S.P.E.C.T.O.R – [A Sci-fi space adventure with fantasy elements]

”Take that, hahahaha, I got you now.”

”Oh yeah, eat my falcon kick.”

”Nooooo,” Adam yelled as his character was blasted off the screen, causing it to say.

[[Player 2 Wins.]]

”HHAHAHAHA.” Stacey laughed happily as she jumped up off the sofa and flung her hands in the air.

”That’s right, who’s the best?” she asked as she turned to Adam with a smug grin.

”Mumble,” Adam said.

”Huh?” Stacey said as she leaned over him with her hand against her ear.

Adam was about to respond when Spector suddenly spoke up.

”*ALERT*”

However, before Spector could continue, she suddenly jolted, causing Stacey, who was already leaning over Adam, to fall on top of him.

[Launching stream.]

[[Stream description below:]]

[[Stream Title: Attacked while transporting precious cargo]]

[[Mission Parameters: While transporting precious cargo along with its owner you have been attacked and forced out of FTL by a Thunderstorm EMP bomb.]]

[[Missions Goal: Protect precious the cargo and it’s owner by defeating those attacking you.]]

[Forever1stCommenter (Earth): First.]

[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): What’s he doing?]

[Puntanghunter69 (Earth): Finally, my man’s getting some action and is even streaming it.]

[OfficialLorelie (Imperial Down): …]

[Justiceistruth: (Earth): Is that a Bintendo Change on the table?]

[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): That’s what you’re focused on?]

[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): Was he and that Terran chick about to get it on when they were suddenly attacked? Talk about a major cock-block lol.]

[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): Virgins shouldn’t speak of such things.]

[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): WHA? Bitch.]

[Gunlovergirl (Earth): Virgins shouldn’t speak of such things + 1]

[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): …]

[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): HAHAHAHA Practically every female viewer in here agrees, virgin boy.]

”What happened?” Adam asked as Stacey pushed herself away from him with slightly flushed cheeks.

”I have been knocked out of FTL by a Thunderstorm EMP bomb, and a large class ship is quickly approaching on an intercept course,” Spector answered before adding.

”Time to intercept, one minute ten seconds.”

”Shit, wait here,” Adam said as he shot up from the couch and dashed for the door before heading for the cockpit.

💫💫💫

”Haha fuck yeah, it worked.” The man said as he saw Spector suddenly appear on the viewscreen as it was forced out of FTL.

”Perhaps, but sensors show that they still have power.” The woman replied.

”How the fuck is that possible? A Thunderstorm is powerful enough to knock out all power on a cruiser-class ship.”

”I don’t know, our scanners can’t seem to penetrate their hull. The only reason I know they still have power is because their shields are still up and they’re turning in our direction.”

”Well then, hit them with the distortion cannons.”

”Do you really think the distortion cannons will be able to do what a Thunderstorm couldn’t?”

”Then what do you suggest?”

”I have an idea, but I need to go to engineering. You take over for a while and keep them busy.” The woman said before she quickly left the bridge.

”Wha!”

💫💫💫

”Status report,” Adam said as he entered the cockpit and took his seat.

”Star Drive is temporarily offline; however, other than that, all systems are normal,” Spector responded.

[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): How is his ship still functional after being hit with a Thunderstorm EMP bomb?]

[Whostolemyduck (Earth): What’s the deal with this bomb?]

As the chat talked about the bomb, Adam controlled Spector to turn and head towards the enemy ship before opening fire with the 3 laser repeaters.

The laser energy struck the enemy ship’s shields but failed to penetrate them before the two ships got close enough that the enemy ship started returning fire.

”The enemy appears to be using distortion cannons against us, which, combined with the Thunderstorm EMP bomb, suggests they wish to disable rather than destroy me,” Spector informed as the enemy weapon fire hit her shields.

”I guess our cargo is more valuable than I anticipated,” Adam replied as he continued to return fire.

[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): It looks like it’s a stalemate.]

[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Well, the enemy large class vessel is only using distortion cannons.]

[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): True, but their distortion cannons are obviously not powerful enough to drain the streamers’ shields. I mean it somehow withstood a Thunderstorm EMP.]

[Tessisdabest (Imperial Down): True, the only reason the FTL drive is offline is because they are delicate pieces of equipment and are especially weak to EMP blasts.]

