Rebirth in Japan: The Heiress Who Conquered the World

After making the decision to join Saionji, he immediately took action.

So, in how many steps would Sanyo Securities joining Saionji be divided?

He immediately realized a problem:

Saionji was by no means dependent on Sanyo Securities.

Sanyo definitely was not the only securities company Saionji had investigated previously.

All they needed was a door.

If Sanyo was willing to open it, of course, that would be great.

If Sanyo did not, Saionji could completely just go knock on the next one.

As long as another securities company sold its control to Saionji first, Sanyo’s greatest value right now would instantly shrink.

Once Saionji acquired its own licenses, exchange qualifications, and settlement channels, why would they still spend a high price to buy a second set?

In another two years, Sanyo’s business outlets might still be there.

The employees would still be there too.

But by that time, what Saionji saw would likely only be a batch of people left to pick through, and an increasingly ugly balance sheet.

The one who truly ran out of time was Sanyo.

Therefore, he had to start acting right now.

Almost as soon as dawn broke this morning, Tsuchiya summoned the relevant personnel and started looking for people.

Moreover, from the very beginning, he had no intention of going to the Saionji Securities Preparation Team first, or slowly passing messages through some middlemen.

What he wanted to see was Saionji Satsuki, the supreme power holder of Saionji, the person who could truly decide whether or not to buy Sanyo Securities.

Since he had already decided to gamble the entire company and himself, Tsuchiya was not prepared to hand this matter over to anyone without decision-making power.

But Saionji Satsuki was obviously not someone you could see just because you wanted to.

His secretary had submitted a meeting request according to normal procedures early in the morning, but did not get a time slot.

Tsuchiya waited for a while and had a second phone call made, but the other party still only politely stated they would relay it for him; as for when Satsuki would be willing to see him, there was no commitment whatsoever.

Tsuchiya quickly realized that continuing to sit in the office waiting for a phone call was meaningless.

Since an appointment could not be made, he would go find her directly.

Less than half an hour later, he directly took the finance director, executive director, and lawyer to the Saionji Main Residence.

The main residence received them very politely.

And then told him:

The Eldest Miss has already gone out.

”Where did she go?”

The person in charge of reception only slightly bowed.

”Apologies, Mr. Tsuchiya.”

Tsuchiya immediately understood that continuing to ask would not get him anything out of them.

So he went to the company again.

Still could not find her.

The group side naturally knew where their young family head was today, but no one would hand over Satsuki’s schedule for the day just because of the president of a securities company who suddenly rushed over.

Tsuchiya had no choice but to continue asking.

”Will she return here today?”

”Not sure.”

”What about the Securities Preparation Team in Nihonbashi?”

”The Eldest Miss currently has no plans to go over there today.”

Standing in the lobby, Tsuchiya actually calmed down instead.

From the main residence to the group, he had already struck out twice in a row, and waiting a few more minutes now made no difference.

Since he had decided he must see Satsuki today, he had already prepared to spend a whole day looking for her.

The staff member across from him confirmed it for him once again, and the reply received was still that the Eldest Miss had no plans to return to the company today.

Tsuchiya nodded.

Just as he was about to have his secretary continue making phone calls, he suddenly remembered something.

Saionji Satsuki is eighteen years old this year.

She is still a university student.

”Did she go to school today?”

The staff member opposite clearly paused for a moment.

Seeing this reaction, Tsuchiya immediately knew he had guessed right.

Ten minutes later, several cars were already driving toward Mejiro.

As a result, when they arrived at Gakushuin, things were not much smoother.

After hearing their identities and purpose, the school administration was very polite and promised to relay the message to Satsuki for them, but without an appointment, let alone the personal consent of the person herself, it was naturally impossible to let a few outsiders enter the campus directly to find a student.

As for whether Satsuki had classes today, which building she was currently in, or when she would come out of the school, the school authorities similarly did not disclose anything.

Tsuchiya did not continue to make things difficult for them either, and only waited outside the gate for a while.

Thus, the cars were driven nearby by the drivers to wait, while Tsuchiya stayed by the school gate with the executive director, the head of finance, and the lawyer, creating the out-of-place scene with the university campus as it was right now.

Thinking of this, Tsuchiya glanced at the school gate again.

Three forty-eight.

The executive director gently tugged at the shirt that was already stuck to his back.

”President.”

”Hmm?”

”What if we still cannot see her today?”

Tsuchiya looked ahead.

”Then we wait until the school closes.”

The executive director opened his mouth, but in the end, he did not try to persuade him further.

The head of finance next to him, however, gave a bitter smile.

”The last time I waited for someone outside a school gate, it was waiting for my daughter to finish school.”

”Then today is a good time to review that.”

Tsuchiya casually replied.

Hearing that, the lawyer let out a laugh and soon raised his hand to wipe his sweat again.

The atmosphere eased up just a little bit.

Just at this moment, a black sedan drove over from not far outside the school gate.

Tsuchiya originally only glanced at it casually.

The next second, his gaze stopped.

The car slowly pulled over near the school gate, and the front passenger door opened a step earlier.

A young woman got out of the car, walked around to the back row, and pulled open the door for the person inside.

Tsuchiya was originally just staring at that car, but when he saw the person getting out of the back seat, he instantly realized who had come.

That was a girl who looked even younger than in the photos, wearing a light-colored shirt and a dark long skirt, with her long hair simply tied back behind her head, and holding a document that looked like school materials in her hand.

After getting out of the car, she first lowered her head to glance at the time, while the young woman from earlier had already closed the car door for her.

Tsuchiya stood straight almost immediately.

Tsuchiya had never met Satsuki herself, but he was not completely unfamiliar with her appearance.

He had seen this face many times in photos related to social occasions among families, schools, or the Old Kazoku, and it was simply impossible to mistake her.

”She is here.”

The few people beside him simultaneously looked in the direction of his gaze.

The executive director reacted half a beat slow, and only after confirming did he ask in a low voice:

”Miss Saionji?”

Tsuchiya had already stepped forward and walked out.

”Bring the materials.”

The lawyer subconsciously prepared to hand him the document bag in his arms, but Tsuchiya waved his hand instead.

”You hold it, come with me.”

Several people immediately followed.

On the way here today, Tsuchiya had actually thought many times about how he should speak once he truly saw Satsuki.

Under normal circumstances, he should first hand over his business card, finish the necessary pleasantries, then state his purpose, and ask the other party to give him ten-odd minutes to talk things through clearly.

But after truly seeing Satsuki, he quickly put that set of preparations aside.

There were only a few dozen meters from the parking spot to the Gakushuin school gate, and after getting out of the car, Satsuki had already walked straight toward the inside, clearly having no intention of stopping to receive them.

Tsuchiya had managed to find her with great difficulty today, so he naturally could not expect to slowly start at the pace of a normal visit.

Whether he could get a negotiating opportunity today depended entirely on these few dozen meters.
