I Just Want to Cultivate Quietly and Farm

Chapter 130: Chapter 108: Moon Pearl Peak

Li Mu passed his artifact refining assessment, and Yin Xianwen immediately processed his initiation into the Sect, enrolling Li Mu into Hundred Refinement Peak, and confirming his position as Artifact Refining Elder.

Once Li Mu attained his status as an Artifact Refining Elder at Hundred Refinement Peak, Yun Xiaozhi continued to guide him to the Contribution Hall to select a Spirit Mountain.

Watching Yun Xiaozhi, Li Mu departed.

”Elder Yin, could my artifact refining commission be entrusted to Elder Li for refinement?” asked Ling Hongyu, looking at Yin Xianwen.

”Why! Aren’t you waiting for Elder Chen? Aren’t you afraid this newly appointed Elder Li is too young and might fail in refining?” Yin Xianwen asked with a smile.

”No, I have confidence in Elder Li! Let him handle it!” Having witnessed Li Mu’s artifact refining, Ling Hongyu was full of confidence.

”Alright! When he comes to receive tasks next time, I’ll help you arrange it!” Yin Xianwen nodded with a smile, agreeing with Ling Hongyu’s judgment.

——

Yun Xiaozhi led Li Mu to Supreme Profound Peak, where the Ancestral Hall and Contribution Hall were established.

The Ancestral Hall is at the peak, while the Contribution Hall is located on the mountainside. In the center, the giant Sword Plaza was crowded with cultivators flying with sword control, creating a lively atmosphere.

”Greetings, Senior Brother Yun!”

”Greetings, Cloud True Inheritance!”

”Senior Brother Yun, are you heading to the Contribution Hall? Let’s go together!”

...

Yun Xiaozhi flew down with Li Mu with sword control, greeted warmly by surrounding Foundation Establishment Disciples.

”No, I have other matters. Junior Brother Zhou, you go ahead!” Yun Xiaozhi responded with a smile to a Golden Core Cultivator who approached.

”Senior Brother Yun, you are really popular in the sect!” Li Mu complimented with a smile.

”Haha, once you solidify your status as an Artifact Refining Elder, I’m sure you’ll be even more popular than me.” Yun Xiaozhi laughed, indicating to Li Mu.

”Uh! Senior Brother Yun, I just want peaceful cultivation, without engaging with too many people, is there a way?” Upon hearing this, Li Mu frowned, willing to join the Qing Xuan Sect headquarters as an Artifact Refining Elder. His ultimate goal was a Spirit Mountain, wanting only quiet farming, avoiding much social interaction.

”So Junior Brother Li is a Pure Cultivator, that’s easy to arrange. Once you’ve claimed your Spirit Peak, hire an Array Master to cover the Spirit Peak and declare a closed training session, then recruit an errand disciple to occasionally retrieve artifact refining materials and submit refinement tasks at Hundred Refinement Peak. They’re unaware if you meet directly with commissioning disciples from the Inner Sect, so many wouldn’t recognize you as Elder Li in Qing Xuan Sect!” Yun Xiaozhi laughed, advising Li Mu.

Upon hearing this, Li Mu was inspired and immediately asked, ”Senior Brother Yun, I only have Foundation Establishment cultivation, and recruiting fellow Foundation Establishment Disciples seems inappropriate, can Outer Disciples be recruited?”

”Certainly, Outer Sect disciples cherish such opportunities, and would work even harder!” Yun Xiaozhi nodded with a smile.

Li Mu was overjoyed, wonderful! This way, the ’Zhao Huai Ren’ Outer Disciple Token could be utilized, leaving the Spirit Peak solely to him.

Soon, led by Yun Xiaozhi, they reached the Contribution Hall and approached a management disciple arranging Spirit Peaks.

”Senior Brother Yan, this is the newly appointed Artifact Refining Elder—Li Mu. I’ve brought him to select a Spirit Peak; please help us, Senior Brother Yan!” Yun Xiaozhi presented Li Mu’s new identity token, indicating to the management disciple.

”Oh! Junior Brother Li, impressive! Quite young, yet highly skilled in artifact refining!” Management disciple Yan Song received Li Mu’s disciple token, scanned it with Divine Sense, confirmed Li Mu’s identity, and praised him profusely.

An Artifact Refining Grandmaster! Perhaps there will be requests of him in the future, best to establish good relations now.