Spector and the large class vessel continued to fire upon one another until Spector suddenly said, ”I’m detecting a small class ship launching from the large class ship’s hangar.”

The viewscreen and stream switched to show the small ship fly out of the hangar before heading in Spector’s direction.

[Leonthemoneygiver (Earth): Are they planning to go 2v1?]

[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): That makes no sense, with Spector’s shields holding steady, a small class ship’s firepower won’t make any difference.]

”*ALERT*”

”Oh, now what?” Adam asked in concern since Spector only seemed to say that when there was a possibility of it being damaged.

”Massive build-up of energy in the enemy ship’s reactor, probably of self-destruct… one hundred per cent. Advise immediately moving away from the enemy ship.”

”What!” Adam replied in shock before he had Spector veer away at high speeds.

[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): Why the hell are they activating their self-destruct?]

[SciFifanboy (Earth):  Self-destruct! That’s so Sci-FI!]

[Gunlovergirl (Earth): Is it a malfunction?]

[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): Maybe it’s a crazy new strategy.]

[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): Your comment is what’s crazy.]

A few seconds later, Adam and the chat watched as the enemy ship self-destructed in spectacular fashion.

[StealthAssassin9 (Earth):  Damn, those are some mighty fine fireworks.]

[Justiceistruth: (Earth): Agreed, it’s my first time witnessing a ship self-destruct live.]

[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): The small class ship is still on the move and is approaching, though.]

[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): Heh, I would have thought it would have run after its mothership self-destructed. Kekeke]

[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): I guess that’s why the small ship launched, they must have abandoned ship.]

”Adam saw the chat and decided to ask Spector, ”How many lifeforms were aboard the ship when it self-destructed?”

”My sensors indicate that two life forms were still aboard while one left aboard the small class ship just prior.”

”What the hells going on?”

[Vinnaka (Felinia 6): Was it sabotage?]

[Werewolf1987 (Caniniar 4): Maybe, but for what reason?]

Adam watched as the small class ship approached Spector, before he could decide to open fire upon it; however, he received a communication request from it.

Adam thought for a moment before accepting the call.

”Few, I was worried you would ignore my communication request and fire upon me.” A beautiful woman with short black hair and brown eyes said with a nervous smile as the call connected.

”And why shouldn’t I still attack you? You did, after all, knock my ship out of FTL for a reason.” Adam asked in return.

”Hehe, yeah, but there was a good reason for that.” The woman replied after a nervous giggle.

”Then I suggest you explain quickly.”

”Ok, ok, just hear me out. You have a woman called Stacey Sinclair on board right and you’re transporting both her and her cargo to Trillion.”

”You’re giving me more and more reasons to open fire here. I suggest you get to the point.” Adam threatened.

”Ok, ok, I will, I will. I’m not after the cargo; that’s what those two perverted idiots wanted. I’m here to bring Stacey to her grandmother.”

”Who’s her grandmother, and why should I believe you?”

”Her grandmother is Diva Rowena Nosferatu, and I’m her familiar.” The woman replied with pride.

”What?” Adam asked in surprise.

… What?]

[OfficialLorelie (Imperial Down): …]

[Pokemonking0924 (Mobius 2.0): Diva Rowena Nosferatu?]

[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): As in that Diva model that looked like a vampire we saw before?]

[Superhearofangirl (Earth): She has a daughter… no wait, granddaughter?]

[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): Not really surprising that you don’t know? Diva Rowana has been married many times in her life and has several children and grandchildren; she is several centuries old after all.]

[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): When she says familiar, is she talking about those people who serve vampires with the hopes of being turned into one?]

[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): They’re called Brood, but otherwise you’re correct, yes.]

[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): Many individuals who are born to races with limited lifespans dream of being chosen to be a Brood’s familiar. Being turned into a Brood is one of the few ways for them to live forever.]

[Ayato_Kanzaki (Earth): How long do they have to serve the Brood?]

[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): It differs with each Brood as the more powerful the Brood that turns you, the more powerful you will become when you turn.]

[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): Diva Rowena Nosferatu, for example, is a very old pure blooded Brood, as you know; however, she is also from one of the most powerful and influential Brood families, making her exceptionally powerful. This woman would no doubt be very powerful herself after being turned; however, she would likely have to serve most of her life before being turned.]
