Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 901: Chapter 340: Seclusion, Growing Yu Generation, Family Banquet, Rapid Development (Part 5)

”I haven’t paid attention to the camp’s situation for a whole year. Today I summoned you, not only for a family banquet but also for serious matters. Tell me about the current situation in Xia City!”

After three rounds of drinks, Xia Hongcai began to discuss business.

Xia Chuan was evidently prepared and was just waiting for Xia Hong to ask about this. He immediately answered seriously, ”There’s no need to talk about the population. You’ve always been aware of that, brother. I’ll focus on the cultivation levels and the situation of the seven departments.”

[Population: 669,274]

Xia Hong nodded. Indeed, there was no need for Xia Chuan to mention the population of Great Xia; he could always see it. What he mainly wanted to understand was the current cultivation levels and the situation of the seven departments.

”As of the beginning of this month, the entire Great Xia has 1,074 people at the Cold Resistance Level; 6,920 people at the Earth-digging Realm Limit; 123,978 people at the Earth-digging Realm; and 294,072 people at the Logging Realm.

The Hunting Department currently has a total of 3,726 squads under its command: 182 Advanced Teams; 976 Intermediate Squads; the rest are all low-level squads. The reformation regulations from two years ago are still in effect; the headquarters only manages the 182 Advanced Teams along with a handful of Intermediate Squads in the Inner City. The rest of the Hunting Teams are overseen by the seven departments of the Outer City and other outposts.

Next is Luo Yuan’s Tiger Leopard Army, which was officially established at the beginning of this year. Recently, I have been preparing for the creation of a fifth military division, which should be smoothly established within the year;

The Alchemy Pavilion, Martial Arts Pavilion, and Artifact Refining Pavilion are places you often visit, brother, so I won’t go into the changes in the remaining six departments;

The population of the four outer cities of Great Xia is concentrated in East City, which is currently divided into seven blocks from East First District to East Seventh District. The overall usage area is just one-tenth, leaving large areas reserved for future use;

Then there are Wuyuan and East Ridge.

Over the past year, Xu Ning has not rushed things and has slowly explored another thirty kilometers eastward, roughly in the middle area north of the Xing River, but as of now, there is no news about the Moao Nine Towns.

Lu Yang sends a message back once a month; the last message said that people from Beishuo had already made an inspection visit to East Ridge. He maintained a humble stance, agreeing to cooperate obediently with the other seven families on Beining Mountain to pay tribute once every six months. He also gave extra gifts to the Beishuo Inspector, so there shouldn’t be any problems. He’s just waiting to set off for Beishuo Town with the seven family leaders next time to truly glimpse the reality of Beishuo Town.”

After listening, Xia Hong kept nodding, especially upon hearing the latest news from East Ridge. Knowing that Lu Yang would soon get a real glimpse of Beishuo Town, his eyes lit up significantly.

”Brother, are you planning to exit seclusion?”

Considering that Xia Hong had not cared about the camp’s situation for so long and suddenly inquired, Xia Chuan naturally assumed that Xia Hong intended to come out of seclusion.

To come out of seclusion would imply that brother’s cultivation level must be...

”No, no, I still need to continue in seclusion. This time, it might take longer, so I met with you in advance to inform you. You can notify me before the Beipo Silver Mine is exhausted. Apart from this matter, you can handle other matters yourself. Of course, if there’s something you can’t solve, you can also call me.”

”Understood, brother!”

Upon learning that Xia Hong would continue in seclusion, Xia Chuan showed a slight hint of disappointment but quickly adjusted his expression, nodding firmly in response.

”With the fifth army coming soon, the Military Department is nearly set up. You will appoint the Director of the Military Department this time; I won’t intervene!”

Xia Chuan was momentarily stunned, then immediately nodded, his expression moved, and said, ”Thank you for your trust, brother. I will make sure to do it well!”

The appointment of the Directors of the seven departments had always been made personally by Xia Hong. The decision to directly hand over the appointment of the Director of the Military Department, which is currently the most important position, shows Xia Hong’s immense trust in him, making it hard for Xia Chuan not to be moved.
