Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 565: Chapter 243: Hanqiong’s Great Battle, Realization After the Fact (Part 3)

Although the situation of the guards at the gate was unclear just now, the enemy’s execution was clean and efficient, without alarming anyone, clearly prepared.

”Charge!”

Three Cold Resistance Level wielding large blades swiftly passed through the crowd and directly burst into the iron gate, cutting through a wave of arrows from the Earth-digging Realm within the valley with their horizontal blades, roaring angrily towards the hundreds of Earth-digging Realm individuals working together to close the gate.

”Wu Xiong, Zhou Yuan, Meng Ying, stop!”

A sharp voice came, Hanqiong’s army commander, Hou Tong, finally arrived.

Not only did he arrive alone, but all five Cold Resistance Level left behind to guard Hanqiong had also arrived.

The six formed pairs and surrounded Wu Xiong’s group of three.

Without any unnecessary words, the six quickly took action to drive the three away, preventing them from interfering with those closing the iron gate.

Bang......

Hou Tong’s silver Eight-sided Giant Hammer fiercely struck towards Zhou Yuan, although Zhou Yuan dodged, the hammer hit the ground causing a vibration that made Zhou Yuan stumble, nearly failing to stand.

”Wu Xiong, how dare you betray us!”

Hou Tong, unsuccessful in his strike, was full of fury, not directed at Zhou Yuan but towards Wu Xiong on the other side.

Unfortunately, Wu Xiong merely glanced back at him, eyeing the silver giant hammer in his hand briefly before ignoring him and focusing on dealing with the two others attacking him.

Six against three, the Cold Resistance Level of Long Mountain was clearly at a disadvantage.

However, the Earth-digging Realm quickly balanced this disadvantage.

As the speed of the iron gate closing slowed, the entry of Long Mountain’s army quickened, over a thousand soldiers quickly occupied the area near the iron gate, then pushed forward into the valley.

Soon, they cleared space for the rear Longyou army.

Whoosh whoosh whoosh......

The first batch of Longyou army finally entered the iron gate.

They didn’t rush in but aimed their bows at the six Cold Resistance Level attacking Zhou Yuan’s group, then began shooting continuously.

The defeating stance of Zhou Yuan’s group faded somewhat with the help of the Iron Arrows, suddenly easing the pressure considerably.

Moreover, as more Longyou army entered the iron gate and joined in the archery, the three even began to counter Hou Tong’s group of six.

”Lord Hong, it’s time for you to act!”

Seeing his side retreating, Hou Tong finally couldn’t resist shouting for assistance towards Xia Hong, who was still above the iron gate.

Clunk......

Unfortunately, the response from above the iron gate was a loud crash.

A special Iron Arrow shot from above, deflected by Xia Hong’s Yi Blade.

The arrow, stripped of most of its power, changed direction once and still managed to embed itself firmly into the three-meter thick iron gate.

Xia Hong, landing on the ground, looked up at the densely packed large rocks above the mountain wall, his expression became slightly somber.

The skilled Cold Resistance Level archer was hiding behind the rocks on the cliff, clearly the one who had methodically cleared the guards at the valley entrance.

”With at least fourteen mane strength, capable of wounding me, aimed at vital points that could kill me, this Long Mountain, can actually produce such a bow!”

This is troublesome.

Xia Hong instinctively glanced outside the iron gate, already calculating in his mind whether it was time to retreat.

Long Mountain’s strength was strong!

More than half of the Longyou army had already entered the valley entrance, and the hundreds of Earth-digging Realm in the chain area had long begun to retreat, their positions occupied by Long Mountain’s people, surrounding the outer two thousand Earth-digging Realm, some had already contacted Long Mountain’s army.

As Xia Hong predicted, upon collision, the allied forces of Zhaoyang and Hanqiong collapsed backward like paper.

He was not there to fight to the death, if Hanqiong couldn’t withstand this, he had to plan his retreat.

However, Xia Hong’s reaction seemed delayed.

Whizz...

Whoosh...

Slash...

A sword, a blade, a spear.

Three Cold Resistance Level individuals wielding different weapons suddenly leaped down from the air on the rock wall, their target obviously Xia Hong.

Even more critical, the Longyou army that just supported Wu Xiong’s group with arrows also turned at this moment, aiming at Xia Hong, and unleashed an incredibly dense rain of arrows.

”Target... is me?”

Xia Hong, realizing the situation belatedly, his complexion suddenly turned ashen, like blood!