”However, Junior Brother Li, although you’ve newly joined Qing Xuan Sect with an Elder title, currently lacking contribution. If selecting a Spirit Peak now, only D-level choices are available. I suggest Junior Brother Li initially refines some Spiritual Artifacts to contribute to the Sect, exchanging for better Spirit Peaks. Presently, there are several Level A Spirit Peaks, even B-level peaks are notably better than D-level peaks.” The management disciple Yan Song furrowed his brows, kindly advising Li Mu.

”Senior Brother Yan, can my contributions be used?” Yun Xiaozhi anxiously proposed.

”Junior Brother Yun, you know the Sect regulations; strict rules forbid any form of private contribution transactions, even gifting is prohibited.” Yan Song stated sternly, warning Li Mu.

Yun Xiaozhi frowned, recognizing the severity, aware that the Sect strictly prevents contribution trade, harshly penalized if discovered; expulsion from the Sect being lenient.

”Junior Brother Li, what are your plans? Is it to choose now or wait until contributions have been made?” Yun Xiaozhi asked Li Mu, considering Li Mu’s urgency and his oversight that contributions correlate with Spirit Peak quality.

Matching Yun Xiaozhi’s apologetic gaze, Li Mu thought of something and asked the management disciple, ”Senior Brother Yan, can contribution tasks be obtained here? I recall the Sect issued a hunting task against Blood God Sect’s Huan Xue Divine Child.”

”Indeed, there is such a task, Junior Brother Li. You can receive it with your Disciple Token. If you submit the task, just hand over the head of the Huan Xue Divine Child for confirmation. Why? Do you want to take this task? But he is the True Inheritance of the Blood God Sect!” Yan Song looked at Li Mu returning the Disciple Token to him and explained, surprised.

”Junior Brother Li?” Yun Xiaozhi was surprised to see Li Mu take back the Disciple Token and accept the task on the spot!

Yun Xiaozhi swept his Divine Sense over his own Disciple Token and immediately confirmed that the bounty task for slaying the ’Huan Xue Divine Child’ had just been claimed. However, to protect the sect disciples, the individual claiming the task was anonymous.

Nonetheless, given the circumstances, Yun Xiaozhi could confirm that it was Li Mu who had just claimed the task to slay the Huan Xue Divine Child.

Li Mu smiled slightly, took a wooden box and a blood-colored token from the Storage Bracelet on his right hand, and handed them to Yan Song, saying, ”Senior Brother Yan, here is the head of the Huan Xue Divine Child, and his Identity Token. Please verify, Senior Brother Yan.”

Yan Song was stunned, hurriedly took the wooden box, and opened it. Inside, indeed, was the head of the ’Huan Xue Divine Child’, specially preserved by a secret method. The aura unique to a Golden Core cultivator’s head was unmistakable. Moreover, the True Inheritance Token from the Blood God Sect further proved the authenticity of the head.

”It’s really the head of the Huan Xue Divine Child! Junior Brother Li, what happened?” Yun Xiaozhi was shocked, looking at Li Mu in surprise, and asked anxiously.

The Huan Xue Divine Child! Due to the opposing sect relationship, Yun Xiaozhi had fought him multiple times, mostly losing. This had been weighing on Yun Xiaozhi’s mind, and he was constantly prepared to face him again, seeking to avenge past defeats.

Who knew, just as Yun Xiaozhi was preparing to take action, the head of the Huan Xue Divine Child would appear in Li Mu’s hands, leaving Yun Xiaozhi caught between joy and disbelief, and more so, shocked about how Li Mu accomplished it.

”Here’s what happened: when I was coming to the Qing Xuan Sect, I was on a cargo ship from the Ten Thousand Treasures Pavilion. The Huan Xue Divine Child disguised himself as a Golden Core Tributor, and with a few Foundation Establishment cultivators, seized the ship midway, ..., ultimately, the Huan Xue Divine Child was killed by people from the Ten Thousand Treasures Pavilion. Because I was previously an Artifact Refining Honored Guest Elder of the pavilion, they knew I was coming to the Qing Xuan Sect, so they gave me his head.” Li Mu smiled slightly, attributing the slaying of the Huan Xue Divine Child to the Ten Thousand Treasures Pavilion.

”Senior Brother Yan, does this count as completing the bounty task?” Li Mu smiled slightly, inquiring with the astonished Yan Song.

