I Just Want to Cultivate Quietly and Farm

Chapter 866: Chapter 457: Tianyan’s Scheme

Time flies, and three months have passed.

Li Mu steered the Earth Element Spirit Ship through the void and returned to the Central State Spirit Realm, arriving at the Seven Profound Sect.

”Sect Master, you have returned at last! Vice Sect Master Tianyan, he, he has gone missing.”

Just as Li Mu stepped into the Sect Leader’s Mansion, intending to summon the Sect Elders to inquire about the sect’s affairs, Third Elder Qin Wentong arrived first, reporting urgently.

”I’m already aware of this matter. Fellow Daoist Tianyan, he, he likely has fallen.” Li Mu was not surprised at all, speaking in a deep voice.

Upon hearing this, Qin Wentong’s face tightened, and he asked worriedly, ”Sect Master, what exactly happened?”

Li Mu chuckled bitterly and informed Qin Wentong about encountering Bu Mie Demon Lord during his travels: ”Bu Mie Demon Lord probably captured Fellow Daoist Tianyan first and then forced him to reveal my whereabouts. Given Bu Mie Demon Lord’s nature, he is likely in peril!”

”Bu Mie Demon Lord, how could this be! Wasn’t he eliminated last time by you and the seniors of the Sword Sect!” Qin Wentong opened his eyes wide in disbelief, feeling extremely shocked that Bu Mie Demon Lord was still alive.

”The means of the Demon Cultivator are elusive and unpredictable. Fortunately, he is truly dead now! It’s considered as avenging Fellow Daoist Tianyan.” Li Mu sighed, looking at Qin Wentong and asked with concern: ”Elder Qin, how is the state within the sect during my absence? Are there any important news or events I should be aware of?”

Qin Wentong immediately put away his shocked expression, regaining the composure and calmness of a Sect Elder. After pondering for a moment, he responded: ”Sect Master, during your absence, the sect has been generally stable. The disciples are diligently cultivating, and several elders have returned, attentively overseeing defensive actions and various affairs of the sect. However, a few small matters need to be reported to you.”

”Oh? Let me hear them.” Li Mu gestured for Qin Wentong to continue.

”One matter is regarding the Vice Sect Master, before he disappeared, he seemed to be gathering resources for an Array Formation, but before he could complete it, he vanished!” Qin Wentong nodded and explained.

”Oh! Where is the formation array located?” Li Mu was astonished and asked with concern.

After leaving, how could the Tianyan Divine Monarch go about gathering resources for an Array Formation, did he discover something!

Thinking of this, Li Mu had a sudden realization, remembering the Five Elements Yin Yang Spirit Gathering Array formed by the Seven Main Peaks of the Seven Profound Sect. It was not just a Spirit Gathering Array, but the Mother Array within the Mother and Child Array, gathering Yin and Yang, Power of the Five Elements, paired with the Child Array – Five Elements Shifting Array, gathering Power of the Five Elements, breaking through the Space-Time Barrier, and reaching a certain secret realm.

That Child Array - Five Elements Shifting Array is hidden within the sect’s Treasure Vault, could the Tianyan Divine Monarch have set his sights on this?

”Located at Wangyun Peak!” Qin Wentong looked at Li Mu with doubt and replied.

Li Mu furrowed his brow; Wangyun Peak was outside the Seven Main Peaks, an inconspicuous short peak, could it be a wrong guess.

”Hmm, I will personally go to Wangyun Peak to explore later. Besides this, Elder Qin, are there any other matters within the sect?” Li Mu nodded, pondered for a while, and asked cautiously.

Qin Wentong’s eyes showed a hint of deep thought, his expression heavy as he replied: ”Yes, Sect Master, there is one matter that cannot be overlooked. Along with Vice Sect Master Tianyan’s disappearance, a newly promoted elder named Min Mo is also missing. If nothing unexpected occurs, she is very likely an inside agent planted by Bu Mie Demon Lord within our sect. There might be other hidden threats within the sect, this matter concerns the sect’s safety, we must be vigilant.”

Li Mu nodded, his expression becoming increasingly severe, Bu Mie Demon Lord wouldn’t spare any effort to ambush him far away, even falling as a result, fearing that the Demon Abyssal Forces continue to send people to hunt him down, this matter cannot be disregarded.

”Elder Qin has these concerns, showing steadiness and caution. Help me monitor the background of core disciples who entered the sect within the last hundred years, investigating them one by one to guard against unforeseen events.” Li Mu looked at Qin Wentong and instructed solemnly.

”Yes!” Qin Wentong nodded, then continued to brief Li Mu on the sect’s affairs.

After sending Qin Wentong off, Li Mu successively inspected the Seven Main Peaks, briefly conversed with the seven Divinity Transformation Avatars, checked the growth of the seven Tier Five Spirit Plants planted on the Spirit Peak, confirming their good growth, and couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.

Subsequently, Li Mu’s figure appeared at the summit of Wangyun Peak, observing the remnants of an Array Formation ahead, where the original formation was only half completed.

Under Innate Divine Power - Recognition of Ten Thousand Spirits, the attributes of the Array Formation remnants were revealed one by one in Li Mu’s eyes.

Li Mu pondered for a moment, then suddenly became enlightened, immediately understanding the Tianyan Divine Monarch’s intention. He couldn’t help but feel a bit fortunate for the Tianyan Divine Monarch’s fall, and sincerely admired his wisdom and courage.

Tianyan Divine Monarch had reconstructed his Spirit Root with his Primordial Spirit Avatar, using the Power of the Reversing Death Spirit Grass to rebuild the Spirit Root Attribute into a unique, attribute-less form. However, this did not affect his expertise in the Dao of Arrays.

Looking at this unfinished Array Formation in front of him, it was the Primordial Array set by the Tianyan Divine Monarch.

This old fellow had intended, during Li Mu’s absence from the sect, to use the power of the Five Elements Yin Yang Spirit Gathering Array to complete the Primordial Array for cultivation and reshape his Spirit Root into the Chaos Spirit Root. This was an extremely bold idea; once successful, his Spirit Root Talent would reach a brand new level.

However, fortunately, the Tianyan Divine Monarch’s plan did not succeed, the formation was unfinished before encountering Bu Mie Demon Lord’s ambush, resulting in his unlucky demise.

Tianyan Divine Monarch’s fall also protected the seven Tier Five Spirit Plants planted on the Seven Main Peaks, otherwise, had Tianyan Divine Monarch completed the Primordial Array and used the array for cultivation, reshaping the Spirit Root, the seven Tier Five Spirit Plants planted in the Seven Profound Sect would have suffered a devastating blow.
