I Just Want to Cultivate Quietly and Farm

Chapter 655: Chapter 356: The Secret of the Avatar (Part 2)

”Daoist Monarch’s Discussion - The Drawbacks of Multiple Avatars”, this book’s title caught Li Mu’s attention, understanding that any cultivation method has its two sides, and Divinity Transformation Avatar cultivation is no exception. This book might be an in-depth exploration of some potential issues in the cultivation of multiple avatars, which is extremely important for avoiding pitfalls.

...

Lingering in front of the bookshelf for a long time, Li Mu finally carefully selected a few books he deemed greatly beneficial for his cultivation, containing profound insights and unique perspectives, covering aspects of Divinity Transformation Avatar cultivation, from basic theory to advanced techniques, from success stories to lessons from failures.

After condensing the first Wood Element Avatar, Li Mu immediately felt a peculiar connection between himself and the Wood Element Avatar, which made Li Mu feel vaguely uneasy, alerting him.

Li Mu sensed that condensing one Wood Element Avatar could risk losing control, so he decisively abandoned the refining of the remaining Divinity Transformation Avatars.

Ordinary Divinity Transformation cultivators usually, after enduring long years of cultivation, stepping into the threshold of the Late-Stage Divinity Transformation, accumulating sufficient Primordial Power in the body, and the Divine Soul becoming strong enough, only then cautiously attempt to condense a Divinity Transformation Avatar. This is a prudent and cautious approach, because condensing an avatar requires not only using high-tier spiritual materials but also deep tempering and differentiation of the Divine Soul, and even in the Late-Stage Divinity Transformation, cultivators typically condense only one avatar to prevent loss of control or harm to the main body.

However, Li Mu chose to prepare to condense seven avatars at the Early Stage of Divinity Transformation, which is relatively fragile for most cultivators. This is undoubtedly an extremely risky and radical approach, contrary to the conventional cultivation path, inherently containing many unknown potential risks.

...

Li Mu soon immersed himself in the ocean of knowledge found in the books, attempting to understand the difficulties of refining Divinity Transformation Avatars through the wisdom of predecessors.

In the process of deeply studying the books, Li Mu gradually understood the reason for the peculiar feeling he experienced after condensing a Divinity Transformation Avatar.

It turns out, the purpose of cultivating a Divinity Transformation Avatar is not only to condense a Dharma Body but also to fuse and refine the Dao of Heaven and Earth, preparing for promoting to the next realm. In this process, the body technique merges, refining into the unique Dharma Realm of the Void Refining Realm, which is the core of Avatar cultivation.

At the same time, Li Mu also learned more secrets about the Divinity Transformation Avatar, whose Primordial Soul is derived from the Main Primordial Spirit, becoming a soulless entity that can reside in Heaven and Earth Spiritual Objects, gradually condensing into an avatar, achieving the Dharma Body. During this process, the Avatar possesses a unique singularity, meaning while the Avatar is under the control of the main body, it already possesses an independent personality, autonomous consciousness, and will have the main body’s memories.

This means, for the Avatar, it understands its future situation, becoming an existence within the main body’s Dharma Realm. Although it cannot ”defy” the main body’s will, in certain special circumstances, there is a possibility of the Avatar taking over.

For example, if the main Primordial Spirit is unexpectedly destroyed, losing control of the main body, the Avatar can easily become an independent entity, replacing the identity of the main body.

Moreover, if the main Primordial Spirit encounters some unknown mistake or accident during the condensation of avatars, causing a rupture or distortion in the link between the avatar and the main body. In such cases, the avatar may become difficult to control, and might even launch an attack on the main body.

...

Condensing a Divinity Transformation Avatar, if out of control, the severity of the consequences places Li Mu under significant pressure, potentially hindering cultivation, and when this number scales to seven, the risk and pressure become unimaginable.