”Yes, of course it counts. Didn’t you also participate in the battle, Junior Brother Li! Since the Ten Thousand Treasures Pavilion gave you the head, it naturally counts as you completing the task, as they aren’t members of our sect!” Yan Song nodded with a smile, congratulating Li Mu, ”The bounty contribution for the Huan Xue Divine Child is 100,000 contribution points. Congratulations, Junior Brother Li! With this contribution, you can choose a Level A Spirit Peak.”

As he finished speaking, Yan Song took out a Purple Jade Scroll from his bosom and handed it to Li Mu, saying, ”This contains the details of several Level A Spirit Peaks. Take a look and choose which one you want, and I’ll help you register.”

Li Mu accepted the Jade Scroll with a smile, infusing his Divine Sense into it and began to select.

The primary selection criteria were many Spirit Fields, high Spirit Vein, and a remote location, avoiding crowded areas, ... very soon, among the seven or eight Level A Spirit Peaks, Li Mu selected a suitable target.

”Senior Brother Yan, I’ve chosen! I want the Moon Pearl Peak.” Li Mu handed the Purple Jade Scroll back to Yan Song.

”Junior Brother Li, I thought you’d choose Wangtian Peak! Are you sure about choosing Moon Pearl Peak!” Yan Song asked with deep meaning in his eyes, looking at Li Mu.

”Junior Brother Li!” Yun Xiaozhi furrowed his brow, kindly reminding and persuading Li Mu to opt for Wangtian Peak, as Yan Song had clearly hinted it was a better Spirit Peak.

”I’ll go with Moon Pearl Peak! Wangtian Peak is too big and located too well. I’d prefer a quieter spot for myself and leave this peak to other senior brothers!” Li Mu smiled apologetically at Yun Xiaozhi and firmly decided.

”Alright! Each has their own preferences. We shouldn’t force others!” Yan Song glanced at Yun Xiaozhi, reminding him, and then asked Li Mu, ”Junior Brother Li, please give me your Disciple Token. I’ll submit the task for you and register the Spirit Peak.”

”Thank you, Senior Brother Yan!” Li Mu excitedly handed over his Disciple Token with both hands.

Compared to Wangtian Peak’s grandeur and prominent location, Moon Pearl Peak was different. It was shorter, not even a thousand zhang in height, yet because of this, it had plenty of land available for Spirit Fields, with 56 acres of top-grade Spirit Fields and 170 acres of middle-grade Spirit Fields ready for cultivation. Once all these Spirit Fields were planted with Spirit Plants, any number of Spirit Fields could be further developed, and as many Spirit Plants could be planted without hesitation or difficulty.

”Junior Brother Li, this peak has been registered in your name. In the future, if you complete the Artifact Refining tasks arranged by Hundred Refinement Peak, all the profits generated from this peak will belong solely to you. However, if you fail to complete the Artifact Refining tasks arranged by Hundred Refinement Peak, you will need to pay the sect 500,000 Middle Spirit Stones annually.” Yan Song returned the Disciple Token to Li Mu as he indicated.

”Thank you, Senior Brother, for the reminder. I will definitely strive to complete them!” Li Mu accepted the Disciple Token, nodding with a smile.

”Alright! Hold on a moment!” Yan Song nodded, his Divine Sense investigated his Storage Bracelet, then handed Li Mu a Jade Token, saying, ”This is the Array Token of your Moon Pearl’s existing cave residence. Take it. If you want to build another cave residence or set up other Defensive Arrays, you can go to White Cloud Peak and find Senior Brother Liu and the others. Just tell them I referred you.”

”Okay, thank you, Senior Brother Yan!” Li Mu accepted the Array Token, gratefully expressing his thanks.

”Senior Brother Yan, let’s arrange another meeting soon. I’ll first take Junior Brother Li to see the Spirit Peak.” Yun Xiaozhi said goodbye to Yan Song with a smile.

”Sure! Let’s meet another time!” Yan Song smiled and nodded, watching the two leave.

...

Soon, the two soared on their swords, flying towards Moon Pearl Peak.

”Junior Brother Li, why chose Moon Pearl Peak? It’s not convenient as I’ll need to fly a longer distance to visit.” After leaving the Contribution Hall, Yun Xiaozhi continued to nag next to Li Mu’s ear.

”I’m sorry for the extra trouble, Senior Brother Yun, but I prefer the tranquility of Moon Pearl Peak!” Li Mu smiled and didn’t offer much explanation. Otherwise, Yun Xiaozhi would be around all the time, and all secrets would be exposed.
