

“Pherise isn’t she a singer that is on the cusp of becoming a Diva and is signed with Drotas Entertainment?”

“That’s right, Drotas Entertainment was anticipating that she would replace Lorelie as a Diva.

However, that theory was proven wrong after Lorelie secured her position as a diva and even claimed the number one spot. Since then, Pherise has started calling Lorelie the Virgin Diva without actually naming her.”

“So she’s salty that she didn’t become a Diva and is trying to damage Lorelie’s reputation?”

“Yeah, though it’s kind of a crap way to do it, don’t you agree?”

“Well, yeah, how is calling her a virgin a bad thing?”

“Well, no one said Pherise was smart, but I guess Drotas Entertainment couldn’t find any real dirt on Lorelie, and so they went with this.”

“They have to know that allowing one of their singers to insult her won’t help them in getting Lorelie to sign with them again?”

“I honestly don’t think they expect to be able to get Lorelie to sign back with them after everything they did to her, so I expect they’re using Pherise to try and ruin her reputation until they figure out how to get rid of her permanently. I mean, they already tried once, right?”

“You have a point, I mean, with Lorelie’s current popularity, they would need something on her that’s seriously bad to damage her reputation.”

“Should we warn her and Adam about this?” Erkath asked.

“Lorelie mentioned before that she is already concerned that Drotas Entertainment will try something again, but it wont hurt to mention this information to her. However, let’s wait until after their date.”

“Speaking of their date, can you imagine how the press and Xer-verse are going to react after they hear about this?”

“Oh yeah.” Rowena replied with her signature smirk before adding, “With how Water Sphere matches are broadcast live and her identity, she is totally going to appear on the Sportscast with him.”

“We will be dropping out of FTL in a few minutes; you both know your assignments?” One hundred and five asked.

“I’m on disabling security in the docking bay.” One hundred and fifty-three replied.

“Do we really need to go through our roles for such a simple job?” One hundred and seventy-eight complained.

“Yes, we do, we go through the plan before every mission, you know that one seventy-eight.” One hundred and five replied in an annoyed tone.

“Fucking rookie.” One hundred and fifty-three said with a smirk.

“Fuck you one fifty-three. Do you want to go right now?”

“This is why I said you’re a rookie, we’re on a job, and here you are wanting to fight me.”

“Pussy, once this mission is over, we’re doing this.”

“Shut the fuck up, both of you, unless you want me to report your attitude in my report.” One hundred and five said angrily, making them both go quiet before adding, “Now report one seventy-eight.”

“I’m on hacking the ship.” One hundred and seventy-eight replied in a bored tone.