During the in-depth study of these secret scriptures, Li Mu saw numerous attempts and results from predecessors. Some succeeded due to their resilient will and extraordinary talent, successfully refining multiple Divinity Transformation Avatars, making these avatars powerful aids, helping them reach the pinnacle of cultivation, achieving legends. Likewise, many failed, with their avatars not effectively controlled, rather becoming a major obstacle on their cultivation path. These avatars not only failed to enhance their strength but instead attacked them, leading to interruptions in their cultivation path, even shortening their lives.

After deeply researching these cases, guided by numerous scriptures, Li Mu understood the key factors in controlling and refining multiple Divinity Transformation Avatars. It turned out, all this is closely related to the strength of the Divine Soul.

The Primordial Soul refined in a Divinity Transformation Avatar is derived from the Main Soul, meaning as long as the main body’s Divine Soul is strong enough, and remains unharmed during refining, the Avatar cannot escape the main body’s control. This control is not only guidance for the avatar’s actions but also a constraint on its consciousness, making the strength of the Divine Soul directly relate to whether the avatar can loyally execute the main body’s will.

Soon, Li Mu further discovered that the strength of the Divine Soul not only determines the ability to control the avatar but can also affect the link between the avatar and the main body. A strong Divine Soul can better control the avatar, making its actions more coordinated, and also strengthening the spiritual bond between the avatar and the main body, reducing the risk of loss of control. This spiritual bond acts like an invisible chain, tightly connecting the avatar and the main body, ensuring they face challenges together with the main body.

And for refining multiple Divinity Transformation Avatars, a strong Divine Soul is an indispensable support. Multiple avatars mean needing to simultaneously control multiple Primordial Souls, requiring extremely strong Divine Soul as support. Only with sufficient Divine Soul power can each avatar be effectively controlled, avoiding conflicts or loss of control among them.

Understanding the key factors of controlling and refining multiple Divinity Transformation Avatars, Li Mu’s mood relaxed slightly. He has already cultivated the Star Nebula Visualization Method to the second layer, according to his current Divine Soul strength, refining seven Divinity Transformation Avatars is no problem, but ensuring these avatars fully follow his will, preventing any accidents, the current Divine Soul strength is far from enough.

Li Mu knew that his primary task next is to cultivate the Star Nebula Visualization Method to Second Layer Perfection, increase his Divine Soul strength, ensure multiple avatars can be better controlled.

However, relying solely on the Star Nebula Visualization Method may not suffice to meet Li Mu’s needs. To quickly enhance Divine Soul strength, Li Mu decided to search for other cultivation techniques that can enhance the Divine Soul to practice.

Now, he is in the Profound Celestial Sword Sect, the largest sect in the Central State Spirit Realm, the Dharma Transmission Hall should contain many Divine Sense Techniques comparable to the Star Nebula Observation Method. In addition to Divine Sense Techniques, consuming some Spirit Pills or Heaven and Earth Treasures that enhance Divine Soul strength can also increase Divine Soul strength.

Li Mu’s eyes glowed with enlightenment, gently closed the secret scriptures in his hands, already having a clear answer in his heart.

The contents recorded in these scripture volumes are extremely rich, covering various detailed introductions on Divinity Transformation Avatars, however, the refining principle of multiple avatars revealed therein is consistent: refining an avatar is a simple Technique, yet there are no shortcuts.

Ultimately, it requires cultivators to rely on their strong Divine Soul as support, using their own strength to overcome difficulties. As long as the Divine Soul is strong enough, one can ensure successfully refining multiple avatars, allowing them to loyally execute the main body’s will.

”Xu Zhishu, take me to find the ancient books recording the Chaos Secret Realm!”

Li Mu put down a few ancient books, walked to Xu Shaoqi beside the guard, and indicated.

”Alright, Elder Li, this way please!” Xu Shaoqi respectfully nodded in response, then led the way, guiding Li Mu towards the staircase leading to the fifth floor of the Scripture Pavilion.
